River View Diner

Never see much activity in the evening so I was always reluctant to eat here. I it's 9:30pm not much activity, but i decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Food is exceptional. Service was great. Unlike other diners in the area the Riverview Diner is light and Airy. Highly recommend eating here

I visited this diner for breakfast this morning and had a very good omelette. The food was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my visit.<br><br>However, as I was leaving, I noticed a display of U.S. Presidents’ photos. Most of the photos were neatly displayed, including President Trump and other presidents, but President Obama’s photo appeared noticeably different and was not displayed in the same manner as the others. Whether intentional or not, the presentation stood out to me and left me feeling uncomfortable.<br><br>I believe businesses should strive to present historical and political figures consistently and respectfully. Unfortunately, this observation detracted from an otherwise positive dining experience. While I appreciated the food and service, I do not plan to return.

Had an absolutely wonderful breakfast with six others guys to kick off my buddy’s wedding day. Waitstaff were very friendly and treated us and the groom with some excellent service and tasty food! Kelly in particular was great, and an avid Green Bay Packers fan (Go Pack Go!) to boot. Would definitely recommend!

Went there for Mother's Day and lucky they accepted a reservation as it was standing room only. There were no specials, just regular menu. Food was plentiful and good (minus the white toast), service was good. The real big negative was the mimosas what other places call orange juice. When brought to their attention, all they did was add seltzer. Ran out of prosecco?

We’re visiting from Florida on a trip to NYC and were on the hunt for a good, traditional American breakfast. We quickly realized that many places in the city are small cafés with little to no seating, long waits, and not very kid-friendly. My kids just wanted a simple egg or pancake breakfast—nothing fancy!<br><br>This place came up as highly recommended, and from the moment I walked through the doors, I knew why. It felt like walking into my family’s diner—warm, welcoming, and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we were seated right away, which felt amazing after all the waiting and hustle and bustle of NYC. Sitting down immediately and getting food quickly was such a relief.<br><br>The service was fast and prompt, and the food was absolutely delicious. There’s a great menu selection, everything came out quickly, and my kids loved it—so did my husband and I! And the chocolate-covered strawberries… 😮‍💨 SO good.<br><br>I wish I could come here all the time, but the next time I visit Jersey, this will definitely be a stop for us

Very nice modern but cosy place, vibrant and the food was good. I went there for a breakfast/ brunch. Good size portions, plenty of choices. I would definitely go back.

Enjoyed my time here. Very attentive and helpful staff. The food came out quickly and was great. Would definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area again.

I had breakfast at this family-owned diner with my best friend, Big Joe, and it was exactly what we needed—fast, filling, and tasty.<br><br>I ordered grits, eggs, toast, and sausage, and everything was cooked just right. The portions were satisfying, and the unlimited refills on hot coffee were definitely appreciated.<br><br>What really stood out was the family atmosphere—welcoming, comfortable, and the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy a good meal and great conversation. Solid breakfast spot with good food and good energy. I’d definitely return.

Amazing place for an authentic diner experience. No tourists here only locals enjoying their meals. The food is delicious, the portions are generous (get a box ready because you probably won’t finish!), and the value for money is excellent. The staff are also incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it!

Super fun and friendly staff. The menu is GIANT. It was a fun experience and the wait staff told me they’d been open for over 40 years!

I stopped here to get some lunch with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. The place was not too busy. They have a good portion size and the service was good. I got the cuban panini which was nice. My friend got the Irish coffee with the chicken croissant sandwich. The sandwich came with a side of zucchini fries. Overall a nice place with parking available.

Took our young grandsons. 1 of them dropped and broke his water glass. Staff was helpful and patient!<br>Update: 1 more trip while in NJ to this awesome place. Food a ND staff are great. Meatloaf and egg salad sandwiches with French onion soup (my favorite). Got pics this time.

All around good experience!!<br>We traveled to New Jersey and decided to stop for lunch. Hostess was very polite and friendly, waiters were prompt & accessible and you would see them before you attempt to get their attention. Food also was of good quality. And most importantly, before exiting I used the bathroom, and that’s were you know that they’re all good, It was sparkling clean! and a pleasant surprise. I meet the owner on my way out, very friendly and polite. Stop by and try for yourself, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

Talk about authentic diner energy! Love this family owned spot, the food was affordable and delish. The service was spectacular, it felt like our server just knew what we needed before we had the opportunity to ask. From the Mrs. Butterworths to the bottle of Kens blue cheese, I really felt right at home.
