Emma welcomed us with a warm accommodation. Alonzo took care of our food preferences & Luke’s hospitality & good service made our experience memorable. The food was truly a treat to the palate. Home-made aldente pasta & seafood was yum esp their Calamari. It’s as close as to being back to Italy. Will definitely go back over & over again when we're in the city.

We came to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. She is celiac and I am GF. Best meal we have had entire trip and reasonably priced! She had GF pasta and I had salmon. We split the ricotta cheesecake. GF focaccia was also amazing. Alonso was fantastic and knew all the GF options.
Response from the owner
Alicia,

Thank you so much for the 5-stars! Alonso is a favorite of our guests, we are so lucky to have him part of our team. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your recent visit and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
If you're looking for a fun little Italian trattoria for food and drink before a Broadway show look no further. We really enjoyed our time at Nizza. Luke, our waiter, was wonderful. Super attentive and everything you'd want in a waiter and more. Great wine selection -- food menu has a good mix of options and everything we had was great. I forgot to snap a photo but the burrata was excellent. Definitely would recommend and would come again.
Thank you to Anthony and Justin for taking such good care of us! This was my first visit, but my friend who brought me is a regular. And now I know why! Everything was lovely. The Espresso Martini is among the best in the city. The cacio e pepe and spicy rigatoni vodka were both excellent, as was the arancini. The only thing I regret is that we didn’t save room for dessert (this time…). The service from Anthony and Justin was spectacular. They made sure we had a great experience before a wonderful night out seeing “Titanique.” Thank you both, we will be back!
We ordered socca and a cup of the deliciously savory soup of the day. Very satisfying for a lighter lunch but couldn’t resist the Butternut Squash and Ricotta Ravioli. Beautiful al dente pillows of the delectable filling was served in a lovely brown butter and sage sauce. Truly delightful!
the service was impeccable! chef juan is awesome and knows what he’s doing in the kitchen, the food was delicious and the costumer service is amazing, they handle everything with so much care! the manager and casey, our waitress, was so attentive and took such good care of us. the food is so fresh and tastes incredible. the atmosphere in there is nice and moody, perfect for a dinner! it’s a near perfect restaurant
I've worked in the TImes Square/Hells Kitchen area since 2011. Over the years I've walked by Nizza countless times but never stopped in. My friend was visiting from out of town n I decided this would be the day we would go. I reserved a table online which was very quick & easy. Upon arrival, I was quickly seated. The restaurant was medium size but very cozy with tables and chairs or booths. The menu had lots to choose from. I decided om gnocchi and she decided on Cacio E Pepe. Both were decently portioned and not to heavy. Bianco della Casa for wine not too sweet but perfect. Gelato which was mixed with raspberry, mango. Absolute perfection. Service was great. Options was cleared explained n not rushed. All in All it was a great experience and I'm glad we came. N though its in the TS area, the pricing was reasonable. When we were leaving, almost every seat and booth was filled. I can see why. I'll definitely come by again to indulge in some pizza.
I tried their filet of Branzino alla Ligure ($29), seen only on their dinner menu, it was delicious. it comes with small tomatoes and fingerling potatoes. It was cooked in a way that the skin had a great amount of flavor. The pictures submitted by me here were taken at 4 in the afternoon, accounting for so many empty seats.
Days after the owner replied to the Branzino review seen above, I tried the restaurant again. That time, for lunch, I had their soup of the day which was bland. Then I had their salmon which was dry and not flavorful. On another occasion, for dinner, I had their meatball appetizer, which was mild in flavor. My main course was their pork shank which, not including accompanying food on the plate, had little flavor.

Justin held down the fort with incredible service even during the winter storm! 11/10 incredible food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend the piccante pizza and the spicy rigatoni. Top notch!
We loved Nizza when we went recently before seeing Little Shop of Horrors Off-Broadway at the West Side Theatre. Perfect location! The space is cozy and atmospheric - great ambient lighting, which is very important to me and my husband. The bread was fabulous, both the regular and the gluten-free! Cacio de Pepe with the addition of mushrooms, my favorite, was A+. We will definitely return here on a future visit to NYC!

Thank you for the 5-stars!

We love hearing about all the shows our guests are seeing, Broadway or off Broadway! We hope you decide to return before your next theatrical outing.
Amazing dinner! My server, Sebastian, gave a great recommendation to try the Lumache and it was delicious. Sebastian was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and provided extremely high-level service. The bread and olive oil provided with my meal was fresh and a perfect appetizer. The Lumache was served quickly. I had a latte to cap it off and also received some house made biscotti to accompany which was a perfect treat to close out. I believe Nizza is an incredible value and can’t wait to return!

Found this restaurant on Google. It was close to our hotel and I am so glad we had that chance to go. Justin was our bartender and server and the service was outstanding. He was very friendly and personable. When we told him that this was our first time visiting New York, he made recommendations on what to see. He was well educated with the food, and the drinks that pair well with it. Overall 10/10 experience. My partner picked the special of the day which was a shrimp pasta and I got the vodka rigatoni pasta and both were excellent. The drinks were perfect. They do indeed have the best espresso martini that I have ever had.
Response from the owner
Thank you so much, Sarah! We're thrilled to hear your first visit to New York included such a great experience with us. Justin will be delighted to know his service and recommendations made an impact. We're also glad you enjoyed the pasta, cocktails, and espresso martini. We hope to welcome you back the next time you're in the city!
I've eaten at Nizza twice recently, and had wonderful experiences both times. I have celiac disease, and the staff were wonderful in answering my questions. They confirmed for me that they have dedicated water for the gluten free pasta and dedicated pans for the gluten free pizza.

Their gluten free table bread is solid. It does have the more crumbly GF texture, alas, but the flavor is great. I think their GF pizza crust has a wonderful texture though. I have also had their GF pasta, specifically the cacio e pepe, and it was DELICIOUS. You'd never know it was GF. The texture and flavor were spot on. My non-celiac dining partners also enjoyed their gluten filled meals!

If you are a celiac attending a Broadway show, Nizza is such a great option, given the robustness of their GF menu and their proximity to so many theaters.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Nizza for some more yummy gluten-free yummy dishes in the future!

Best regards,
Team Nizza.
I really enjoyed the burrata & bruschetta mix and especially the Bianca pizza. The pizza had a strong garlic flavor which I enjoyed and the Calabrian chilis added a nice kick that made it 10/10. I really enjoyed the homemade rigatoni as well, but it could have been just a tad spicier as per advertised on the menu.
Response from the owner
Christopher,

We always appreciate when people love our hand-crafted pizzas! We love the Bianca Pizza so much as well! Thank you for the feedback about the Rigatoni. We are always looking for ways to improve our dishes, so that means a lot to us. We look forward to welcoming you back for another "spicy" evening at Nizza!
We had a great dinner at Nizza.
For starter we had the Arancini which was nice but came with a spicy sauce that didn't compliment the arenchini.
We also had the buffalo salad which was fresh and good with a nice touch of grilled figs, the salad was quite small.

The gnocchi got a nice touch in the oven, was in the perfect texture and was with a tasty sauce.

Tagliatelle flat iron was delicious and came with a crispy and tender polenta sticks and with broccoli.

The service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant have a nice atmosphere.
Response from the owner
