My husband and I accidentally found Piccola Cubans after visiting the Acquavella Galleries for Henri Matisse and Di Donna Gallery for Salvador Dali exhibitions. WOW WOW WOW we definitely found our gem of place to eat. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner but food and the next table company made our dining experience out of this world. The Carpaccio di Manzo just melted in my mouth. My husband had delicious Costine di manzo brasate con purè di patate e gremotala di pomodori secchi. We ended our meal with made by the table tiramisu which is experience itself. Our services and meals were totally outstanding. We will definitely come back with our friends and families.

I cannot say enough about Piccola Cucina Uptown this place is a gem and easily one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. My husband and I had the most incredible lunch here, and I am still thinking about it!
The food was absolutely unreal. My husband ordered the lasagna, and it was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor exactly what you want from a classic Italian dish done right. I had a pasta with lobster and shrimp, and wow… the flavors were on another level. Every bite was perfectly seasoned and beautifully balanced. This is the kind of food that makes you close your eyes and just savor the moment.
We also had one of the mocktails the Rossano which was equally impressive and such a lovely complement to the meal.
But the absolute showstopper? The tableside tiramisu. They literally made the tiramisu right in front of us at the table, and it was as delicious as it was spectacular to watch. It's the kind of experience you don't forget.
Beyond the food, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You could feel the love and care in every interaction. The entire team made us feel so welcomed and taken care of throughout the entire meal. Shoutout to Ronaldo our server!
This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why you love going out to eat. Highly, highly recommend but make a reservation in advance because a spot this special fills up fast!
Piccola Cucina Uptown, you have a customer for life. Bravo 🙌🏽

Piccola never disappoint me. The appetizer stuffed fried zucchini flower is surprisingly good, very satisfying! The ravioli with veal has just the right ratio of filling and right al dente. Probably the best ravioli I had in the city. Too full for tiramisu which I’ll have to come back for!

Good:
bread was fantastic, airy yet structured texture. A hovering gentleman staff(manager maybe) was very nice and had great timing for refilling water, offering more bread, taking our dessert order, etc. Our waitress for our actual table didnt really show up after taking our order initially but she was nice too

Bad:
we got to the restaurant 5 minutes before our reservation but were seated 10 minutes after. The hostesses also didn't communicate with us well about the extra wait. There is not really a waiting area, just some small awk standing space next to the door.
Then we were seated at the very last table in the back right next to the window into the kitchen, which had white florescent light. I will to admit I didn't specify which vibe table I'd like under my reservation's special request but all the other tables had cozy, warm, dim bulbs and my table didn't have the ambiance.
All of the food was bland, which is crazy for an Italian restaurant. Sauces that came with the bread, the pasta, even the short ribs were not seasoned enough. Burrata was the only dish I really enjoyed just bc it's cheese and arugula. The chip it came with was also not seasoned

Piccola Cucina Uptown is one of those places that gets everything right. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, lively, and genuinely welcoming. It has that perfect mix of an authentic Italian feel while still being energetic and fun, which makes it great for any occasion.

The food was absolutely incredible. The free bread for the table comes with a trio of toppers and is the perfect start to your meal. The Pacchero ai tre crostacei (Paccheri with scampi langoustine, lobster and shrimp) was easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Spaghetti cacio e pepe (Spaghetti with pecorino cheese and black pepper) was also fantastic, and the tableside preparation in the hollowed-out Pecorino Romano cheese wheel made it a fun and memorable experience. Watching it come together into that creamy, peppery sauce is something everyone should experience at least once.

What really makes this place stand out though is the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive, and dedicated to ensuring we had a great experience. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every part of the meal.

This is the kind of place you can come with friends, on a date, or with family and know it will be a great experience. We will definitely be back regularly and it’s already become one of my go-to spots in the city. I can’t recommend it enough.

Went here with a friend 2 years ago and loved the tiramisu. Daughter is obsessed with tiramisu so had to take her here to try. The pasta that I got previously were thick with the mushroom but they changed it to fettuccine now. Same sauce and flavor. Seems the dip for the bread was diff 2 years ago? 3 diff options versus just the one for now? Or did my friend order a special one. Not sure. Either way it was good. Maybe it had sun-dried tomatoes. The pastas my kids ordered were good too. The veal ravioli and the other with pecorino romano. But they didn't finish. I didn't finish mine this time either. I guess it can be filling. Somewhat heavy. Then the highlight~ the best part! Tiramisu~ freshly made right in front of us. The people near us could not stop watching either and talked about it. The cream is the best part~ 😋😋😋 my kids enjoyed it. Yes it has caffeine but just a one time thing. Worth it. And the octopus appetizer from 2 years ago was good too. Kinda forgot about that one 🥲 wish we had ordered that one too.

Cozy, authentic Italian pastas and cuisine. Tagliatelle and pappardelle with porcini mushroom pastas were both good. The papparedelle was a bit salty. The fritto misto was delicious and the portion was very large. The tiramisu is highly recommended; the cream is very delicious. The house red chianti was also smooth and balanced. The lunch menu items are all $19.95.

We sat at the bar and by the time we left there were no seats! I think the food was good and especially loved the breatd - fresh, lots of flavor, and a great selection of wine. I love the cuteness of this place and the wine selection was pretty decent too! I liked the Zucchini flowers but the gnocchi we got ended up being way more of a blue cheese flavor than i thought it would but the gnocchi melted in your mouth. I would try it again with a different sauce instead.

My sister and I ate here and real enjoyed our meals. The bread was so fluffy, soft, and fresh. The service was amazing and such a great total experience from the time we walked in the door until leaving. The tiramisu was phenomenal. The lasagna was really solid as well. Shout out to our great server, Elena and the rest of Piccola Cucina staff who helped us out.

we found this place on Reddit and they said it was a hidden gem and we all agree. The service was great. The food was delicious. We walked in. We didn’t have to wait and it was a nice chill ambient environment. I want to emphasize the service was great because they kept our water full. They removed our plates immediately and the food did not take long whatsoever. It was really cool that they made our tiramisu tableside at the end. I’d recommend this place. It’s really good and definitely a good place to check out.

Piccolo Cucina Uptown is a delicious restaurant with excellent service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The entire experience felt special from start to finish.

They started us off with complimentary bread and a trio of dips, which was a lovely touch. We began with the fennel and orange salad and the zucchini flowers, which were fried and filled with cheese and both absolutely delicious.

For pasta, we enjoyed the bucatini cacio e pepe, made tableside in a cheese wheel, which was both fun and memorable. The maccheroni alla Norma with eggplant in a rich tomato sauce topped with cheese was outstanding.

For dessert, we couldn’t choose just one, so they brought us two, with one being complimentary. We had the cannoli and the lemon cheesecake with white chocolate, and both were excellent and the perfect ending to the meal.

A wonderful, warm experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this place every dish was excellent from start to finish.
The Fugassa con pesto di pistachio was soft and freshly baked, paired with a rich, nutty pistachio pesto that was incredibly aromatic and flavorful. The Bucatini Cacio e Pepe with grilled chicken had a perfectly creamy, peppery cheese sauce with al dente pasta, and the grilled chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. The Maccheroni alla Norma delivered authentic Sicilian comfort with a vibrant tomato sauce and tender eggplant. The Spaghetti Pomodoro Basil with grilled chicken was fresh and simple, with bright tomato flavors, fragrant basil, and perfectly cooked chicken.
To finish, the Tiramisu was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with just the right hint of coffee and sweetness.
On top of the amazing food, the service was excellent friendly, attentive, and well-timed, making the entire dining experience even better.
Overall, this place offers authentic Italian flavors, high-quality ingredients, and outstanding service.

Fugassa con pesto di pistachio
Bucatini Cacio e Pepe with grilled chicken
Maccheroni alla Norma
Spaghetti Pomodoro Basil with grilled chicken
Tiramisu

We went with our friends for dinner again recently. Been there many times and it is always fun. We sat in the back near the kitchen this time. Ordered several appetizers and main courses to share with the table. Then had great deserts. Erica the hostess is wonderful and always makes our visit a memorable dining experience.
Highly recommended! Visit often. Reservations a must.
Back again for lunch with friends. We ordered pasta with sausage and salad with tuna. Both were very nice. Large portions.

This location stands out for its authentic vibe and flavorful dishes. The calamari was amazing, and the octopus carpaccio had a perfect balance with the veggies. The truffle branzino is an absolute must try unforgettable flavor!Unfortunately, the cacio e pepe was disappointing beautiful presentation but too watery and lacking in cheesy flavor. The signature clam spaghetti was nice for seafood lovers. The biggest letdown was the service. My cocktail arrived 20 minutes late (and only after I asked again), and it tasted mostly like water and ice. The wine came out almost after we finished the appetizers, and the server didn’t pour it, just left it on ice bucket. She sent out all the appetizers at the same time, even though we were there to enjoy a relaxed, pleasant dinner(the table was small, and unfortunately, it was impossible to find space for more than two appetizers.)
Desserts were fantastic. I wish the server had treated us more like guests rather than just customers. We wouldn’t have felt like they wanted us to leave quickly, and we would have had a much nicer overall experience.
