My wife of 41 years and I wanted to celebrate a major milestone in our lives with something memorable.

We flew up to NYC from TN for a special sunset dinner at the One World Observatory.

At the restaurant, we were greeted by the Restaurant Director Josue Hernandez and his friendly staff.

We were promptly seated at the best possible window table.

Our server, Nicole, guided us through the various menu choices.

This was one of the most delicious culinary experiences we could have ever imagined.

Even the Director himself came to our table to make sure everything was as expected.

Then Mr Hernandez presented me with a very special retirement gift that we will forever cherish.

The view of the sunset, the light, the ambiance and the service were simply - fantastic.

What a PERFECT way to mark the end of an era for me -
almost 42 years in the airline business.

We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Thanks-a-million! The mocktail was good, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing because of the service. The waitress was quite rude and seemed to pressure us into leaving a tip. Communication was poor throughout our visit.

When we arrived and wanted to have a drink at the bar, we immediately felt judged by the way the staff looked at us, which made us uncomfortable. I visited New York last November, but this will definitely be my last time at this bar. There are many other places nearby with equally beautiful views and much better service.

The prices themselves were acceptable, but the service did not justify the overall experience. What upset us the most was that we were charged a €20 tip even though we did not agree to leave one. We were told that signing the receipt was mandatory, but it seemed that this was presented as a simple authorization for the card payment, while the tip was added without being clearly explained. We found this very misleading and dishonest.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear that the service didn't meet your expectations, as we strive for a welcoming atmosphere. Your feedback is valuable and will help us address these concerns to enhance future visits. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance.
The Team at One World Observatory

Cool place is very atmospheric, you can have breakfast high above the ground. And if you visit in the evening, don't forget to bring a second phone and film in. Time laps Manhattan, the view as the sun sets is very beautiful.

Response from the owner

Thank you, Anton! We're thrilled you enjoyed the atmosphere and breathtaking views. Capturing the sunset sounds like a fantastic idea—those moments are truly unforgettable. We look forward to welcoming you back for another amazing experience!
The Team at One World Observatory

We had a great experience here in late May with a party of four. The views are obviously the main draw, but we all agreed that the food was solid across the board as well and there's decent menu variety. If you have a prepaid meal package, they do a great job of explaining to you what is included and the staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend dinner here around sunset- amazing views.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your fantastic review, Mason! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the views, food, and attentive service. Dining at sunset truly enhances the experience. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another memorable meal soon!
The Team at One World Observatory

We went for our anniversary dinner and shared it with friends also celebrating their anniversary. The food was outstanding! We were all please with our meals! Drinks were good. The view phenomenal!
The sad part was, 18% gratuity automatically applied when we purchased. We’re great tippers but our waitress did nothing to go above what was expected. She did her job but nothing else.

It was our anniversary and we chose to spend it here. The dinner isn’t cheap! But nothing was special? They could’ve given us an extra drink for our celebration? It doesn’t make us want to necessarily go back because it wasn’t special. We got a card and a small piece of chocolate on top of our desserts.
The meal was great! Service ok. Nothing special!

Response from the owner

Thank you for celebrating your anniversary with us, Lisa! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the food and views. We appreciate your feedback about the service and will keep it in mind as we strive to enhance the overall experience for special occasions. We hope to see you again!
The Team at One World Observatory

Great atmosphere, the food advertised visually on the way to the bar was apparently a pic from 2 years prior. So instead of 4-5 crispy glazed pork belly slices they had a pasta with diced pieces of pork belly seemingly equivalent to 1 strip of pork.

Had a great experience dining at the restaurant in One World Observatory! The views are absolutely stunning and make the whole experience worth it. I’d definitely recommend going for the premium ticket—it includes both the entry and food, which makes everything much smoother. Otherwise, you’ll need to buy the observation ticket and pay for food separately. Overall, the premium option is totally worth it for a hassle-free and memorable visit!

Response from the owner

Thank you for your fantastic review, Vrushali! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the stunning views and found the premium ticket option convenient. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience soon!
The Team at One World Observatory

I already had plans to visit One World Observatory and saw it was restaurant week for the time I was there. I have previously been here for restaurant week during a summer a couple years ago and wanted to try it again.

The offer for restaurant week reservations were on the website for One World Observatory. With the purchase price, it includes access to the observatory and as with everything, you need observatory tickets. So, it was nice that it was just all in one where I didn’t have to purchase separate things.

It is good to take note of the opening times for One Dine as it opens at 12pm. So plan accordingly if you want to see everything before or after - which doesn’t really matter.

Checking in with the host was easy and was seated right away. Menus were given for restaurant week and had a good selection of items. This particular one involved 2 courses. No drinks included, such as alcoholic. Other ones vary as I know there’s some 3 or 4 course ones that include alcohol - price reflects.

I started with a New World Fashioned. It was good but slightly too strong.

To start, I had the Smoked Salmon Flatbread and it was quite good. Nothing that tasted too fishy or too smoked. It had a good balance of flavor. Extra, I ordered shrimp and it was shrimp - nothing new.

For the main, I selected the Pork Belly Linguine. I thoroughly enjoyed it until I started to get tired of it. If that makes sense? Like, I started to lose interest in eating it. At first, it tasted great. But after awhile, I did not enjoy the taste. It was also a lot more spicy than I anticipated - and I usually like mildly spicy foods.

For extra, I ordered the Cavatappi Mac N Cheese and it was tremendous. The cheese was super good and the flavor was not overwhelming. The right temperature.

Overall, the food isn’t bad. I see mixed reviews saying the food isn’t all that, but, seemingly depends on your tastes and what you order off the menu. As I said before, I’ve been to One Dine in the past and it was excellent. So, returning should mean something.

As far as the views go, you get great views of the city. What more could you ask for sitting, eating, and drinking enjoying amazing views from that level. If anything that you don’t come here for the food, come for the drinks. They do have a bar and a wide selection of cocktails and other beverages that will sure make your day enjoyable.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experience, Jace! We're glad you enjoyed the views and some of the dishes during restaurant week. We appreciate your feedback on the menu and will take it into consideration. We look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable visit!
The Team at One World Observatory

I made dinner reservations to celebrate my anniversary, and I wanted to dine with a magnificent view, so I paid the $400 non refundable fee. When we arrived after traveling more than an hour, we were told that visibility was zero, and we could reschedule. At this point we were here and hungry so we stayed. It would have been wonderful if the restaurant notified us in advance of the zero visibility, so we could have made other arrangements, not when you arrived. The point of going there is the views of the city, the sunset, and the river. Food was good, but with zero visibility, not worth $400.

Response from the owner

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment you faced during your anniversary dinner. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will work to improve our communication for future guests. We appreciate your kind words about the food, but we understand that it did not meet full expectations without the view. Please reach out to us at info@oneworldobservatory.com, as we would like to address your concerns further. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to create a better experience for you in the future.

Sincerely,
The Team at One World Observatory

We got the brocollini pasta, warm olives, filet mignon, and mashed potatos. The olives were really good and suprisingly a bit spicy! The pasta was great and the filet was perfectly seasoned. Wouldn't go all the way up the tower just to go back but worth going while at the observatory

Response from the owner

Thanks for the fantastic review, Carter! We're thrilled you enjoyed the broccolini pasta, warm olives, and filet mignon. Your feedback means a lot, and we hope to see you again when you're back at the observatory for more great dining experiences!
The Team at One World Observatory

Great place for light fare and wine; even though the menu clearly indicates 18% is added, it would have been helpful to be reminded but wait staff ended up getting 40% tip. They were a bit slow but attentive when able to grab their attention. It was worth the view. Pita was served warm and the truffle fries lived up to the expectation. Chicken was ok. Wine nice and chilled but not very large pours. Wine and apps ended up costing close to $200. Still worth it.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad you enjoyed the view and the truffle fries. We appreciate your feedback regarding the service and menu clarity; it helps us improve. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable visit soon!

The Team at One World Observatory

The atmosphere was a pleasant surprise! Such a fun local vibe. Nicole, a bartender, makes an amazing dirty martini and makes for a fun and laid back experience in a beautiful location. Highly recommend spending some time here.
