Had lunch here and Rezdora lived up to the hype. The service is what you’d expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, friendly, smooth and effortless. Really enjoyed everything we tried, the white ragu is my one of my favorite pasta dishes in the city. The gnocco fritto is a must and the Stracciatella is so decadent. Don’t pass on dessert, their olive oil cake is one of the best. Loved Rezdora, plan to return for dinner service and experience more of their magic.

For walk-in guests arriving at opening time: be careful about line-cutting

I think there is a flaw in the walk-in check-in system, especially during the 5 PM opening when walk-in and reservation guests are processed at the same time.

There are actually two check-ins: first, an informal check-in with a staff member outside the restaurant before entering, and then a formal check-in inside. The problem occurs during the first step. Before opening, guests arrive from both directions of the street and gather around the entrance, making it unclear who arrived first and who should have priority. This may not matter for reservation holders, but for walk-in guests competing for a very limited number of seats, the order is extremely important.

Last Saturday evening, a man appeared to take advantage of this situation and check in ahead of several walk-in parties, including ours. Since it was our first time doing a walk-in here, we did not realize what was happening. He clearly knew we were walk-in guests because we had asked a staff member about the process while waiting for the complimentary wine. The group standing next to us had also arrived before him.

While staff were checking guests in, he casually approached a staff member and checked in before several parties that had been waiting longer. He ultimately received what appeared to be one of the last available walk-in seats. When we checked in immediately afterward and explained that we had arrived before him, the staff member apologized, but there was nothing they could do. Not only us, but several other walk-in guests who had arrived earlier were placed on the waitlist.

From conversations we overheard while waiting, we knew he was a walk-in guest and had done the walk-in process before. At one point, he was counting how many people were waiting and commented that there were around 12-13 people ahead. When the complimentary wine was offered, he even joked that it was one of the reasons he came. Looking back, I suspect he understood exactly how the system worked and knew when to move forward.

To be clear, we had no problem waiting. We came prepared for that and were happy to do so. What was frustrating was being cut off right in front of us because of a system that relies entirely on guests policing themselves.

We eventually received a text that seats had become available and returned for dinner. Ironically, we were seated right next to them at the bar, and they were still enjoying their meal and drinks. They certainly did not appear to be in any particular rush.

Other than this experience, the food and service were excellent as always. I understand that reservation guests are the priority, but when a self-managed check-in process allows inconsiderate guests to take advantage of the system, the restaurant should take some responsibility and improve the process. If guests are expected to manage the line themselves, some walk-in customers will inevitably be disadvantaged by people willing to bend the rules.

A clearer and more organized walk-in system would make the experience fairer for everyone.

That said, I would like to thank the staff member who checked on us after we returned from the waitlist, and the bartender who recommended an excellent wine pairing for the final pasta tasting course. Both were wonderful and helped end the evening on a positive note.
Very nice atmosphere. Well decorated. The pastas were good, but not like WOW I NEED THIS. I thought one was a bit undercooked?? I thought the gnocco fritto weren’t that good??

I would say I was a bit underwhelmed.

Olive oil cake is pretty good
Outstanding service, food, and ambiance!

We casually walked in on a Friday night without expectation to be seated but the hostess was beyond accommodating and we lucked out with a prime table outside. She is probably the best front face a restaurant could ask for - polite, funny, happy to be there!

The food was great and we loved the opening complimentary bite-style appetizer.

We were seated outside and the light jazz music was complimenting the ambiance so well!

To end this already lovely experience, another staff member got us as we were walking out bringing us their complimentary house-made chocolates!

I cannot recommend this place any further!
From start to finish, our dining experience at Rezdôra was absolutely exceptional. The homemade pasta was incredibly delicious and cooked to absolute perfection. They also have a massive wine list and plenty of great options to accommodate all kinds of dietary choices and preferences, which was wonderful to see.

The hospitality really took the night to the next level. Jack and Nick provided outstanding service, and the manager, Katie, was incredibly delightful, inviting, and made us feel so welcome. To top it all off, they serve hands-down the best tiramisu I have ever had. We will definitely be back!
That was unlike any other Italian restaurant I've been to in the city, definitely a unique experience and one I would highly recommend. The food is highly localized to Emilia-Romagna so most of their dishes aren't served anywhere else in the city. Besides just being unique the food is phenomenal as well. Pasta was cooked al dente and felt very similar to the pasta in Italy, not like the softer pasta you'll normally find in NYC. The famous Grandma Walking Through a Forest is a must try, a flavor bomb like I've never experienced before. Very rich though so between two people I'd recommend just one order. All in all a very worthwhile time.
The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service really stands out. Super friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. She took the time to walk us through the entire menu, explained each dish, and gave great recommendations. The gnocchi is a must-have.

It’s a bit on the pricier side, but very much in line with New York standards - and worth it for the experience.
We celebrated our anniversary dinner here and had such a wonderful time. From the moment we walked in, the service was top tier — we were greeted with a card signed by all the staff wishing us a happy anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our glasses were always full, and every member of the team was attentive and genuinely kind throughout the evening. The standouts were the burrata reale and the tiramisu — both absolutely insane in the best way. The whole experience was so much fun and incredibly delicious. We are so grateful to the team at Rezdôra for making our anniversary so special. Highly recommend for any celebration.
Very inventive pasta and great steak! Don’t get the seasonal greens; it’s not fresh, just what’s left in the back of their fridge (terribly bitter, we asked what was up with it and they said it wasn’t supposed to be like that and thanked us for the feedback).

Service and atmosphere was great! The food misses (see other reviews) should dismiss its Michelin star.
One of the worst experiences I've ever had in NY. I was expecting so much more that it really disapointed me. Servers were not paying attention at all. The appetizer came really quick (and was good), but the main courses took 45 minutes (30 after the appetizer). The pasta was al dente, BUT, the anolini dough was to thick, and raw on the edges. The filling tasty, but not enough, same with the sauce. I even had to ask for salt because the dish was tasteless. Pasta cooked without any salt also. The Waiter was refusing to grate cheese, even though asking twice. The lobster pasta had 5 tiny pieces of lobster and it was gummy. Sauces not emulsified with the pasta. On top of it all, I had to ask 2 times how long would it take for the main dishes. And it took 45 min to get these, which is not a great pasta. The music was really loud and had nothing to do with the ambience. After asking for the check, I told the waiter I was really surprised that nobody even asked how the food was, and he simple replied "tap your card here". Really rude. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend, and I'm really sad we had this expierence because I was really looking forward to try this restaurant.
Rezdora was an experience and I would strongly recommend it. The standout was definitely the Nonna Walking Through the Forest, 100 percent recommend. The desserts were incredible and absolutely worth ordering. The service was also incredible and very welcoming. I do not often comment on service, but it felt like everyone at the restaurant was on the same team and moving together. The endive salad was very good as well.

Now a few things to avoid. The mushroom pasta was maybe one of the worst things I have ever put in my mouth. It was horrendous, just one black clump of noodles stuck together. Do not order this. The Gramigna Giallo e Verde was quite good, but the portion was weak, and I wish there had been a little more, especially with that yummy sausage in it. Finally, the toasted bread was very weak, an excuse for garlic bread. Bread with just some olive oil is honestly a ripoff and could have been better presented. The Gnocco Fritto with prosciutto di Parma, mortadella, and guanciale was honestly just salty and lacked flavor. It felt incomplete.
My husband scored us a reservation to Rezdôra as a Christmas present so that we could finally experience our first Michelin star restaurant, and what a place to start at! First, I really appreciated that we could enjoy a fine dining experience without it feeling pretentious. The vibe was relaxed, and our server was so friendly. He helped answer any questions we had, and we definitely didn’t leave hungry. We stated with a Parmesan tasting, then went into the pasta tasting, which was timed well between courses. Though they were smaller portions, we were happy to experience a variety of their offerings, especially with it being our first time! We split a steak entree as well, which was cooked perfectly. We were glad to have the extra protein to feel fully satisfied. We split the tiramisu for dessert, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! Truly a memorable meal and a treat for date night in the city. We would definitely make another trip from CT to experience Rezdôra again!
Rezdora is wonderful, and I’d absolutely recommend it for an elevated Italian dining experience.

The space itself is charming and intimate, with roughly 15 tables, and things like coat and bag check are always a bonus in my book.

As for the food, there wasn’t a single dish I wouldn’t recommend. Everything ranged from good to excellent. The spaghetti allo scoglio and gramigna giallo e verde were the clear standouts. The rest of the menu was solid and well-executed, though not really groundbreaking. I have minor nitpicks about certain dishes but that’s about it.

So, does it deserve its Michelin star worth setting an alarm to snag a reservation? Debatable… but it’s undeniably a great meal.
My lover & I dined here for my birthday December 7th and what a find this was!! We had the most delicious, perfectly portioned tasting course with delicious wine pairings. Our bartender/server was wonderful as were all staff. Every bite was more delicious than the next and I am still dreaming of the olive oil cake! Omgosh and the bread!! Everything was heavenly. Thank you for making my 54th fabulous!
the place is pretty and well decorated! loved the vibes!

for the food, i enjoyed the appetizer is really a good start! their pasta is also good but its quite small but its ok:)
but unfortunately i don’t really enjoy the entree because it’s come out 20+ minutes after our pastas even we asked for it to be served right away after the pasta but sadly the waiter said that can’t and we need to wait. and again sadly my steak comes not warm and so do the fish, we a little bit hurry and hungry so we just eat it and still enjoy it, but will be more nicer if it’s warm/hot and shorter wait time:)

however is still a nice restaurant if you will spend an hour total for your meal. 7/10!^^
