About Pollos a la Brasa Mario

Pollos a la Brasa Mario rotisserie-chars every bird over open flame until the skin cracks golden, then rests it before carving—a technique most Jackson Heights spots skip.

Food was good, After 30 minutes of ordering and eatting or food three different servers came back to back questions if we were ready to go full on glare we couldn’t even peacefully eat with them coming every two seconds, restaurant is supposed to be light and be able to talk not getting rushed out as soon as possible….

I genuinely dream about this food at least once a week. Every time we go, it never disappoints. Great value for money, a cozy atmosphere, flavorful food, and kind service. I already can’t wait to go back! One of my favourite restaurants in Queens.

12/17/25. I had a great experience at Pollo a la Brasa on Junction Blvd in Jackson Heights. The place was clean, beautifully decorated, and ready for Feliz Navidad .
I ordered the avocado salad, tostones, and a whole rotisserie chicken, and everything was delicious. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, the salad was fresh, and the tostones were crispy.
The lady at the front was very kind, and the cook did an amazing job. Great food, friendly service, and a festive atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Food: it's a hit or miss with steak, sometimes even after asking for medium rare, it will be a bit overcooked but it's okay, it's still good.
Service: waiters/servers always around to refill water
Atmosphere: it's cozy and comfortable place to eat.

Pollos a la Brasa Mario is a good Colombian restaurant in Queens! I liked the warm and vibrant decor that perfectly set the tone for an authentic dining experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The music added a lively touch, enhancing the overall ambiance. Loved the chicken I got. Wish I got the plantain soup too but it was not soup of the day. I recommend this spot for a memorable meal and a taste of Colombia right here in Queens!

I recently tried the Arroz Camarones here. The quality was good, and the taste was decent. It came with French fries and a salad on the side, but those didn’t have much flavor for me. The meal cost $30, which felt a bit high for what I received overall.

I know this place for long time, first time I went there back in 2014 and it I wasn't happy with service but recently this year I went to eat at this place over 3 times and everything was great. The person I had an issue with is gone. My favorite dish is chicken and rice. Steak is also good, soup is delicious, but pork belly isn't that great, too sticky and hard. Food came fast and even super busy like 4th of July they still opened and handled things good.

This is a Colombian food restaurant. The food is very good, specially the seafood soup. That comes to be casuela de Maricos. The prices is not too bad. My concern is the way that this location looks in terms of cleanest. I think that they are more concerned about making money that keeping the place in shape. Everything looked a little old and dirty. Specially the ceiling. Floor needs more attention. The employees are great and very polite. The food comes out very fast.

This restaurant was amazing. We dined on the second floor. The atmosphere was beautiful. It felt rustic yet elegant. The service was great. The waiters were very polite. We got filled fish with a mix of other seafood. It was very delicious. Would recommend. For dessert, it's the best flan I've had in a long time.
Great spot for a date night or family night.

There's always room for improvement. So I gave it a 4 star. The accessible seat is too close to the takeout line. The wait time was average. The store was extremely crowded. Someone with a child in the stroller didn't consider their child and the people eating. They had the child in the stroller at the accessible table while a family was eating. None of the staff said anything. The doors aren't automatic, so it's not really accessible. There are 2 double doors for entry and exit. The meat was well done and flavorful. The avocado salad was enough for 2 and fresh tasting. I didn't notice any overhead music. Just chatter from the customers. The price is average. Prices have increased everywhere since covid 19. The wait staff are nice and patient. I will return.

Colombian restaurant on Roosevelt Ave. it’s two floors restaurant seems always to be busy I was guessing that food must be very good. It was a lot of staff that was just hanging out and chatting together in the corner. Not really friendly just careless. I got seafood chowder with salad and rice and beans. As you see in the picture there was barely any beans. When I finish I was waiting for my check at least 15 min when server was hanging out by bar . When I get check it was changed different then was on menu from $32.95 to $33.70 without letting me know. I guess they changed whatever they feel like it. So when you there make sure you check who much you get charged. They will try to charge more than they supposed to.
