Had the best girls’ dinner at Salinas! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, warm, lively, and the perfect mix of both elegant and cozy at the same. It was a great setting for catch up over great food and drinks! Everything ordered was delicious and highly enjoyable!

I’m genuinely confused by all the glowing reviews.<br><br>I love coming to NYC for the food, but this experience was so mediocre that I’m not sure I can trust Google reviews anymore.<br><br>To start, despite having a reservation, we weren’t even offered a choice of table and were seated in an unventilated area on a hot summer evening. And I’m the person who is always cold and typically enjoys a warmer setting, so if I found it uncomfortable, that says a lot.<br><br>The service also fell short of what you’d expect at this price point. We had to ask for our water to be refilled multiple times. When we requested water with ice—because, naturally, when you’re sitting in what felt like a hotbox, you’d like something to cool you down—the server looked confused. A few minutes later, a glass filled with ice arrived. Just ice. No water.<br><br>The food itself was equally underwhelming. The only thing that was good is presentation, but hey, you want presentation to complement the taste, not be the only feature, right?<br><br>The tapas selection left much to be desired. The pork belly was dripping with oil—which seemed excessive considering it’s already a very rich, fatty cut. Two tiny slices of anchovies were served on a disproportionately large plate for $20. The salmon tartare was so vinegary that it completely overpowered the flavor of the salmon. The beef skewers were decent, but the garbanzo beans were over-fried and saturated with oil. The steak was acceptable, but for the price, I expected much better.<br><br>By the end of the meal, I couldn’t wait to leave. It was simply too hot, and the food quality did not come close to compensating for the discomfort. Getting the check seemed impossible, so we ended up paying on our way out.

Salinas is a true hidden gem in Chelsea! The modern Spanish cuisine is incredible. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is intimate and elegant, making it the perfect spot for a great night out. The cocktails were also fantastic and the service was top-notch. I Will<br>definitely be back!

Visited last night after walking past many times. Great experience, has a small front dining room, bar and larger dining room at the back.<br>We had croquettes, empanada and pork belly. The croquettes were delicious; the pork belly was outstanding in both taste and presentation. For main we shared a hangar steak which was also excellent. Will definitely return

Incredible Spanish restaurant in Chelsea! Found this gem by accident and what an absolute treat! Incredible service, ambience, and the food and drinks were worthy of any Michelin restaurants! We ordered as much as we could off the menu and shared. The only complaint we had was we were too full to try everything. Salina’s is a must if you are in Manhattan. Increíble tío!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in New York! The food and drinks are amazing, and the service is incredible. The staff always go above and beyond to make your experience special. Steven is also amazing, and the hosts at the front are very friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for a great night out, definitely check out this spot!

This was actually the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had. I don’t know how it’s possible they have 4.7 stars. I’m utterly confused. We got 4 tapas to share and the portions were SO teensy tiny, you wouldn’t even be able to feed a rat with those portions. One of the tapas was literally two tiny pieces of anchovies laid on a giant plate (photographed below). And that was like $20????? Again, I’m flabbergasted. The taste was not even good, I know anchovies are salty but the rest of the dish (whatever little of it there was) did NOTHING to balance out the saltiness of the anchovy. I guess they expect us to feel full from the thought of food. Because the food was no where to be found. One other dish we had was literally cubed potato fries topped with a huge pile of spicy mayo (literally it was just spicy mayo) and a dollop of caviar. Needless to say, the taste was extremely disappointing and forgettable. The smoked salmon dish had way too much extra added oil. The croquettes were the best out of these dishes but again, it was very plain and still just disappointing.<br><br>Service was acceptable, they refilled our waters which were often empty because of how overly salty everything was.<br><br>The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. It’s a dimly lit and small cozy restaurant. It does feel a lot more like a hidden speakeasy than a restaurant.<br><br>So disappointing. We were considering a main after our tapas but honestly decided to just call it a day.

Incredible experience at Salina’s. We celebrated Valentine’s Day here and it was truly spectacular. The drinks were excellent, and the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the ceviche and the short rib, both were standout dishes. The ambiance was just as impressive. We sat in the garden room by the fireplace, which made for such a great vibe. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back..
