Rosa Mexicano

We originally planned to come here for my birthday, but we ended up making different plans that day, so we visited about a month later. This restaurant had been on our list for a long time, and honestly, it completely lived up to the hype.<br><br>The table-side guacamole is a must-try. They prepare it fresh right in front of you in a traditional stone bowl, and you can really taste the freshness. The fajitas were amazing — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The tacos were also fresh and very satisfying. And the frozen margaritas were definitely one of the highlights of the night.<br><br>The atmosphere is warm, lively, and beautifully designed. Even though the restaurant is large and busy, the staff still makes you feel personally taken care of, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The presentation, the vibe, and the overall experience were all fantastic.<br><br>If you enjoy Mexican food, this place is absolutely worth visiting. We truly enjoyed our night here and would definitely come back again. 🌮🍹

One of the best mexican places I have tried in the city. Lemme start by mentioning firstly how accommodating they were with our reservation. Were able to add 1 person at the last moment and delay it by a bit as we were running a little late.<br>The guac was the highlight, super fresh, made right in front of you! All the dishes we ordered were amazing as well. Definitely the enchiladas and empanadas are a must try! Looking forward to visiting again soon

Dined here the other and food was really food, as well as the drinks. I ordered the duck tacos and they were so amazing, really juicy and flavorful. Service did lack a bit, so if it’s busy expect a small wait, but other than that everything was really great.

They had good food but I do with the shrimp tacos had more flavor in the sauce. The guac was great. They do change for the sparkling water, so just a heads up!

Had an early evening dinner to celebrate a birthday weekend and choose Rosa Mexicano on 18th. I normally go to Lincoln Square but am I glad I came here. What a beautiful restaurant and need I say the best guacamole on the planet. Dinner was so much fun and I would like to give a shout out to the lovely lady who prepared our guac and especially to our server Modesta. She helped us pick our fabulous Margaritas but more important was she was patient, so friendly and she really knows the menu. I often give reviews to recognize food and service as both go into making for a great experience. Gracias Modesta, we'll be back!

The food was incredible!!! And the tres leches?? WOAH. Sarah E was so sweet and attentive, great service. Oh and let’s not forget about the $5 marg… hell yes.

Though a chain restaurant, it's pretty decent. I can recommend the Shrimp Diablo if you wanna switch it up a bit and get something other than the guac or nachos. Do get the sauce on the side unless you can really handle the spice (this is coming from a person who likes spicy). If I remember correctly, we got the molcajete fajitas (don't remember the name exactly). It was choose 2 proteins for $42. Shareable size depending on the appetite. Came with rice&beans, crema, cheese, corn tortillas and pico. Proteins chosen were chicken and steak which came on a bed of cooked peppers and onions. Of course there were more veggies than protein 🤷 but what can ya do? Complimentary chips and salsa are given to you when seated. Spacious location and good atmosphere. Service was lacking a bit. Not the best. Overall I don't see myself coming back anytime soon

Delicious food though a little pricey. The guac is amazing (kinda salty but that’s how I like it). I got the birria quesatacos which were good but the tortilla was kinda stale. I also got the lemonade which was good. It was my friends birthday and they brought out a sombrero and sang to her and also gave us a dessert on the house and we picked tres leches cake. Overall great place for a birthday we had 9 people. Food is pretty good.

Went on a Monday afternoon - heard rumors of Margarita Monday and the rumors were true. Tried all four of the $5 margs they had and they were all super good. Outstanding value. The frozen one (viva Mexico) was probably the best. Also got the nachos from the fiesta hour menu which were very good (although didn’t look like conventional nachos at first glance, but still delicious). Highly recommend coming here on a Monday

Overall great! This place is big enough to hold a large party (my office is near by). The food here is delicious, the Tacos are pretty juicy and savory (I have a fish taco unfortunately I cannot recall the name). The flautas where crunchy and side of rice fluffy. I definitely would come back here, especially if I ever host a work event.

We stopped into Rosa Mexicano for a quick snack and loved it. They brought complimentary chips and salsa which were fresh and tasty, and we ordered the queso that was absolutely delicious rich, creamy and with a really nice chipotle aroma. We also had the three layer frozen margaritas which were honestly some of the best margaritas I have ever had. The atmosphere is cool, the vibe is relaxed and the service was super friendly. We will definitely come back for a proper meal next time.

Today we tried out Rosa Mexicano and we were not disappointed. Jose Luis expertly lead us through the menu choices and gave us excellent recommendations. The food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. But it was the service that put this place on the map for us. We will be back and we will be asking for Jose Luis

Fantastic dinner at Rosa Mexicano in Union Square! The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. The highlight of the evening was definitely the tableside guacamole service. It's so fun to watch them prepare it fresh right in front of you, and it tastes incredible. A perfect way to start the meal. Highly recommend it!

Nice place but bad food…nachos without taste… meat chewy.. also the mashed potatoes in cheese were so hard(the cheese) was impossible to cut it. Guacamole was good though. Churros terrible…super oily.

Dropped by after work on a Thursday night and thankfully there’s lots of seating available as most other spots were full. The atmosphere was fun and surprisingly not too loud that I couldn’t hear my friend.<br><br>The menu is fairly big but the main options are tacos or enchiladas with a few signature dishes. We ended up sharing fajitas and some appetizers. Food was good but I did feel the signature guacamole was a tad bit bland. Also had the tres leche for dessert and it came a bit dry. They graciously gave us more of the milk when we asked which helped it a lot.<br><br>Service was good and staff was helpful. A good spot if you’re craving Mexican food.
