The arroz moro was honestly the star for me. The vaca frita was flavorful and crispy, and the un poquito de todo literally lets you try a little bit of everything
Small portions tough
Had an Americano spritz and sangria outside with a beautiful view!

Response from the owner

We brought our parents here to try Cuban food for the first time, and they really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, especially the paella, which was our favorite dish. The view is beautiful, the service was quick, and all of the servers were very kind and welcoming.

The only downside was that the restaurant felt quite crowded and noisy, so it was hard to fully enjoy the Cuban music and atmosphere. Still, if your main goal is to try delicious Cuban food in a nice location, this is definitely a great spot.

Response from the owner

Thank you, Irem! We're thrilled to hear that your parents enjoyed their first experience with Cuban food and loved the paella. We appreciate your feedback about the ambiance and hope to welcome you back for another delicious meal soon!

Pisco sour was out of this world super smooth. We got a seat at the bar. Mojito Maracuya was yum, the ropa viejo mofongo was good, and so was the montaditos. The arroz chino was so flavorful. Anyway, super cute spot and amazing service. Highly recommend and will be back

Response from the owner

Thank you for your amazing review, M! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the Pisco Sour, Mojito Maracuya, and all the delicious dishes you tried. We can't wait to welcome you back for another great experience!

Please get a booklet or something for the bill, cause what is this? Also, please add pricing for the coctails cause even thoug I dont care, I dont want to order a mojito by just guessing the price. Other than these, food is amazing, service personnel are always nice and kind. Try edible bowls, looks small but what is inside is hidden gem and portions are decent enough.

Response from the owner

Hi Gülşah! Thank you for your valuable feedback; we truly appreciate it. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the food and found our staff friendly, and we'll certainly consider your suggestions to enhance the dining experience. We hope to see you again soon!

Went in today to pick up a take-out order and decided to have a quick drink while our food was being packed. We were recommended some new cocktails and man, were they delicious! Limpia Del Alma, a super refreshing watermelon based drink featuring gin, that came with a full-on experience. Their traditional old-fashioned (chef's kiss with the bourbon cherry & chilled glass) and finally, we tried La Rumba Cubana, a take on a spicy margarita with fresh herbs and some sort of foam with a black salted rim. I don't typically like margaritas but, hands down, the most scrumptious balance of acid, heat, and salty-sweetness! The ambiance was spectacular & the staff friendly and attentive. Hasan was our bartender today but he was definitely more of a mixologist. He was knowledgeable about spirits and put on a show as he prepared our drinks. To top it all off, the take-out we brought home was phenomenal. If I have one critique, it'd be the tostones were a bit overcooked. Overall, amazing and we'll definitely be back again! Gracias Hasan, eres tremendo mixólogo!

Response from the owner

Hi Jennifer! Thank you for your detailed review and for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the drinks and ambiance, and we'll pass on your kind words to Hasan; he's truly passionate about mixology! We appreciate your feedback about the tostones as well, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Good Cuban food 👍 first time experiencing Cuban food in person - great atmosphere, and lively place 👏. The only challenge was communication with the staff. But that's alright 😊 we managed to communicate and order our food 😀. Beautiful view of skyline from the restaurant ❤️.

We visited Rumba Cubana last night and everything was spectacular! From the service to the quality of the food. Yoilan was the most attentive server! We had some food allergies, and he was spot on with all the recommendations and making sure everything was absolutely perfect. Do not miss the fresh fish ceviche, the chicharones were perfectly crispy, and the ropa vieja was some of the best I’ve had!! (I ordered the vacavieja dish which had a little bit of vaca frita y ropa vieja with plantains, rice & beans).

Added bonus was the elevator at the back, which we needed, and the valet parking.

Great family owned restaurant. Awesome views of Manhattan. Terrific food and top friendly service. I felt the prices were very reasonable considering the food quality and beautiful atmosphere. Visiting my family from Northern California. I will definitely be coming back on my next visit. The paella I had was over the top delicious and so flavourful.

Came for dinner on a very busy Saturday night, make sure to reserve a table. We were seated promptly by the friendly and very efficient staff, atmosphere was raucous but well organized and managed. We started with some tasty and fresh fried calamare and then went full Cuban with the citrus marinated skirt steak and the Cuban seasoned and fried pork pieces served with Cuban moro rice, black beans and an order of fried tostones. Everything was flavorful and tasty and the accompanyments went together perfectly with the main meals. We shared a nice flan for dessert and we can’t wait to return and try more dishes from there extensive Latin and Cuban menu.

Rumba Cubana truly feels like a second home. My family and I have been coming here since they opened their very first restaurant, and every visit reminds us why it’s one of our favorites. The food and drinks are outstanding, the atmosphere is vibrant, and everywhere you look you feel the heartbeat of authentic Cuban culture. The staff is attentive, welcoming, and always makes you feel like family.

This place is an absolute gem—a must-visit if you’re in New Jersey and want to experience the true flavor and spirit of Cuba. My family and I highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Service should get 10+++ stars!!! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this Cuban restaurant definitely deserves it! Everything was just amazing. The food was full of flavor, the drinks were so good (literally omg), and the service was fast and attentive without ever feeling rushed. You can tell they care about quality in every detail. I left already thinking about when I can come back. Highly recommend!

Rumba Cubana quickly became one of our favorite spots during our stay in NJ. My son Caleb and I came here several times, and every visit was just as enjoyable as the last.

The service was excellent, attentive, warm, and fast. The restaurant is spacious, lively, and never left us waiting long, even on a weeknight.

The food was delicious. Caleb loved the Cuban sandwich (his favorite, perfectly pressed and flavorful), while I tried the ropa vieja with rice and the yuca fries, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. And the highlight? The churros: crunchy, warm, and dusted with just the right sweetness, exactly as promised. Paired with a cafecito, it was the perfect way to end the meal.

After dinner, we would walk along Boulevard East, where the NYC skyline lit up the night. One evening, we even spotted a deer and its little Bambi, a moment that made the night unforgettable and reminded us why we love places that give more than just good food, but great memories.

We ate here more times than we’ll admit, and that alone says it all - we’ll definitely be back.

Excellent atmosphere, the view, service, food. Drinks were good too, very generous on alcohol. Skirt steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Cevice, both shrimp and fish were amazing!
