This place gets TURNT. Fridays/Saturdays are honestly the best days to come! They have good drinks, really depends on what you are into -- my favorite is 'The Barbie' and the presentation is great. They have good wings, empanadas and chicken soup (lol, I know random) The DJ is always live and knows how to make everyone have a good time. Honestly 9/10! OH - AND THEY HAVE HOOKAHHH!

It was so cute and hidden in plain sight. People this is a bronx GEM 💎. food was perfect and we took some home which I am eating right now and the spot was so cute. Went with my sister and friends after going to the movies and it ended a perfect 👌 day. Would be so cute for a date, im about to take the husband. Those drink flights.... they creep up. Lol

I stop by about twice a week and must say food has gotten better. Lately I’ve had no complaints about the food and I’ve tried almost everything. Bartenders are great but my fav is Nicole. Her attention to detail is outstanding and perfect communication. Some night can be a lot for some but just go early if you want a more quiet/chill vibe.

The food was great, service fast and the drinks were great. The rum punch i had was strong 💪🏾. It was a Wednesday and apparently carribean night. The DJ was awsome. I would definitely go back. Only negative was the space was a lil cramp if you wanted to dance due to the tables.

Thursday, April 9 a friend and I went to sangria’s in Bartow For happy hour. We ordered four cocktails and two buckets of beer when we got the bill the waitress charged us for three buckets instead of two, and when we complained and asked them to look at the cameras, no one helped us. In the end, they took back four beers from the second bucket that was already paid for. I will never go to this café again. Sangria in co-op city. We were willing to pay for what we ordered. They proceeded to call the police. We were so embarrassed. I don’t recommend this place to no one. Both photos that I posted of the buckets of beer were both ordered at two different the waitress was very unprofessional and nasty and she didn’t even want to say she made a mistake.

I wanted to take the time to write this because while people are quick to complain, we hardly ever take the moment to review truly great service. Our brunch at Sangria Cafe was absolutely incredible—the food was amazing, the value was good, and we left feeling completely overwhelmed by the hospitality.
The staff here is next-level. It wasn't just our assigned server; the entire staff was super attentive. Even the team members who weren’t our primary servers were constantly checking in to see how we were doing.
I want to give a massive shout-out to Claritza, who was beyond helpful. Even though she wasn't our main server, she was constantly at our table making sure we were taken care of—getting us extra ice, keeping us stocked with napkins, and checking in repeatedly to make sure we didn't need a thing. Her hustle and attention to detail were so impressive.
A few other special thank-yous:
• Karen, our server, was fantastic and kept everything moving perfectly.
• Brian, who really stood out by always making sure we had absolutely everything we needed.
• Chantel, the promoter, who was walking around with the DJ taking music requests.
It meant the world to us when they played The Beatles for my brother, who has special needs. That kind of kindness and inclusive atmosphere is rare to find.
If you’re looking for a spot in the Bronx with a great vibe, top-tier food, and a staff that actually cares about your experience, this is it. Thank you, Sangria Cafe, for a wonderful Saturday

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartwarming and detailed review! We are thrilled that Karen, Brian, and Claritza made you feel so well taken care of—we’ll be sure to pass your praise along to them.
It truly warms our hearts to hear that Chantel and our DJ could make the day special for your brother; creating an inclusive, joyful atmosphere is exactly what we strive for.
We can’t wait to welcome your family back to Sangria Cafe soon!
Warmly,
The Sangria Cafe Team

If you want to be fake "trendy" and overspend to front for your date, it's a good place to be. Nice atmosphere, but when a Jack & ginger ale is $20, and comes in like a 6oz glass full of ice, well, you be the judge...

Response from the owner

Hi Pelle, thank you for the feedback. We’re glad the atmosphere hit the mark for you. While we understand our style and pricing might not be for everyone, we take pride in the experience we’ve built—whether our guests are here for a big date or a casual drink.
Regarding the Jack & Ginger, it is actually our standard to serve this in a rocks glass for guests who prefer a more spirit-forward profile rather than a heavily diluted drink. A 6oz pour over plenty of ice is the traditional craft preparation for this style of glass to ensure it stays chilled and carbonated from the first sip to the last. We also understand every guest has different preferences for their mixer ratio, and we are always happy to serve it 'tall' in a highball glass if you prefer more ginger ale. We stand by the quality of our pours and the atmosphere we’ve created. We truly appreciate every guest who walks through our doors and the energy they bring—and as you said, we’ll leave you to be the judge.

Everything was delicious. The Owners and the Servers were very accommodating. I took a group of friends on a Monday. It was really a nice atmosphere, excellent food, and excellent service. We couldn't ask for more. I definitely recommend it for Date Night or a group outing. This is definitely the spot, hands down.

Response from the owner

Hearing that everything was delicious and that our owners and team made you feel accommodated means a lot to us. We can’t wait to welcome you and your friends back soon. The next round of sangria is waiting!

Great time, food is always good. Music and jamming was just a lot of fun!!

Change the hookah that's my only negative, it was horrible. They were great at trying to change it and attentive but it was never good. Didn't taste like anything and after the 2nd pull it was already burning. Ours and the surrounding 2 tables were feeling the same thing, and it just was yuck. Left the whole hookah and didnt bother with a refund. Not worth it.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for the great review!
We’re glad you had a fun night and enjoyed the food, music, and overall atmosphere. It means a lot to us that you took the time to share your experience.
We truly appreciate the feedback and look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

Great vibe for a Sunday brunch, especially if you’re celebrating a birthday. The music is loud with a great DJ, definitely not the spot if you’re trying to catch up and have a long conversation, but perfect if you want to enjoy the music, dance, eat, and drink. The servers were good about keeping the unlimited brunch drinks flowing. I really enjoyed the appetizer empanadas, but I wasn’t happy with my burger. I ordered it medium, but it came out well-done with a “well” tag on it. I even reconfirmed with the server, but unfortunately, it was overcooked and lacked flavor, so I didn’t finish it. Overall, I’d recommend this place for the vibes, drinks, and appetizers, but not so much for the main course.

Food was delicious, the tostones were crispy and served with the perfect sauce. They offered hookah and they have a good happy hour deal. The calamari tasted fresh and was a big portion.

My family and I came here on a Saturday during brunch time and it wasn’t the greatest experience.

Upon arrival, I heard the loud music and realized this might not be the spot for us. It’s a party brunch. There was a big speaker, some few large groups of people celebrating and dancing with not a quiet place in sight.

On the good note, we were greeted and seated right away. They also have a lot of food options on the menu and our server was attentive and helpful.

However, we were given dirty cups.

So for a quick recap:

Strike 1 the loud music.

Strike 2 the dirty glasses. There was a lipstick stain on one and floating dirt in another glass.

We ordered alot of food. The tostones were great. The fries were very soft. The calamari was tasteless. All of the sides weren’t very appetizing; the asparagus, the broccoli, the mash potatoes was very salty and the rice and beans were just okay.

My aunt ordered the lobster paella and she was the only pleased person at the table. She did say the sangria tasted like juice tho.

So by now we’re at strike three. Four. And five. Unfortunately we all left with that feeling of, “we should’ve gone somewhere else” but we tried it. So I will not be back here and I can’t really recommend.

I think if you’re looking for a party brunch, this is your place. And if you do come, you may want to order from the brunch menu, avoid ordering the sides and expect the sangria to taste like juice.

Very clean restaurant. For the kids, they give huge portions, which is great when feeding multiple children. They can actually share a plate. Out of everything I tried I really enjoyed the mac & cheese that came with the kids meal. I actually wished I ordered that myself. It was so delicious. I also like the fact that with lunch, you get a free glass of beer. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very nice and they helped us out with our toddler accommodations without us having to ask. I would definitely come back for the mac & cheese!

First time at the venue, although I passed it a hundred times. I'm glad I finally decided to pop in. We dined outside, although the restaurant was completely open. The food was good and atmosphere refreshing. Music played was old skool but still goodies. There was a bday party going on, but everyone else was dressed casually. Place is spacious, so plenty of seating is available. I will be visiting again while the weather is still nice to eat outside.
