Rocca Cafe & Lounge

First time with my husband. The atmosphere was pretty wonderful, the view of the water was great. We ordered mixed grill, with falafel, and side of fries with a couple of cocktails. Falafels were great, a bit too small for my liking, but good. Made me hopeful that the entree was gonna b good. Unfortunately, it was subpar. The meat was on the room temp/colder side. Lamb chops and kofte kebab were decent, the chicken?…. Dry as hell and my husband pointed out that the flavor/seasoning was lacking. The salad that came along wirh it? Pretty great, although let’s be real, it was a basic salad. The rice? Meh. The fries? Pretty damn good lol. The cocktails? horrible. Felt like whoever was making them didn’t know what they were doing. Lol so it def was a mixed review night. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is for the ambiance and the potential the spot has to being a prime place for a night out. The food and drinks were truly not worth the price. Anyone who grew up eating at Sahara (only the real ones know) would probably agree with me lol I would love to come back and find that the grill options and cocktails are improved

Good food and good atmosphere! Brunch with a view by the water was great. Service was good even for Mother’s Day Brunch celebrated the day before. The Turkish breakfast was a lot of delicious food!

We had the most amazing dinner experience at Rocca Cafe Lounge! The ambience was spectacular and the service was impeccable.Okan, Samet and Muhammad were wonderful and the manager Mustafa was so nice and accommodating. The food was so fresh and authentic. Magnificent overall experience and cannot wait to come back!

Some of the best Mediterranean food around! The vibe of the restaurant is cozy but spacious and it has something for everyone. A bonus is their live DJ/ musician! Would highly recommend.

Used to come to this place for breakfast but I got to try their dinner for the first time. I ordered the Adana and it was delicious. Rice needs work, next time I’ll sub that for french fries cuz we ordered it on the side and it was delicious. Rice pudding was on point.

The restaurant itself is very good — the food was excellent and the service was friendly and professional. No complaints there.<br><br>However, I was very disappointed to see an 18% “Service Fee” added to the bill. While the fee itself was visible, the explanatory note in small print below stated that this charge is used to cover administrative costs and should not be considered a tip for the server.<br><br>In New York State, fees like this are generally expected to be clearly disclosed before ordering, not explained only later in fine print on the bill. Discovering that an 18% charge is not a gratuity but an internal administrative fee feels misleading and unfair to customers.<br><br>Again, the restaurant, food, and staff were great, but adding a nearly 20% charge that does not go to the server and is explained only in fine print feels like pure nickel-and-diming. What’s next — a hidden fee for cleaning the floor or taking out the trash?<br><br>Restaurants should be transparent about pricing and let customers decide how much they want to tip their server.

This is our 1st time here. The food is tasty. Appetizers are awesome.<br>Service at the beginning was super (the older guy was very attentive and caring), then we were forgotten and had to wait until the guy (I guess his name Tagit) would finally see us and come.<br>Atmosphere is warm and pleasant but little too loud (for me)

Excellent place with great food & vibes. They serve upscale Mediterranean food. The atmosphere is amazing. Music, food and service — it was an experience. Situated in a nice neighborhood in Brooklyn by the river.

This was my first visit to Rocca. We drove here from North Brooklyn and had a Turkish breakfast: kaskaval toast, lentil soup, Rocca salad, sucuk omelet, and lots of tea. Everything was delicious, and we were provided with unlimited bread and tea.<br><br>Eder made our visit exceptional. He was punctual, kind, and extremely attentive, always sensing our needs. We never had to look for him, and the other members of the service team were also great.<br><br>The only downside was that we wanted a window seat but were told the tables were reserved :/<br><br>Overall, we were very happy with the food and service, and we’ll definitely be back. I’ve been to Rocca multiple times, and I want to start by saying their breakfast is incredible. The food is great, the servers are quick, and overall the morning experience is always on point.<br>Unfortunately, my dinner experience was the complete opposite, and it was especially disappointing because it was my birthday. I ordered a small cake with a birthday song. The song played, but no one came out, and the cake arrived with no candle. About 10 minutes later, they brought out a different cake with a candle, but it wasn’t the one I had ordered.<br>We also ordered kunefe, a Turkish dessert, and were told it would take about 10 minutes, but it took closer to 25 minutes. During that time, we could see a few pieces already sitting by the window, so it was unclear if they were just warming them up or if there was a delay in communication. On top of that, the waiter rarely checked in—we constantly had to call him over if we needed anything.<br>Another issue was the seating by the water. It was extremely cold, to the point where almost everyone was eating with their jackets on, while the inside dining area was warm. That’s something that definitely needs attention.<br>Overall, I still think Rocca has a lot of potential, and I highly recommend going in the spring or summer when the atmosphere can really be enjoyed—once these issues are addressed. I just wish my birthday dinner had matched the great experiences I’ve had here before.

Window seat is nice when weather is good. Decided to try the sushi and we were very very impressed. Didn’t think a Turkish restaurant would get this right but they did. Amazing. Hazelnut ice cream was one of the best ice cream I had in a long time. Sheesha - hookah was good. Vibe is fun. Had a pleasant time. The bill had a service fee on it with a notation that this is not tip. That’s crazy. They charge 15% fee which is like a tip and then you have to tip on top of that? Took off one star for that.

Authentic Turkish food with good service and great atmosphere!<br>Good for a romantic dinner or a brunch with friends or a family event or a celebratory occasion!<br>Been here a number of times over the years. Most recently was for my niece's high school graduation dinner with family. The food was delicious- huge portions, definitely for sharing. The servers were attentive but not lurking. The view of the Bay was peaceful and beautiful. And we got them to bring out dessert for my niece to congratulate her and they had the perfect song all ready to go (Post Malone's Congratulations)!

Everything from reservation to dining were great experiences. Staff were courteous and pleasant. The food was delicious, the prices are very good for the amount and quality of the food. We went as a party of 5 and all were very happy about the food and the ambiance. Beautiful views of the bay. Will definitely go again!
