I've been visiting no pork halal Chinese restaurant since early 1990s (my polytechnic university days in downtown Brooklyn), and now i bring my wife and children here to try delicious food; specially general tso chicken This is the best halal Chinese restaurant in NYC! Recently moved to Dallas, but still come back!

We love a descriptive restaurant name. No Pork Halal Kitchen begs very few questions other than what type of food they *do* have. It's a pretty classic neighborhood Chinese takeout spot with lots of American Chinese options and fried foods. I got the string beans with garlic sauce and egg fried rice for $9.75. It was a generous sized portion for the price and the green beans had a nice level of spice. It's cash only so don't even think about writing a check.

I’ve had No Pork Halal Kitchen on my list foreverrrr, so since I was in Brooklyn and craving halal Chinese, I had to finally try it — and it definitely hit the spot.
First of all, the fried momos were SO good. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. Every bite was flavorful and fresh, not dry at all. You can tell they’re made right because the filling was seasoned really well and still moist. I could’ve easily ordered another plate.
The chicken eggroll came out hot and crispy, which I love. The wrapper had that perfect crunch and the inside was tasty and well-balanced — not greasy, just flavorful and comforting.
Now let’s talk about the hot chicken wings… easily my favorite thing I ordered. 🔥 They were crispy, saucy, and packed with flavor. The texture was perfect — crunchy outside, tender inside. Honestly, some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. Definitely something I would go back for again and again.
The chicken chow mein was decent, but it needed a little more flavor for me. It wasn’t bad at all — just could’ve used a bit more seasoning or sauce to really make it stand out compared to the other dishes.
Overall, I’m really glad I finally tried this spot. If you’re looking for halal Chinese in Brooklyn, this place is definitely worth checking out. The wings and momos alone make it a must-try. I’ll definitely be back to try more off the menu.

Never heard of a no pork Chinese restaurant in my life!
However, this place is a hidden gem to people outside of Brooklyn.
I ordered the chicken broccoli/garlic sauce with brown rice. Wow!
This spice was right on point. The chicken was very flavored & tender. The broccoli had that fresh pop/snap, yet flavorful. I also ordered a shrimp roll, also good, not great, but good.
The next night, I ordered the garlic fried chicken with brown rice and vegetables..
Another winner we got, I must admit. This was a total surprise. Service was friendly and quick, maybe 10-15min wait after ordering.
Will definitely order from here when in Brooklyn.. Stop in and see for yourself.

Over 1,000 reviews had me wanting to try No Pork Halal Kitchen AND DUDE the hype is real. It’s takeout only with no seating, but it’s right by a train station in Brooklyn so we took the train right back to our apt! Prices are AMAZING, portions are actually insane, and the food is so flavorful. We got the beef broccoli, salt and pepper shrimp, and the Malaysian fried rice and had zero leftovers. I will definitely be coming back!!

Take out only. The General Tsos chicken did not taste authentic. The prices are cheap for the combo meals. Fast service

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. The Asian lady had on full attire. She gave me a change back with a missing corner, and the other dollar was ripped in half. Other than the worst part yet to come, when I found a cockroach in my food. I had a simple sesame chicken dish and had to throw it away. I wish I had checked the food before I left, but it was too late by the time I got home. I can’t believe it when I took a few bites, it was moving in my food. Very disgusting and bad experience.

The food is mad delicioso. For my order I got general tso shrimp with fried rice, it was cooked to perfection and one serving was enough for me and my friend to share. Also the meal was worth the $16.75, no complaints from me! My Dad been taking me here for years 💯

To all my Muslim friends, THIS is the place to go for delicious halal Chinese food. I've been coming here for almost 6 years, and don't go anymore since I've moved. But I always make a stop whenever I'm in the city. The food here is always fresh, and I've tried most things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The staff are always very friendly and make sure the food arrives fast. I highly recommend the sesame chicken, especially when it's freshly made. The drinks are also a decent price unlike most restaurants, and their homemade hot oil sauce is absolutely delicious on literally anything on the menu. If you are in downtown Brooklyn and are hungry, do give this place a chance, you won't regret it. Also, the food is halal.

This place is an absolute gem, with unbeatable prices and delicious food that hits the spot every time.

I was surprised to find an Indian spicy chicken dish on the menu at this non-descript Chinese takeout shop. I ordered it on a whim, and I'm so glad I did! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. It was just the right amount of spicy, and the dish was well-balanced.

The spicy hot soup, in particular, is a must-try, with a fiery kick that warms you up from the inside out. The fried rice and lo mein are classic staples that never disappoint, and the portions are generous enough to feed even the heartiest appetites.

What really sets this place apart is the value - you can easily feed a family on a budget without sacrificing quality or flavor. If you're looking for tasty Chinese takeout that won't break the bank, this is the spot for you.

It is indeed a very busy place. I will highly recommend calling and putting your order beforehand. I have tried halal Chinese in multiple cities in the US and in Canada, and there is no doubt that their food was really good. Spices were very moderate, hot and sour soup was delicious. We tried sesame and Indian spicy chicken, besides beef broccoli, fried chicken, and Sechuan chicken. Highly recommended, prices are reasonable. Will definitely come here again.

if you are in Brooklyn this is a great spot for some good food. Never had anything like it. Trust me this is worth the drive. Despite no seating and the restaurant looking like a shack. The food is so valid it makes it all worth it! Highly recommend No Pork Halal Kitchen!
