This is probably the best sushi I have had ever! The freshness of the tuna was like no other and I have had many tuna rolls before. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, it felt really comfy and the service was really nice. Definitely will come back to this place when I am in NYC again!

Oyishi Sushi on 80th is the best hole in the wall you’ll find on the Upper East Side. It’s well known for takeout omakase, but the real magic is eating there fresh. The space is tiny, maybe six or seven seats inside, plus a couple of outdoor tables, which makes it feel even more special.<br><br>The staff is incredibly warm, but the star is the fish. The otoro is mind blowing, the seabass is perfection, and everything tastes unbelievably fresh. It’s simple, no frills, and just so good.<br><br>If you know, you know. Definitely check it out.

Ordered the 10-piece omakase and it was outstanding. The complimentary sake between courses was a great touch—it really refreshed the palate and elevated the experience. At $50, the quality is incredible. Will definitely be back.

SUSHI WAS THICC AND EXTREMELY FRESH<br><br>Love this place down, the service was amazing, waiter extremely friendly and offered my friend and I free sake but we turned him down. Ambiance was nice, I loved their playlist, every song was a hit in my books.<br><br>My friend and I got the nigiri chefs choice and maki box, both of which was scrumptious! They did not have a tip suggestion or anything that implied tip was required, but service and food was so good, my friend and I tipped NYC standard anyway.

Amazing little sushi spot in UES! Highly recommend! Great fish quality for an amazing price. I really loved the Maki box, some of the best sushi I have had in a while!

Great Japanese omakase place to go. They also have only six seats inside. Service is fast, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Amazing sushi place. I went here yesterday with my best friend and we had an amazing time. Very welcoming environment with friendly staff that will go over what’s in front of you for additional context and information about the fish you order. Very delicious and fresh sushi. I 100% want to come back!

This is one of the best meals I’ve EVER had. What they lack in atmosphere is made up for with hospitality and quality. There is only room for about 8 people in the restaurant, so don’t expect a massive romantic space. The quality of ingredients is unmatched and at an extremely reasonable price. Nicest staff too, I have no complaints.<br><br>This is the best sushi for this price point in New York City. Eat here.

The sushi here is incredibly fresh and priced super reasonably! The service is amazing — such a sweet, warm family vibe. The chef even kept pouring me free sake! You guys have to check this place out!

This must be a hidden gem in NY. Was craving something quick and healthy for lunch. I saw that they had really good reviews so decided to stop by. Got the chirashi and they gave the biggest slices with avo and ikura. Was pleasantly surprised. The fish was also very high quality. They didn't request a review but just wanted to give one to share my good experience. 5/5 for sure.

This is a hidden gem in UES. I’m so glad I don’t need to trek to midtown anymore to get good quality sushi at an affordable price. I ordered their chirashi bowl rainbow set for $30 and it was packed with thick cuts of fresh yellowtail, buttery salmon, and torched toro. There were ikura, yellow pickled radish, tamago and truffle salt added as a nice touch. The interior is small but inviting with 4 bar stool seats. But i definitely want to come back to try their omakase sets in person. It’s now going to be my regular sushi spot. Also bring cash to save 5% on your bill.

The absolute best sushi I’ve head. Ordered the omakase box each piece was better than the next. Staff is so sweet and gave us watermelon and sake while we waited for the food. Incredibly convenient 1000/10 rating. Will be coming back

I really should be sharing two five star reviews because my kid is also raving about this place. Service was genuinely nice, we got some watermelon during our brief wait for sushi. My kid says this is real sushi rice, not just sticky rice. Definitely coming here again. It’s small, clean, casual and yummy. Awesome. Pic of salmon avo roll.

The service was extraordinary here. It’s probably the best service I have ever had at a sushi restaurant. Because it was my first time the sushi chef brought out a piece of nigiri for me to try. It was phenomenal. After I ordered and finished eating, they came over and boxed up my leftovers. The food and service is 10/10.
