I was a loyal customer of this place until they tried to scam me with my latest delivery order and NO MORE! I always ordered whole chicken dark meat and paid the extra $4 so total it was $33 for whole chicken dark meat. They usually send me 5 pieces this way. Now they only gave me 4 pieces i called the restaurant to complain and spoke to the manager who had absolutely no customer service experience and zero simple math skills. They didn't want to accept there was a mistake with my order. I was totally overcharged. I could have order 4 orders of 1/4 dark chicken and would have come out to be less money for what I paid. Why are you overcharging $4 extra for ? It's sickening how they are running the business here. scamming people where they could have easily charge me the same as 4 orders of 1/4 chicken. Why are you overcharging customers and sending less? Do the freaking MATH! I'll be reporting this restaurant.

We recently had a family gathering of 14 at pio pio 6, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch—our servers was attentive, kind, and made us feel so welcome. Every dish we ordered was delicious, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It was a fantastic evening, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Great lunch special for ~$15 But the hidden banger was the soup of the day. For $8 a hearty lentil chicken soup. Omg! I’ll be thinking about this soup for a while… The lunch special chicken was juicy and flavorful and absolutely bangin’ with the Aji Verde. Rice and beans were solid loved the tenderness of the beans themselves. Not the biggest fan of the dressing on the side salad but they are generous with the avocado. Would love to try some of their other dishes.

Ceviche is very fresh. Sea food rice is probably one of the best of those I ever tried. The sauce is fabulously good. Portion is gorgeous as well!

Miss the taste from 10 years ago. Used to order almost every wknd. The food used to be so, so good! Haven't had in years & disappointed to say the least. The rice & beans were not good at all, beans are pure tomato paste & the rice was too soft almost mushy. The chicken was good but the best most consistent thing is the green sauce. Sadly won't be ordering again.

I went to Pio Pio at this location and Murray hill many times and the quality is consistent. They have a great lunch special. 1/4 chicken, 2 sides plus salad and drink. The chicken was juicy, the salad fresh and crispy. The portions were good. Worth a visit for a solid Peruvian meal.

Excellent food and service!! Delicious Peruvian cuisine; we ordered the matador combo which included the juiciest chicken and the jalea was also great. our waiter was attentive and the service was fairly quick. Family friendly as well and the music was a normal volume allowing for dinner conversation.

It's been years since I have stop by Pio Pio and in the last three months I had the pleasure to dine here twice.

Happy to say both times were just how I remembered. Quick seating and fast service with really good food. I went with my go-to...

Empanadas de Pollo: stuffed with shredded juanita's chicken. Always tasty but if I'm honest I can definitely do without the whole olives. Not a fan.

Arroz Chaufa: Peruvian style fried rice mixed with chicken, bean sprouts, scallions, & soy sauce. With added shrimp for an additional cost.

This dish always hits the spot especially with a heavy drizzle of the green sauce and washed down by a good passion fruit margarita. The portion size is also great and always provides for a tasty lunch the next day.

Just A Note:

Great for a group or a table for two.

Everything about this place was perfect. They opened promptly at 11am, just in time for my lunch break. Server was attentive, food was flavorful. I got the Seafood rice and my aunt got the Salmon del Pio. The calamari was great. The sauce had great flavor.

The Sangrias were perfect! I love the drinks. Will return and I recommend to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Pío 6, and I can honestly say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious— dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can really tell that the ingredients are fresh and that a lot of care goes into every meal.

What truly sets El Pío 6 apart, though, is the incredible staff. ( Special thanks to Chef Luis..all his kitchen staff— the servers… bartender and last but not least cashier lady). Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our visit, and their recommendations were spot on. It’s clear that they are passionate about what they do, and it made dining experience even more special.

If you’re looking for a place with amazing food and exceptional service, I highly recommend El Pío 6. I can’t wait to come back!

Loved this Peruvian place. They have all the classic dishes. Everything we had was great - chicken empanadas, lomo saltado and chaufa. We walked in on a Friday evening and were able to get a table without waiting, and service was pretty efficient.

The restaurant was impressive, with a welcoming environment, delicious food and quick service. The chicken was especially flavorful and even the salad - a dish I usually don’t enjoy at restaurants - was fresh and tasty. The maduros side was also excellent and the prices were very reasonable, making the meal well worth it. I’m already looking forward to returning! I couldn’t also forget to mention how delicious those hand cut French fries were….

The sangria was good, we got the half pitcher and it was enough for 3 glasses (as seen in the picture). For starters, we had the calamari (8 out of 10), I had the Salmon del Pio, which was a 9 out of 10 for me, and my wife had the seafood combination ( 9 out of 10). All the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and responsive, and the environment was clean and appealing. I would recommend to anyone that does not mind the bit above average pricing.

I was so happy to see Pio Pio survive the pandemic. This place is amazing. You must order the Matador Combo. Just look at the pictures to see everything you get. This fed three of us and was amazing. The chicken was tender. The sausage and fries were a great combination. Just amazing for the price point. Also, the sangria is great to share, though the price between a full pitcher and a half pitcher doesn’t add up (it’s cheaper to buy two halves than one full?)

A must try if you find yourself near a Pio Pio. Service was great as well.
