Nice Matin

We rarely go into the city, but we were meeting relatives for lunch. The food was really delicious here, and the service was great, too.<br>We had a nice private table, although most tables were not private. It was a little noisy, but overall not too loud to talk.<br>Highly recommend if you like a sophisticated lunch.

Best breakfast ever? Bar seats with the view of oranges being squeezed, espresso being pulled, and gorgeous mugs of hot chocolate being crafted… heaven.<br><br>Started with a generously stocked pastry basket at only $15, followed by two delicious main dishes which were well priced and well portioned. Excellent service and beautiful atmosphere.

Charming, delicious, nice. I first learned about this place when I stayed at the hotel Lucerne, where it’s located. Me and my daughters always had a delicious meal here. And today I stopped by for breakfast - healthy and yummy and cozy. I think it’s worth giving a try. I like spots for breakfasts that are not on the go, but that are offering nice ambiance in addition to the food.

I have been visiting here since they open, not just because I live in the UWS but because of the people, upscale, and the atmosphere, loud yet relaxed, what makes this place a must. It is such a lovely spot for Brunch or for dinner with friends and family or an intimate evening. The attentive and friendly service is always spot on.<br><br>The Food:<br>The restaurant features a variety of breakfast options like omelets and French toast as well as the usual Brunch drink. The portions are generous, with fresh ingredients, and well-prepared dishes. The cuisine is provençal/Niçoise (South of France). We had the “Gruyère Omelette,” the “Vanilla Malt Waffle. Both were delicious. We also had an American Roast Drip Coffee.<br><br>When in the area or if you are looking to spend, either a nice weekend (Brunch) or a beautiful evening, please check out this place. Our party of four had a reservation for Sunday afternoon brunch. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Each of the meals, beverages, and desserts was beautifully presented and delicious. Service by Amanda and the rest of the staff was prompt and attentive but unobtrusive. Although the restaurant was busy, we were never neglected or rushed. Atmosphere has elegant touches, yet is casual and relaxing. A memorable experience that we look forward to doing again.

Stopped by for Sunday brunch since we’re always looking for new brunch spots. The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly and attentive.<br>My friend had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was okay. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, but the flavors felt a bit mild.<br>We also had a couple glasses of French wine with our meal.<br>Overall, the portions felt a bit small for the price. It was a pleasant experience, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to our usual brunch spots. I’d rate the brunch around 3.8, so rounding up to 4 stars. We might come back to try the lunch or dinner menu.

Service was excellent all around and the staff was very attentive. I enjoyed the cocktails prepared by Andrew with my favorite being the Upper West whiskey sour. I appreciated that the aperitifs were well described; as I had an allergy to an ingredient, they had no issue swapping it out. I also loved that they had fresh flowers.

Our waiter was Enrique and he was beyond fantastic. Kind, funny, and knowledgeable about the menu! The food was incredible, ingredients very fresh and the presentation was beautiful! Everyone was quite professional, I highly recommend! We will be returning every time we come to the city and looking to be in Enrique’s section!

Nice Matin is the perfect brunch spot on a lovely weekend morning or if you’re in the area and need a quick iced coffee - one of the best I’ve ever had in my life (and do not take this statement lightly, as I am a coffee FANATIC!). Service was absolutely amazing. Sat at the bar and was served by Andrew and Fernando - the liveliest & kindest service you could ever hope to receive! Got a freshly squeezed orange juice and a goat cheese omelet. Salmon pancake is the best thing on the menu, and it absolutely slaps!!!!! Such a lovely spot, with great ambience. You must try! Great date spot as well.

Came for lunch and left very happy. Baked goods basket was excellent. Really liked the muffin and croissant. Flaky and warm and fresh. Niçoise salad was very aesthetic, tuna nicely seared and vinegary. The sardines are quite salty here! The pan bagnat was fishu and good. Enjoyed all the flavors in the sandwich. Fries were crisp and perfect. Cappuccino was a bit pricey especially with refills!<br><br>Also service here was top notch. It’s a small space, but we were seated quickly and taken care of. There’s also coat check!

We chose this place for a weekend brunch due to it’s close proximity to the Beacon Theater. We were looking for a casual French bistro. What we got was so much more. Elegant, welcoming, beautifully decorated. The meal more than exceeded our expectations. We loved everything, from the amazing salad down to perfectly crisp frites accompanying the angus hanger steak with peppercorn sauce. Our server Amanda was attentive without being overbearing. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Everything was simply phenomenal. The cuisine, with its clear French influence, exceeded all my expectations. I had the best escargots I’ve ever tasted an absolute delight. The steak was incredible, perfectly cooked, and the salmon with quinoa is one of those dishes you absolutely shouldn’t miss. And the desserts… wow! The crème brûlée was the perfect finish truly outstanding.<br><br>They also offer a great selection of wines and excellent cocktails. I highly recommend starting your dinner with a Smoky Paloma or a Passion Fruit Margarita, both perfect to set the tone for the night.<br>A place I’ll definitely keep coming back to.

Our server, Amanda, was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the evening.<br>The duck leg I ordered was fantastically delicious - perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. We ordered the French toast and the avocado omelette. Both were very good. French toast wasn’t too sweet, it was just right. Omelette was delicious. Portions were bigger than expected so that was a plus. Hot coffee was good, we asked for honey on the side to sweeten it up as they don’t have any syrups.
