NYC Staple right here. I’ve been grabbing Pizza Suprema slices for 20 years. They are consistently a great slice of pizza, at most times of day and night- through bustling crowds or quiet lulls. The pizza has a medium dough, with a pleasant crisp and a slightly doughy center. The sauce is special here, they don’t skimp, and it’s a classic rich tomato sauce everyone loves on that bread and cheese. The options will keep you on your toes for months, there is always a good slice to try, but my favorite is the pepperoni or the classic cheese. These classic New York style slices give me nostalgic pleasure. This place pumps out hundreds maybe 1,000+ pies a day, and runs like clockwork. A truly exceptional pizza spot with quality service, ovens, and ingredients. If you’re visiting NY it’s a must try, and is definitely in the top 5 pizzas of midtown.

Alright, I’m here, NY Pizza Suprema, right by Penn Station. Big hype spot. Awards everywhere. Ellis Island Museum, Fox News, CBS News, “History of Pizza” exhibit, only-by-the-slice honor, all that stuff. So expectations? Sky high. Dangerous game when you put that many trophies in the window.

Regular slice first. Good-looking slice. Nice undercarriage, zero flop. I respect that. You pick it up, it holds its own. That matters. Sauce is good, cheese is good, balance is good. But here’s the thing, the crust didn’t give me that crisp snap I was looking for. It’s firm, but not crisp. There’s a difference.

The upside-down Sicilian was also very good. Nice sauce hit, good bite, and that crust had more of the crispness I wanted.

But let’s call it like it is. With all the awards, all the hype, all the “must-try New York pizza” energy, I expected to get knocked over. I didn’t get knocked over. Very good pizza? Yes. Above average? Absolutely. Outstanding? Not for me.

Taglio on Long Island is still my number one. Suprema is good, but it didn’t dethrone the champ.

Final score: 4 stars.

Strong slice. Respectable. Worth trying if you’re near Penn. But with this much hardware in the window, I needed more.

I almost never go for a square slice but this Diavolo one was just calling to me so I got it and it was beautiful. Crust thick and soft but the edges were hella crunchy wow, and the flavor of it all was great.

The Burrata slice though, WOW this was like almost a perfect slice of pizza. The flavor was lowkey mind blowing i’m not sure if they add some sort of special seasoning or something but I just kept thinking like how does this taste like this. Only gripe is I wish the crust was firmer / crunchier.

This is the standard of a perfect NY CHEESE pizza slice and I’ve eaten here about 10 times before I felt comfortable saying a statement so bold. For sure the best slice I’ve had in the city and any slice I have after will be compared to this. I’ll update accordingly if I ever find a better place.

The pizza sauce is the highlight of the show. On top of the fact that the crust is sturdy and crispy, they also perfected the sauce to cheese ratio in every way possible. It’s so flavorful with a hint of basil that takes it to another level.

I’m ashamed to admit the name kept me away from here for a while. Anything “Suprema” I’ve had in the past was genuinely mid or below par. This place was the perfect way to tell me never to judge a book by its cover.

Had a fantastic couple of new york style deep pan vegan pizza slices. As a vegan you will not miss out on New york style pizza from this place, it was delicious! Not to mention its good value too.
From the looks of it they offer a few vegan styles on rotation, I'd recommend going early evening while vegan slices last.

NY Pizza Suprema right outside Madison Square Garden is an absolute go-to spot if you’re looking to grab a slice (or a few) at any time of day.

I had a layover at the train station nearby and knew I had to take advantage of being in NYC to get some quality pizza- and this place delivered.

At first, the slices might seem a little pricey, but once you see the size, it makes total sense. They’re huge, filling, and packed with flavor, making it well worth the cost.
The pizza itself was exactly what you want- classic, delicious New York-style slices done right.

What really stood out though was the staff. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and you could tell they genuinely care about the customers.

While I was sitting there, I noticed two young girls who were deaf, and the staff went out of their way to make sure they got their order correctly. Instead of just calling out slices, they personally brought the food over to them.
It was a small moment, but it said a lot about the kind of place this is and the people working there.
Overall, NY Pizza Suprema is more than just great pizza- it’s a spot with great people and a welcoming environment.
Definitely a must-visit if you’re near MSG. Highly recommend and would absolutely come back.

Great pizza served by friendly staff. The restaurant has a good amount of seating available to enjoy a slice. The NY style pizza was well made with great quality ingredients. The square pizza was also good with a lot of cheese. The only downside I have is that square pizza needs to heat longer to be properly warmed. I would happily return for a quick slice of NY pizza.

This is my second time here. I came from Costa Rica and had to come back to this place again. I stayed in NYC for two days and ended up eating here about 15 slices—no joke.

The pizza is amazing, the prices are perfect, and the experience feels real. What I love most is that it’s full of locals, not tourists. If you want authentic New York pizza, this is the spot.

A typical classic slice of NY pizza! Has the reheat flavor to it, sauce was very tomato forward, and honestly quite greasy. Overall basic, nothing crazy or worth extreme hype over. Pretty easy to get in and out of (on foot of course) and convenient. Prices are expensive depending what you get, however that’s typical for NY. We ordered a full pizza, but if wanting to try multiple pies or alone, by the slice may be smarter as they are large slices! Wouldn’t travel here only for the pizza, but would come by if I were in the area due to the convenience and speed.

Lovely experience, great ambience and close to Flix bus stop. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and really good ones too! The slice of the pizza is reallly filling and a great choice. Must have!
As they say, they only serve pizzas but are the best at this!
I liked the amount of veg options that you have.
Also have a bus in 40 mins so perfect spot to eat and wait!

Exactly what you expect but boy does the flavour deliver.

Had the classic pepperoni, white garlic and deep dish pepperoni (omg, so surprisingly good!)

Queued up for about 15 mins after a Knicks game and got a table. So worth it and want to return.

Thanks guys!

I was looking for some good New York pizza, and this place absolutely SLAPS! Very glad I found this place. There can be a long line, but it moves quickly. Also mind that seating can be limited and tables can be left dirty. However, everyone there was very friendly and had some nice accents.

Now onto the pizza itself: This is exactly what I’m looking for in New York. The dough was at a great texture, it can be greasy at times, but I absolutely love the sauce. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would come back again.

Suprema Pizza turned out to be a surprisingly great choice for my very first pizza in New York. Much better than expected, it set a strong first impression of New York–style pizza.

Prices vary by slice, but they’re around $7.75 each. The pizza follows an Italian-style approach with a thin crust that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

We ordered four slices in total: Suprema, Fig, Hot Buffalo, and Hot Honey, ranked in that order of preference.

The Suprema slice was the clear favorite. It’s a tomato-based pizza topped with vegetables, and the bell peppers were especially flavorful and memorable. The Fig slice was also delicious, with sweet fig jam complementing the cheese well, though the jam wasn’t spread evenly across the slice, which was a slight downside. The Hot Buffalo slice was spicy and savory, making it enjoyable, while the Hot Honey slice — topped with burrata and hot honey — lacked a strong impact compared to the others.

One thing to note: although they seem to normally accept cards, the card machine wasn’t working at the time, so they were only taking cash.

NY Pizza Suprema is one of those rare places that doesn’t just serve food — it serves memories. I still remember the first time I walked in, carried by the warm smell of fresh dough and melted cheese drifting out onto the street. It felt like stepping into a pocket of New York where time slows down just long enough for you to breathe.
I was tired that day — the kind of tired that settles deep in your bones after hours of rushing through the city. But the moment I stepped inside, something softened. The staff greeted me with that unmistakable New York mix of warmth and confidence, like they already knew I was about to have a great slice.
When I took my first bite, everything else faded away. The crust — perfectly crisp; the cheese — rich and comforting; the sauce — bright, warm, almost familiar. It tasted like care, like tradition, like someone put a little heart into it.
Sitting there with my slice, I felt a small moment of peace in a city that never stops moving. NY Pizza Suprema isn’t just a pizzeria — it’s a place where you feel grounded, welcomed, and reminded of how simple joys can turn a day around.
I’m genuinely grateful for every visit — for the flavor, the kindness, the feeling of home tucked inside a perfect New York slice.
