I brought my dog in for grooming on 5/3. While the groomer was very friendly, I discovered once I got home that my dog had been cut by the clippers near his genitals. This was an open wound, and I wish this had been communicated to me at pickup so I could have addressed it immediately.<br><br>This is also not the first concerning experience. On a previous visit, I was turned away because my dog had taken a calming pill, yet during this most recent appointment, no one asked about medications at all. The inconsistency is frustrating and confusing.<br><br>I also want to note that while the groomer had a great personality, the manager (blonde, mature woman) was not very kind during my interactions. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously to prevent this from happening to other pets.

You have a policy where, after purchasing six bags of food, the seventh bag is free. However, I find it unacceptable that if I buy a $70 bag, the free one is also—and *must* be—that exact same $70 bag, rather than a cheaper option. I consider this unfair, and I will no longer be purchasing from you; you are essentially stealing from the people—us customers—who are the reason you have a business

The cashier and the sales personnel are very nice and professional and extremely helpful. I told them the mushroom scratching post I needed and they took me right to it. My kiddie Corin in 3 years had 5 of them. She eventually unravels the twine in the middle. It is her favorite thing. Thank you.

I had such an exceptional experience at Petco thanks to Pat. I stopped in to pick up some doggy ice cream for my puppy, and even though she was clearly very busy, she took the time to give me thoughtful, attentive service. She went above and beyond, offering helpful suggestions and genuinely caring about making sure I found the right items for my dog.<br><br>Customer service like Pat’s is rare these days, and it truly makes a difference. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to help turned a simple purchase into a memorable experience. She is a valuable asset to Petco, and because of her, I will absolutely choose to shop in-store again rather than online.<br><br>Thank you, Pat, for reminding me what great customer service looks like.

I only find myself at the Rego Park Petco once or twice a year, usually when I'm already at Rego Center and realize I need a specific toy or a bulk bag of litter. It’s tucked right into that busy Junction Blvd complex, so the underground parking is always an adventure, but the store itself is surprisingly spacious for being in the middle of Queens.<br><br>The grooming station always seems busy, and the fish section is usually better maintained than most big-box pet stores. I’ve grabbed some quick supplies here in a pinch, and while the prices are standard Petco, the convenience of hitting it along with Costco makes it a solid occasional stop. It’s clean, well-organized, and the staff is helpful enough if you can actually track someone down in the aisles!

Maggots are contaminated the dog food here Ive received two 50 pound bags of the Purina sport 30/20 in a row March 19th and the March 26 so pretty recent. It saddens me because this has been my go to store since I moved to the area in 2023 this is the first time something has happened I’ve contacted support all they wanted to do was replace/refund. I don’t care mainly about the 99 bucks it’s the safety of my babies that’s number one the price 2nd and it is pretty pricey I’m not reach by any means I have 8 cats two cane corsos and a few strays so I’m a frequent flyer to petco. I’m waiting to see if they are going to investigate, and notify me and or the public. So far it appears like it’s not being taken seriously however I’m not going to let this go at all rest assure. I’ve also reached out to Purina and ready to contact the FDA. Just thought the people should know. BEWARE AND EXTRA DILIGENT

This store usually carries the food my cat likes, which is the main reason I shop here. Unfortunately, I’ve had multiple disappointing experiences with customer service.<br><br>On one occasion, my fiancé went to pick up an online order under my name. In the past, we’ve FaceTimed so I could show my ID and there were no issues. This time, the cashier impolitely refused. When I called the store to clarify, he hung up on me. When I would call back, he repeatedly hung up on me. It was very unprofessional. I understand policies, but there’s a way to communicate respectfully.<br><br>More recently, I placed an online order that was delivered by DoorDash. The order arrived with more than half the items missing. When I contacted the store and the driver, they blamed each other. The driver stated he told the sales associate there were additional items in the order but was brushed off. Regardless of where the breakdown occurred, it reflects poor communication and lack of accountability.<br><br>Additionally, the lines are often long and extra registers are rarely opened during busy times.<br><br>I hope management focuses on improving customer service and order accuracy, because the product selection is good — but the service needs improvement.

If you need your cat's food it's here but don't always expect it to be well stocked. The store is always blazing hot. And they never have a good selection. I went for the Christmas toy sale and of course there was only one tiny display for cats which was empty and aisles and aisles full for dogs.

I placed a curbside pickup order through the Petco app and arrived at the store as instructed. I waited outside the location for over 20 minutes, during which the app continued to indicate that my order was ready and that an associate was on the way.<br><br>After receiving no assistance, I contacted the store and spoke with an associate named Pat, who stated that this location does not offer curbside pickup, despite the app explicitly advertising and confirming that service. Pat further stated that the store was locking its doors approximately 10 minutes prior to the posted closing time and that she did not know how I would receive my already-paid order.<br><br>When I explained that I had been waiting outside specifically because curbside pickup was represented as available and that my order had been completed and paid for in advance, Pat responded that she “didn’t know what to tell me,” and suggested that “maybe if you run, someone will give it to you,” while reiterating that the doors were being locked immediately. At the time of this interaction, the store was still open according to its posted business hours.<br><br>These statements were dismissive and conveyed a clear lack of regard for basic customer care. Advertising a service that is not actually offered, combined with denying access to a customer prior to closing time—particularly one who has already paid and followed all provided instructions—is unacceptable.<br><br>I have already escalated this matter to Petco corporate and will be following up formally. This experience reflects poorly on staff conduct, training, and store management. I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it to others.<br><br>Attached: screenshotted timestamps of my phone call to the store (made over ten minutes prior to posted closing time) as well as the confirmation page of my curbside pickup order at the identified location.

Jasmine is an absolutely fantastic employee and teacher to my Coco Bean. Shortly after adopting Coco last year, we immediately went to Petco to look into training classes and Jasmine was there to assist us. We proceeded with purchasing all courses available, including the AKC bundle. For nearly a year, Jasmine has shown to be a passionate and exemplary teacher. Not only is she patient with all students, she’s happy to assist with any questions unrelated to the sessions. Coco Bean graduated all sessions and passed her Puppy Test & AKC CGC Test in September with flying marks. We couldn’t have been more grateful to Jasmine!

This is my go-to location for cat food, treats, toys and everything else. An employee by the name of Rafael is the best! He's informative and kind. I had a situation with a dog that was abandoned in my area. I took her straight to the store to get food, a harness & collar. He helped me get a harness that perfectly fit her & walked me through the food options I could get. He's amazing & deserves a pay raise!

Training -<br>I’ve been doing the pet training with Jasmine, and she has been absolutely wonderful! She’s very sweet, patient, and attentive—especially with my Shiba, who can be a little stubborn at times. Jasmine takes the time to clearly explain each step of the training process and demonstrates how to do the exercises correctly so we can continue practicing at home. I really appreciate her calm and encouraging approach—it’s made training a much more positive experience for both me and my dog!

This location >>> the Metro one. Parking is tougher but it’s way cleaner inside. Selection is pretty good for healthier dog food and treats. We take both of our dogs for grooming here and I love how they trimmed my Poms fur this time around!
