My wife and I were in the city for dinner and a show, on a lark we chose this restaurant and couldn’t be happier about the choice.
We were greeted by an upbeat and pleasant maitre’d and our server Maria Pamela was outstanding.
The food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. I had the cheese burger and fries with a side order of the amazing onion rings, my wife had the sesame crusted tuna over rice and avocado . We enjoyed every bite. Our compliments to the Chef and all the staff of this great restaurant. We are definitely going to be there Again soon.

I've come here for date nights, cocktails with friends, and for private events with large groups and each time the quality and service is incredible. The passion fruit martini is a must have and anything you eat on the menu is going to be delicious.
We spent New Year's Eve here and it was a great experience! The staff was awesome the food was impressive and they walked us out to see the ball drop. Very well worth it.
Rosie O’Grady’s was a great dining experience. Everything from the atmosphere to the food and service was amazing. Our server truly made our dinner a great time. The location is close to Radio City Music Hall and a few blocks from Times Square. Would highly recommend the crab cakes.
Everyone is going to have their opinion about where to go go steak in NYC. We were able to go to Rosie O’Grady’s. It was a solid meal and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. We had the Caesar Salad Appetizer, Petite Filet Mignon, Ribeye, and Kid’s Slider with a side of onion rings. Everything was good. The chocolate molten cake was lacking on the molten but still good. We were coming over from a Broadway show that ended early and they were accommodating to get us in early. We would come back and think you’ll enjoy coming here.
Great place for high-end experience without the super high-end price. Service was excellent - especially our waiter / host/ guy who did it all... had stylish facial hair, a few arm tats, and was just cool (from 3 straight 60yr old guys who wish we were still cool). we had shrimp risotto, fillet, salmon with sides. All were great. My only request would be to have a wine choice at a lower price point, but hey, it's NYC. In sum, no need to go to an overpriced, arrogant steak house - come here.
Happened to be in the Times Square area on a tourist crazy Sunday. Needed a break from all the madness so we stopped in here also hoping to catch some of the Jets football game. Were seated at the bar in front of some great TV screens, only problem was they were showing the Buffalo Bills game, not a big deal for me since I am a Giants fan. As a restaurant in the middle of Manhattan you would think they would know that a New York City team was playing, not that the 99% of the people in the place who were tourists would really care but the bartender was also clueless. My guess is that this being an Irish pub, they had the Premier League on in the morning and left that channel on. This has always been a pet peeve of mine when a bar or restaurant with great TV’s are oblivious to big sporting events that are taking place or when you politely ask the staff about and they don’t know how to do something about it. Oh well, it was a good Bills game anyway, flatbread pizza was hot and passable, salads took forever to come out but were not bad, Guiness on tap was one of the best I ever had this side of Dublin.
While the food was delicious, the service and wait staff was less than warm, creating an uptight atmosphere. It’s a beautiful setting but unfortunately there were a couple steps down a hallway and my girlfriend didn’t see them. The hostess seemed rather distracted, didn’t mention to watch for the steps, my girlfriend tripped down the stairs and twisted her ankle. The hostess seemed rather rude and indignant but she did offer us ice. Things went downhill from there. We sat in the fine dining area, her foot elevated with ice, no one followed up to see if she was ok. The waiter was blah, offered us water but didn’t ask us for any other drinks. He took our orders and that was the last we heard from him until he brought our bills, which we wanted all separate but that was a problem for him too. No one came to check if our food was fine, they missed one of our orders but at that time, we opted to just let it be, as we were a seemingly nuisance. It was a lot of money for poor service and left a bad taste in our mouth…. and now we’ve had the last three days with a friend with a swollen and bruised ankle.
Thanksgiving Dinner here???
Oh yeah it was definitely worth it. The food was great and they had a variety of AF beers, not something many restaurants have. Our server was awesome - with the authentic Irish accent, and we didn't have to wait for a seat. Great experience
Rosie O'Grady is a NY classic. The new location and atmosphere is very upscale but still feels cozy and warm. Service was fabulous. We did not eat, as we were there to have a drink for nostalgia. Highly recommend
Great spot for food & drinks, we had the shrimp cocktail & french onion soup. Bartender Mike is amazing w/ his knowledge of the drinks & food, plus a great personality. A must stop spot
I went to dinner before a show. Nico my waiter was excellent. He was super nice, attentive and made sure the food came out fairly quick. Me and my friend shared calamari as an appetizer and shared two meals as we couldn't decide. We had the filet of sole stuffed with crabmeat and the shrimp & scallop risotto. Both meals were delicious. For dessert we had the homemade cheesecake with strawberries which was excellent. Not sure why this restaurant doesn't have more good reviews. The ambience was also very nice and it wasn't too loud either. Give it a try!
Deceivingly large inside and very nicely appointed. We got there when they just opened so it was very quiet inside. The staff was very nice. I had the filet mignon medium cooked. It was medium in the middle but well done on the ends and a little dry. It also lacked a little bit of seasoning. My guess is they expect you to use the sauce (peppercorn I believe). But for me a perfectly prepared steak needs no sauce. That being said the steak was good and not overpriced like a lot of places. The sweet potato fries were amazing and perfectly prepared. All and all a very nice atmosphere and food for a reasonable price.
A beautiful place. Very good service and nice food. The salmon was cooked medium rare, perfect! The beet salad was delicious. The bar is very loud but the dining room is not. Our reservation was ready on time. No problem. A nice classy place that isn't cheap but it's worth. For example, a glass of prosecco wine is 16.
I really wanted to give 5 stars because I adore the old Rosie O'Grady, but man, talk about a letdown! My expectations were sky-high, but this visit? Huge disappointment. Doubt I'll be back anytime soon.

Let's start with the food. I ordered the chicken with linguini. Either the chicken was flavorless or overwhelmed with herbs, and the seasoning? Completely uneven. And don't get me started on the mountain of spinach on top – turned the whole thing into this weird sour herb-chicken mess. Plus, it was dry as the Sahara. Tried to soldier through but ended up waving the white flag halfway through. The calamari? Eh, passable. You could tell it was thawed-out frozen stuff, but at least it was edible.

Service-wise, our server was alright – tried to keep me happy, which I appreciate.

But management? I seriously question their game plan. My server actually mentioned my food concerns to them, but did they do anything? Nope. Didn't even admit the food wasn't up to snuff. Their approach is just baffling.

Oh, and here's a heads up: if you pay with plastic, expect a sneaky little credit card fee and some tax on that fee. Classy move, right? Seems like this place is all about the old name with none of the quality, just plain corporate greed.
