Great neighborhood pizzeria. I grew up in the neighborhood and this place never fails. Their garlic knots are insane! The garlic is potent and honestly cleared a bit of a throat issue I had. LOL! 😂 The Primavera pizza is delicious! It's a healthy option if you're vegetarian or can't eat too much cheese and/or heavy sauce. The broccoli and mushrooms on the Primavera are perfectly cooked. Their regular slices are great, as well. I like to order it with extra cheese. It's perfection. The service is fast and friendly. The staff there is awesome! The place is clean with excellent sitting room. Overall, awesome Pizzeria with great food. Everything here is top notch ❤️

Now with that being said let's jump right into it I came in here did not know why I would stop for pizza because I'm really not a pizza person but for some reason the flavors the scents were getting in my nostrils while I pass by and then the lady next door told me to try the spot out so I did I trust her I do business with her all the time so I did. Let's get right to it I approached a handsome gentleman behind the counter and I said is it good, I write Google reviews so let me know am I going to be happy . Before I gave him a chance to answer I told him if it's good I'll let you know I said in a joking way but I was serious. So I asked for two slices and a Pepsi. He gave me the Pepsi the slices were in the oven when he opened the oven I took a look inside to see if I saw any burnt crust pie or cheese or tomato sauce I didn't see any thank goodness that's a good thing. I then began to look around taking pictures to see the story of this place. I a posting but didn't get a chance really to read it because I had annoying Jose yep that's his name, I told the first guy I was going to mention him by name and his name is Jose . Jose interrupted me taking in the ambiance because he was in a rush for me to pay. I wasn't going anywhere I was going to eat there but Jose kept rushing me so I'm in a good spirit I went over and paid Jose and told him he shouldn't rush the customer. So guys if you feel Rush behind the counter and its Jose at the counter you know who to tell stop rushing you. Its Jose LOL. This is my first time here I wanted to enjoy everything I saw and I must say if I was a city rater, I didn't see any thing here that would cause the grade to be anything less than a B+ I can't rate an A because there was something wrong and that was there was an employee sweeping the floor while people were seated and eating that's a No-No because as you know dust flies it goes up in the air and can go into people's food that's a no no not good. Also I did not taste at least 5 dishes on the menus so I cannot rate off a pizza. I truly did enjoy the simple ambience. I've been in this neighborhood since a young adult I've passed this way over 40 times Within 3 months and never stopped in here. I just don't understand it. And they have more than pizza I just didn't do it but now that I know I will be back. Thank you guys for being in the neighborhood for so long and if the recipe is the same thank you for a good recipe. However oh yeah you know there's going to be however there's always a however and that however is the mozzarella something was off about the mozzarella. I don't know really what it is but when I spoke to one of the managers in the blue shirt what he informed me really did give me the explanation as to why the flavor of the mozzarella was not what I expected. So it took away from the expecting taste but it was still good. Normally I like a thick crust but I can't hold that against you guys you weren't making it personally for me and I'm sure that when you do make it personally for me you will give it to me the way I like it no doubt. Nonetheless I met a handsome gentleman when I first came in and introduced myself as a Googlehead reviewer and I met Jose "Mr. rush" me to the counter and I met a manager who seem to be a very nice guy who did not mind filling me in on information he seemed to really enjoy customer service and I like that. I will be back thank you. Manager please tell Jose stop rushing people to pay . Thank you LOL
Places is delicious. Nice people order everything.
One of the best Pizza restaurant in Brooklyn hands down 10 out of 10 customer service. The food is exceptional, the prices are fair. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is clean. Big Shout out to Tom This is a very nice restaurant
It's funny. 1 guy behind the counter - that we ordered from was so nice and friendly. While another one made u want to leave the place. So, I'm sure you guys know exactly who they are, and if you don't want these reviews, you may want to consider restructuring.
I ordered a standard slice of pizza, which wasn't bad. It had been a few months since I last bought pizza, and I noticed the price went up the cheese slice was $4 (not sure if this is the same for other places nearby). The last time I checked, some places were still charging around $3.50, so I guess prices have changed.

They only accept cash, which I understand, but it's still a bit annoying and inconvenient. I happened to have just picked up some cash, so I was able to pay, especially since I didn't have my wallet with my debit card for the machine.

On a positive note, the men working there were pretty friendly.
Number 1 pizza place in brooklyn i first had the classic pizza WOW, but the grandma pizza blew my mind WOW WOW WOW 😋 🍕 i am in pizza heaven and i cant even do dairy or cheese but it was so good this is my second round 😁 i added my own black olives, wild shrimp, and mushrooms and broiled it and PERFECTO! Topped with avocado
I grew up eating and working at Original Pizza on Ave L back in the day when Sal and Vinny were on top of things and Benny would drive by and pick up the cash. A few years back I went to have some pizza there and since then I never went back.
I figured I would try the one on Ralph and I am glad I did. I had two Sicilian slices and they brought me back to when I was a teen. It was nice to know they use Grande Cheese with the plaque on the wall and the sauce tasted like marinara with hints of basil. The dough was light and crispy. The ratio of Cheese to sauce was perfect. It’s amazing how they can still make the same tasting pizza after over 50 years.
The workers there are also very nice.
Best pizza I’ve ever had. I am not big on pizza, I’ll probably have one every here and there, but I don’t really go out of my way to buy pizza or ever crave pizza. But I work as a taxi driver for the moment, and I was looking for a bathroom, realized this place was still open, and I also had to eat something. I walked in, and the guy was VERY WELCOMING. Idk if it was his friendliness, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, but that was by far the BEST PIZZA I’ve ever had. And I’ve eaten plenty from different places from all over NYC.
I stopped by Original Pizza on Ralph Avenue today and was impressed with the experience. I ordered the chicken bacon barbecue slice, paired with a cold Pepsi. The pizza was delicious, with just the right balance of flavors from the barbecue sauce, tender chicken, and crispy bacon. The slice was a generous size, making it both satisfying and worth the price.

The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting, with a nice variety of pizza options on display. I’ll definitely return for another visit to try more of their unique slices. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!
You are treated like family, even if it’s your first time walking through the door. Vast selection of goods to choose from, pizza was cooked to perfection. The texture, the crunch, the sauce, are a perfect combination. No matter what you pick to eat, you will not be disappointed.
Great summer spot for lunch both in and outdoor seating.
We were searching for food kind of late on Tuesday. Original Pizza is now open until 1 am! So we pulled up and they still had grandma slices and much more. The garlic knots were amazing. Pasta slices were gone but classic slices like plain and chicken ceasar were ready to go. This location has a rich history in the neighborhood. Slices start at $4+ and they are the traditional size.
Great place. Been eating their pizza for 15 years straight. Prices are ok, delivery is fast. I easily participated in eating like 500 of their pies. Don't understand how come they don't send me Birthday and Christmas cards by now. I like their MVP pies, they look fancy and taste amazing
This week marks my first visit to Original Pizza. I had a slice of the traditional Original cheese pie 🍕....very tasty, indeed. Can't wait to return and try two of the other eye-catching items that I saw. Seeing is believing but tasting is even better. The staff is really cool....😄
Definitely in my top 3 favorite pizza places in Brooklyn/NYC area ❤️. The staff is an incredibly cool, super friendly, down to earth group of people. The pizza is next level, any Alice you get will not disappoint. I personally love the grandma and marinara and chicken Caesar...and can't wait to go back for more.
