First time dining at this restaurant. We went on Friday night without reservation and were able to get a table right away. Our server said this was not the norm. We got the steamed branzino, prawn karee, mama e-la. All of the dishes were fantastic. The steam branzino was the standout. The fish tasted fresh and the soup that it was cooked it was so good especially with white rice. Definitely a must! The prawn karee was a solid option too. Plenty of prawns that were cooked well in a shrimpy egg karee. Great over rice! The mama e-la had good wok flavor and beef was tender.<br><br>The interior is nice, atmosphere lively, and service great and fast

Authentic Thai food with amazing flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server, Noon, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We absolutely loved her! Highly recommend Sappe Esaan Yummy Thai Food and can’t wait to come back.

Went there for my friend’s birthday for the first time and had such a great experience!<br><br>I really appreciated the celebration and how welcoming everyone was throughout the night.<br>All of the staff were super nice, especially Shogun our server who made everything even better with amazing service and attention.<br><br>My favorite dishes were the steamed branzino and the raw crab, both were incredibly fresh and flavorful.<br>Every cocktails we tried was great too.<br><br>I also loved the vibe and decor of the place, it felt fun, stylish, and perfect for a special night out. Definitely coming back again!🫶🏻

Had such a great experience at SAPPEISAN tonight.<br>The food was absolutely amazing, bold, authentic Isaan flavors.<br><br>My favorites were the Rim Khong Fish, Mama E-La, Raw Crab, Crying Tiger, and Duck Larb. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented.<br><br>Also, special thanks to Chokun for the amazing service throughout the night. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and gave us great recommendations.

I had dinner at Sappeisan with a friend and had a great experience. We ordered the Roll Laab, Combo 4, Mama E-La, and Kee Mao Chicken, and everything was excellent—really flavorful across the board.<br><br>The place was pretty busy, but the service never missed a beat. Our server, Pat, was great, and you could see the whole team was working together seamlessly to keep everything running smoothly.

She thoughtfully set everything up with candles, ice cream, and a great atmosphere that made the celebration feel personal and memorable. The service was warm, attentive, and truly above and beyond.<br><br>And the food was absolutely fantastic! Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. Easily some of the best Thai food we’ve had in NYC. 🌶️✨<br><br>Highly recommend for both special occasions and anyone looking for amazing Thai cuisine. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We loved it and Shane was so helpful giving great recommendations! Highly recommend mango dessert, the blue crab dish (Yum Pu Dong), the catfish dish, and the mushroom and tofu noodle dish (Mii Kati Jai)! Can’t wait to come back and try more. atmosphere is awesome too!

Sappe known for their Isan-style street food!<br><br>Thought the space is a bit cramped, the interior design is stunning, def worth the Resy since they get packed!<br><br>What we got:<br><br>Hed Tod ($15) 4/5: Loved the crunch on these fried enoki mushrooms. Super unique!<br><br>Mama E-La ($25) 4/5: Wok-fired flavors were on point and the beef was perfectly tender<br><br>Skewers ($30 for 6): A total highlight. I really like eating at Sappeisan. The food never misses, and the atmosphere is really fun. The restaurant is always bustling, so definitely make a reservation in advance. My friend and I ate here on a Friday night at 8:30 pm and, even with a reservation, had to wait a couple minutes for a table to be set up. We both ordered a Thai iced tea, which tasted amazing and super creamy. We shared a wing zaab as an appetizer. The fried marinated chicken wings were tangy and sweet at the same time. We also split a mama e-la and a khao soi gao yang. The mama e-la was garlicky and well-seasoned. The beef melted in my mouth! The khao soi gao yang is probably my favorite dish from here. The chicken is always tender, and the sauce is perfectly nutty and creamy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends!

Some dishes were great while others weren’t our favorites. We were a group of 3 and came pretty hungry so we were ready to order a lot of items. We started with the wings zaab which were amazing! The seasoning was perfect and it was so flavorful and delicious. As items were ready they would bring them to the table. We had the yum pu dong which was fermented blue crab, Mok kala which was a thick crab curry/paste, Pla rim khong which was branzino, green curry with grilled chicken, and Lek plara gai which was a noodle dish with chicken.<br><br>Out of everything the wings and Lek plara gai were my favorites. The noodles were delicious and a really good sauce mixed in. I also did like the green curry but it was a typical curry dish. The rest of the dishes weren’t our favorite, but they have such a large menu that I’d be open to coming back and trying more

The food at Sappeisan is worthy of the hype. Start with the papaya salad with salted egg ($16). The crunch, acidity, brightness and spice contrast well with the skewers ($20 for 4). My favorites were the chicken and stuffed pepper. The prawn curry ($28) is a dish you won’t find in many other Thai restaurants. Though mild in spice level, its richness will make you want more rice.<br><br>It was packed but sitting at the bar allowed such a lively interaction with the bartender who gave wonderful recommendations from the menu.

It was great. We were greeted warmly the moment we walked in. We were running late, and they didn't have an attitude with us.<br><br>The vibe is loud and colorful. I tend to get overwhelmed in loud spaces, but the food was so good that I forgot about that. Amy made our experience very comfortable, and I did not feel rushed to order at all. I want to bring all my friends here😊<br><br>Oh, and we were celebrating my birthday! They gave me a bday card as I entered. Amy and another staff member sang for me, and presented me with a delicious guava dessert. It all felt very sincere and warm.<br><br>This place is a lil gem x3

Took my mom and brother here for Valentine’s Day lunch and we loved it!! Food was super tasty. Skewers were smoky and juicy. Noodles were delicious with the right amount of flavor and went so well with the crispy pork. Lychee Panang Curry on the seasonal menu was top notch, the flavor and right amount of spiciness hit the spot for us. The dessert was so creative and tasty, ended the meal just right. We’ll surely be back!

Had a great dinner at Sappeisan. The food was excellent across the board — especially the skewers and noodles — and the cocktails were creative and really well done.<br><br>Our server Amy was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations without being overbearing. Everything came out at the right pace and the whole night just felt easy and enjoyable.<br><br>Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

This was our first time here. Definitely recommend making a reservation. The food was amazing! If you like spicy, the fiery papaya salad or the marinated crabs are fantastic! The skewers are also delicious. All the flavors work so well in each dish. Service was top notch, our water glass was always topped off. Definitely will be back to try other dishes.
