The pho itself was flavorful. Just wished the vermicelli noodle they used are more firm. The ambiance is nice as well!

Note: menu items cost extra if paying with card.

Mango salad was mid, minimal herbs/spice. The veg pho was good but nothing mind blowing. The did put some interesting soy beef that was cool but only 3 small bites of protein for 15 dollars is pretty crazy. Not sure I would go back.

They have vegetarian pho! Technically cash only but if you're willing to pay around $1 extra per dish, you can also use their online ordering system when you sit down.

Oxtail pho was a delightful experience, featuring generous portions of tender meat. However, the price had increased by $5 compared to the previous year. The wait staff was attentive, ensuring that our water refills were promptly attended to. It’s worth noting that the restaurant only accepts cash payments.

I’ve been coming to Saigon Shack to dine in or take out since 2021 but this past Tuesday I ended up getting the spicy brisket bahn mi and it’s had my stomach in shambles. It was cold and didn’t taste like the last time I got the spicy brisket rice bowl (in 2023/4) but I was hungry and now I’m paying for it.

Also the service wasn’t that good, the server who I hadn’t seen before was kind of rude. When I asked for no mayo on the bahn mi he laughed at me, that made me feel some kind of way. Anyways, if I do come back I’ll just stick to the chicken pho.

One of the best Pho in nyc. Loved everything! Definitely recommend. We had a wait time of 10-15minutes. Very small restaurant.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’m glad they’re still around. Decent vegetarian options. I had the vegetarian pho, the rice bowl, vermicelli bowl, and bahn mi. The bahn mi is a good size you can the entire thing if you’re really hungry. Get the bowl either vermicelli or rice. Has more veggies in it than the bahn mi. The vegetarian pho was good. All of these come with soy protein. I’ve gone different times. During the week it can get busy especially during colder months. If it’s just you and one other person your wait won’t be as long. More than 3 is a wait. Cash only. I’ve taken other people here. This last time I sat at the bar. Other times outside when it was really busy. For the amount of food, it’s average price. Staff just depends. It’s a casual spot. One of the better Vietnamese spots I go to in the city. Fast service, decent food.

I was looking for a place to eat pho with my friend and found this place. Workers were so nice, food was so good, gatekeeping this for real. Coming back again

Came here for the first time and had a pork chop banh mi which was normal, the bread wasn’t that crunchy.
Had sweet potatoes fries with mayo sauce and it was good. Had fried springs rolls and they were ok.
Overall the food was nice but not the best Vietnamese food Ive ever had.
I could come here back to try other dishes.
Good service and normal atmosphere.
Note: They dont accept card and this is a downsize for the customers.

I came in here on a cold, windy day, and the Vegetarian Phǒ was just what I needed to warm my bones and soul. The service was absolutely fantastic as well, I felt at home and taken care of in the space. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more of the Soy Protein to the Phǒ, there were only a couple pieces. Either way, I’ll definitely be back!

Great pho spot. I love their lemon grass chicken it’s sweet, smoky, and incredibly juice. The portion is very big and the price is very affordable especially considering the location. Just to keep in mind that there might be a little wait line. We came here on a Monday 6pm and there were no available seats. Definitely will come again and try their rice dishes :)

Aesthetic ambience, good food, and nice service. It filled up quickly when the store opened. I love how the kitchen is open so there's no wall between customers and those working back-of-house. The classic beef pho is fabulous, especially on a chilly or rainy day

Amazing Vietnamese spot! The bahn mis are so delicious, shrimp summer rolls fresh, coffee strong. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Price is reasonable. Service speed is excellent. Has outdoor seatings that are lovely.

We waited for about 10 mins for a seat for a table for 7 and made sure to bring cash. Service was fast, and the food came out hot and fresh.

We ordered the brisket pho, pork chop with vermicelli, and the pork and shrimp spring rolls.

The pork and shrimp spring rolls were smaller than expected, but they were crispy and served piping hot. The flavors were good, though I would’ve liked a slightly larger portion.

The brisket pho came with thinner noodles than I’m used to, but it worked well. There was a generous amount of brisket, and the portion was big enough to share with my daughter. It was flavorful without being overly salty. You can definitely taste the MSG—it gives the broth that rich, savory depth that makes it so satisfying. I just wish it had been served hotter; I prefer my soup hot-hot.

The pork chop with vermicelli was delicious—according to my partner, who enjoyed every bite.

I’d recommend both dishes.

The seating is limited and the space is small, so I suggest coming early.

There is outdoor and indoor seating available.

So good all around. Decent prices. Good service and a comfortable atmosphere. Almost went again the next day.

Got the beef pho with extra noodles. Some of the best I’ve had. Beef spring rolls. And my wife got the vermicelli noodles - really good as well. Noodles had good consistency and good tang but not overly vinegary. Oh and the sweet potato fries which were great. Not greasy and good firmness.
