NYC’s ultimate bagel destination!
A cute neighborhood spot.
At Sadelle's the menu focuses mainly on brunch items, but everything is thoughtfully curated. 🥯 Bagels are especially enjoyable fresh, warm, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The best bagels in New York, no doubt. You can see the bagels being made on-site.
The French toast is also amazing, and the toppings are fresh and high quality.
The food is beautifully presented, and everything about this place is impressive and lovely
The atmosphere is inviting, welcoming, and accommodating. The service is excellent: very attentive and friendly, which adds a lot to the overall experience.
The atmosphere is comfortable, cute, cheerful, and full of life. The overall vibe is warm, making it a great spot to slow down and enjoy the moment.
The cleanliness and hygiene are perfect.
It is very lively, so it can be a bit loud, but that is NYC.
Since it is a popular and very busy spot, (for good reason), it is definitely important to make a reservation in advance and try to visit on a less busy day for the perfect experience.

I strictly only came here for the French toast. I have to say I had mixed feelings. I think mine was slightly overcooked. Also it may have been a little too rich for my palette. Maybe it was me. I may have to try one more time to be certain. Overall the place is really nice inside and the service was impeccable. Get here early because it gets quite busy.

The food was delicious 😋 I really enjoyed my cobb salad but the French toast was definitely my favorite part of the meal. Definitely a sharing type of dish. The sadelle spritzer is also worth trying. My server was amazing and thoughtful. He brought me 2 shout wipes after I dropped a piece of chicken on my lap. This was my first time here but I'll definitely be coming back.

I came here a couple years ago and have been wanting to come back, so finally made it happen. The house salmon with bagel was just as good as I remembered. Super fresh smoked salmon and the cream cheese was light, smooth, and creamy.

The bagels were dense and chewy in a good way. The scrambled eggs were super fluffy and creamy. The potatoes were like roasted fingerling potatoes, crispy on the outside with a really soft inside.

Also got sausage and bacon on the side which was definitely worth it. The sausage was really flavorful and easy to bite through, not tough like some places. The bacon was nice and crisp without being overly greasy.

Really glad I came back here!

Sadelle’s is my go-to brunch spot. The bagels are fresh and perfect every single time — which matters, especially when you’re ordering breakfast and salmon can lowkey be risky. Their quality is actually insane, and everyone I go with always says the same thing.

The smoked salmon that comes with the house tower is my always order. So good. The mimosas are amazing too, and their other drinks never disappoint.

I’ll be honest though — the tomato soup was not my vibe at all, and the coffee didn’t do it for me either. But the bagels alone make it worth going.

The French toast is good but kinda overhyped in my opinion. It’s good, just not wow I’m losing my mind good. The pancakes though?? Soft, fluffy, sooo good.

Overall, Sadelle’s is still a great brunch spot. Always good vibes when I walk in.

Look me and my friend are New Yorkers . Is this place expensive yes. But it's yummy. The food is good if you're willing to spend the bread. It's cramped tho tbh like the chick in the booth next to you is practically sittin on ya lap. Eggs caviar yes. and the salmon is sliced so thin skinnnnnnntttyyy , and also if you're gonna get that chamomile drink thinking it's tea it's NOT. It's more like a ~mocktail~ which tastes like additives n sweetener (if u like that then no judgement) server gave us some French toast as a treat, so friendly !! Shared it with the chick that was basically on my lap next to me. Bonded.

Sadelle’s never disappoints. We ordered the fish tower with white fish, lox, and smoked fish—everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The tuna salad was a standout; the dressing was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. And the French toast… absolutely mouthwatering. Soft, rich, and indulgent, with presentation that makes you want to take photos before taking a bite. From the food to the presentation, everything was on point. Highly recommend.

We made an reservation 5 days ago. It wasn’t super busy but because it was weekday. We had omelette, blueberry pancekes and eggs with bagel. The cream cheese was AMAZING. We had their everything bagels and it was crispy and fresh. We definitely recommend. Bloody mary was good but not a must.

Delicious! My girlfriend and I shared the chicken sandwich and the French toast, and both dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The French toast had a great crunch on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside so good. The mimosas were really good and perfectly portioned.

Service was excellent; our server was attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is nice, though the place is usually packed, so seating is close together and it can get a bit noisy. Overall, it’s a great spot for brunch and definitely worth checking out.

The atmosphere of this place was truly lovely and did not disappoint ✨ While the menu isn’t extensive and focuses mainly on brunch items, everything felt thoughtfully curated. The food was lovely! The egg and bagels were especially good. We even tried the tuna. It’s not my first visit to any Sadelle’s location, but this time, the French toast didn’t quite hit the mark for me; it seemed a bit burnt.

So happy we finally made it to Sadelle’s- it’s been sitting at the top of my must-try list forever, and it completely lived up to my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the space had that charming, old-school café feel: cozy, bustling, and full of that classic New York energy without feeling chaotic.

We started with the classic lox, and wow- absolutely incredible. I loved how thinly it was sliced; you could taste the silky texture and fresh flavor in every bite. Paired with their iconic bagels (perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside), it’s exactly what you want a New York bagel experience to be. The cream cheese was amazing too!

The French toast deserves its own paragraph because it was that good- easily the best I’ve ever had. Thick, golden, and somehow rich without being heavy. Every bite tasted like pure breakfast magic. The breakfast potatoes were another pleasant surprise: crispy edges, soft centers, and seasoned just right.

Service was great from start to finish. Our server was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and checked in just enough without hovering. It made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable.

Overall, Sadelle’s absolutely delivered. I can’t wait to go back and try even more of the menu. Just a heads-up: definitely make a reservation- this place gets busy, and now I fully understand why. Loved everything about it.

Sadelle’s is always a reliable, feel-good New York classic. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh bagels and warm challah hits you, and the retro-chic dining room sets the mood. Their smoked salmon tower is the star—fresh, generous, beautifully arranged—and the bagels are perfectly chewy with that signature gloss. Service can get a little busy during peak hours, but the staff stays friendly and upbeat. A bit on the pricier side, but worth it for a true NYC brunch experience in a lively, iconic setting.

We visited Sadelle’s in New York and had a mixed experience. I ordered the eggs any style with scrambled eggs, which was great. The eggs were perfecy done, the potatoes were so crispy and tasty and the bagel and cream cheese were also great. My friend got the avocado with poached eggs, but they were overcooked. The waiter didn’t ask how she wanted the eggs, and we assumed they would come poached easy as that’s how it works at most olaces. We also tried the mimosa, which wasn’t very good and was served in a wine glass instead of a Champagne flute, which made the presentation feel off. The highlight of the meal was definitely the French toast!! It was delicious and crispy. We were a bit disappointed that the espresso machine was down, so brewed coffee was the only option.
