Lots of Caribbean food varieties. The store is very packed, aisles are narrow.
Parking is limited.

I live on the Block, the overflow from the parking blocks everybody’s driveway where nobody can get into their residence whatsoever. People come from the store dump all the junk on the streets and everything they don’t care it’s disgusting.

I love the store. I saw so many various food products, they dont lack at all. I love that have a various assortment of all sorts of fruits and vegetables too. It's quite large and if you love fresh, i think you would like the store too. I see the carribean vibe and I like that too. It can get crowded, as it tends to. But I like the customer service and the overall look and my experiences eith the store. It's great overall for me

This, by all rights, must wear five stars upon its breast. Quietly—almost without boast—they have set the measure by which I judge all others of their kind. To cross their threshold is to have one’s expectations recalibrated, the bar raised and left aloft. From thenceforth, lesser houses reveal themselves at once, for here is the standard, plainly and firmly set.

Most of the products sold here are Jamaican, but there are also Latin American products in smaller sections. They have a little bit of everything; it's quite well-stocked and organized, and there's always someone willing to help you when you're looking for something.

I love shopping at Palmtree- I just don't look forward to the parking in the area. They have a wide range of food especially from the caribbean. This is the spot I would recommend to get great prices for your groceries. The manager/owner is very attentive and helpful. He is always looking around and as soon as he sees that you need help he doesnt hesitate to come over or call someone to help. I could recommend to get your local produce and snacks from the caribbean.

Seen this store multiple times on social media. I was finally in the Bronx and made sure I gave it a try, as the advertisement of this place shows so much that we don't get in Long Island or things we would get when we are in Jamaica. Very disappointed, parking lot is very chaotic. Aisle inside are small and tight. Two people cannot go up and down comfortable. Workers are in the aisles packing out boxes while people are trying to shop in the limited space. Not a lot of items that we would normally get in Jamaica. Our carribean market in long island has better options. I searched the whole store for Betapac seasons, not one in sight. Prices on some items were also very high. I did purchase some items but won't be back.

Parking is difficult. Fish department closes at 7 PM if you want your fish cleaned. The variety ethnic fruits, vegetables, and grocery are very plentiful. The staff is helpful.

I was not disappointed.

I once liked this place, but over the years has gotten so bad.. over price produce that are no longer fresh.. Friday night I stopped by on my way home to Connecticut. I brought callaloo, peppers etc. I emphasize callaloo because I brought two bags for at $2.79 Ib. both bags were like $15+ I realize Monday when I was getting ready to prepare it that the callaloo was hard af, tough.. even stripping to cut was difficult. It was thick and old. Of course in this case it's impossible to even prepare. I called palm tree to tell them, first person came on the phone screaming that if it's passed three days I can't return it. I asked for a manager, and same behavior if not worst. Mind you I explained that I don't just live down the street, and that I drive all the way from CT. Also that I travel for work, and couldn't just come right back to their store. I was told I wouldn't get a store credit after three days..etc. After listening to more disrespect I decided it won't happen again, as this wasn't the first I've encountered their disrespectful behavior. Twice is enough @Palm tree.. There are other Caribbean supermarket besides you, and why stoop to your level. You won't ever get my money again. Way to give great customer service😡 smh.

I have been looking for a store where I can get real authentic Jamaican produce to buy. This store by far is the best I’ve found so far. You feel as if you’re back in Jamaica getting real Jamaican food. I’ll definitely recommend to anyone try to get their groceries, season, spices etc.

The best ever, choice, price, quality...everything. I've never ever been to no other supermarket I love more, they literally sell all my fav foods and again......the best prices ever...kudos to the owner...you doing the caribbean ppl who love their home products a great job, no matter where I live in the US. I fly over to buy products. The only setback is the space, aisles are narrow and the guys always packing out stuff and you're limited with moving around with a trolley, but the fact that I can get all my fav products/produce in one place is very good for me, cause we can't have it all, I moved away from that area and the prices I pay where I live are double foe most products and the other surrounding stores sell stale items and I hate that.

Finally decided to visit this supermarket.
Wow! This place is not ideal to carry kids or being on the plus+size🙃🤭...the space for walking in this supermarket is sooo narrow, you have to be careful not bounce against the shelves, are you will be paying for stuff you didn't purchase.
My advise carry a small crossbody bag, no kids and slide 'side-ways' 😉 through those isles. The refrigerator section for meats need refurbished.
3 ⭐stars because you can find a wide variety of Caribbean products and prices are competitive.

I’d passed the store en route to other places in the past, yet never went in. The side of the store is plastered with imagery of tropical produce and beaches, conjuring the Caribbean. This is best described as a grocery store with West Indians (especially Jamaicans) as they primary target.

I live in the West Bronx where there isn’t a huge West Indian population. Spending a lot of time in Brooklyn, I’m used to picking up staples while I’m out and about. I made a concerted effort to use Google to find a specialty market to find a particular Trinidadian curry. I wasn’t sure that I’d be able to get it in the Bronx.

Traveling hear wasn’t exactly easy, but it was a nice day and I tried my luck. I was impressed at the system the store had for socializing distancing, only allowing a certain amount of customers in at once. A bonus was that the employee gave each customer a pair of disposable gloves before entering.

Within seconds, I saw that there was a large spice display at the end of the aisle. I was able to find several Trini curry blends, of which I bought. I saw that they sold traditional items like breadfruit, which is also not common in the West Bronx. The selection of beverages, snacks, produce, and staples were good. I also picked up a ginger sorrel drink. In the back there’s a fish market, selling fresh selections. I would be interested in buying some cuts to grill at home.

Overall, the only downside was that despite the social distancing, the aisles are very narrow. Other than that, I would like to go back
