Very nice atmosphere, cozy and quiet, very spacious for a NYC restaurant. The food was good. Order the "chicha" it is a corn drink, very delicious and if you want to eat like a native order the "anticuchos", no saying what it is, but tasty. Desert a local fruit desert. Being a native New Yorker, I will overall give it a 4 stars. Dont eat the chicken, a bit dry.

I think this maybe my new favorite Peruvian food north of the equator. Tonight's drink The Chilcano. Dinner is Avocado salad and 1/2 Juanita's Chicken dark meat. The chicken fell off the bones.
This establishment should first and foremost thank the @cvi.che.105 restaurant I visited in Miami. Their excellent service encouraged me to step inside this restaurant, which was also a Peruvian restaurant.
The waiter and bartender, Louis, was truly attentive and polite. He guided me in making my choice. The dish he recommended was delicious. I chose a seafood platter. The dish is called “Corvina a lo Macho.” It’s served with rice and a spicy green sauce. One of the ingredients in the dish was, I think, undercooked—it was tough and rubbery to chew. There was probably some cream in the dish. I think it would have turned out better with less cream. Still, I can tell this dish, which I am trying for the first time, is something special.
There’s a bar at the entrance. That’s where I chose my meal. I assume there’s live music downstairs; it would be enjoyable for lively, cheerful groups.
My family, friends and i decided to see an off Broadway play and afterwards we were all hungry and we all agree to go to this. We were escorted down these steps into a large room. They were accommodating since we were a large group with no reservation. Everyone enjoyed their food.
10 of us went to PioPio 8 on Valentine’s Day before we attended a concert at Madison Square Garden. First we were running late due to traffic, we had to postpone the reservation to 6:30. We got there around 6:45 due to parking issues and the staff welcomed us graciously. Not only they expedited our orders because we were running late but they were very patient and professional!
Now the food was a surprise, huge portion and delicious. Every single dish was tasty. We had the sea bass, the shrimp in some creamy sauce, the steak and the chicken; not a single complaint. Everyone of us was happy with the service, the food and the price. We are planning to go back and cannot wait this time. Thank you for a job well done! Kudos to the staff!
Great atmosphere, with a split level bar/restaurant.
Food was great. Had the chicken empanadas to start (massive!)
For dinner, had the Tacu Tacu and my compadre had the Lomo Saltado. Both delicious and tasty dishes.
Drinks were also good. Had the Gin Mule, and a spicy tequila drink (can't remember the name). Both made with class.
Highly recommend this spot to small or medium sized groups.
#HiddenGem
Love love loveeeee this place! Had a great experience tonight 🥰 food was delicious as usual. I’ve had their food for the past 10+ years but first time trying this location and it was great. We got the calamari, limeneo cebiche for starters and for entrees the Lomo soltado is a must. We also got the corvina a lo macho. The sauce was AMAZING for the seafood. 🍤 great for date night, amazing vibes. If you go in bigger group the seating is even better because of the booth/tables.
The food at Pio Pio was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Service was attentive and friendly, making the overall experience even better. Definitely a great spot and highly recommended.
Came here for lunch twice this week while working nearby. Weekdays around lunchtime (noon to 4) they have a special that's a quarter rotisserie chicken with side and a drink for $15. A great bargain for delicious food! 2nd day was a Saturday, still spent around $30 per person which was reasonable for the portion sizes and how delicious the food was. Service was fast and courteous, everyone was nice. Manager checked in on how we were enjoying our meal. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!
Hearty portions and a large and nice restaurant makes for a really solid dining experience in the area.

The two of us shared the chicken empanadas, half a rotisserie chicken and the arroz chaufa with shrimp. By the way, let me get out of the way that the green sauce is so delectable that I could have eaten it by the spoonful.

The empanadas were ok. I've had much better in NYC and I would probably pass on these next time. The chicken was DELICIOUS. They are rightly known for this and I think it's a must get. The arroz chaufa was solid - flavorful and plentiful. It came in what felt like a bucket and is clearly a sharing portion.

We also had chicha moradas. I love chicha morada and have had it in several restaurants in NYC. This version is a little watered down, but still good.

Service was fine - efficient, but not very friendly. Nothing negative, just not anything special.
The experience at PioPio was immaculate. The customer service was top tier. While walking to my table, there were men standing up looking around waiting to help anyone and everyone who needed assistance. The friendliness of this place is top tier. The food is to die for. Flavorful beyond and was cooked in such a great time as it was only about 15 minutes until we got our meal. I would recommend anyone in NY or that is visiting, to come on by; your tummies are waiting to be satisfied ☺️
It was a great dining experience. The food was delicious. We had appetizers and two family-style combos that were more than enough for a big group of eight. The atmosphere was nice, but our server seemed a little inexperienced.
Let me tell you something, there is not a better Peruvian Restaurant in New York than Pio Pio, They’ve got multiple locations, but my favorite is the one with the City Vibes.
We ordered different options you’ll see it all in my pics, food is so good and the homemade green and garlic sauce are fire 🔥
I always order the red wine sangria, we got the pitcher (3 glasses each). I believe the Chaufa rice and the small Jalea are perfect for two people and I still ended up with a bunch of leftovers to take home. Portions are super generous!
The service? Super nice. They were on top of everything, and the food came out fast and fresh.

Thanks for watch my review and please don’t forget to follow my page for more!
With numerous other locations and named of sound chicks make, this chain serves rotisserie chicken and other Peruvian dishes. The meal was very carb heavy, and a bit muted flavors other than desserts. Was not a big fan of the sausage and fries, the chicken was a bit dry but tasty.

This location is beautifully decorated and architecturally designed with the double height dining room, though our large party remained on the ground floor near the entrance.
We went there on a weekday night, and we didn’t need to make a reservation or wait in line. The atmosphere was pleasant. The portions of the food were huge and tasty; we loved it. However, the main dish was a little over-seasoned. We ordered the fish with fried rice and half a chicken
