The room pictures on the website are a bit deceiving. I think the hotel may be actively working on updating them, but ours was not. The tub was slow to drain and had someone else's hair in. Luckily, I had my own lysol wipes to disinfect it before giving my kids a bath. Elevators are always crowded and took forever. Figured out that only 4 of of the 6 were operational. Gave 3 stars because the staff was amazing and the room was mostly clean. Great location in the city.

Response from the owner

Dear Laenya,
Thank you for staying with us during your travels and for your positive words about our team and central location. For a “4 stars” hotel, it is really under average in terms of room quality and Service. I could hear everything in the rooms next to mine, they didn’t change the towels or added fresh ones, the rooms are old, and the staff not really friendly. In that price range I’ll recommend the Marriott marquis where the experience is way better.

Response from the owner

Dear Pierre-Alexandre,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear your stay didn't meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it can be when the overall experience does not align with the standards expected for the price point and hotel category. Your comments have been shared with management for review. We appreciate your honest feedback and regret that your experience fell short of expectations.

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

The hotel is incredibly well-located, just a few blocks away from Central Park. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The property is overcrowded, and the elevators are incredibly slow and always packed.

The rooms feel outdated, and the staff was quite rude during our stay. During our stay, there was quite a lot of noise - it felt like our room was located above a night club.

To top it off, it’s unacceptable to be charged a $5 fee per piece of luggage for post-checkout storage, especially after spending hundreds of dollars on the room. I expected much better value and service for the price.

Response from the owner

Dear Frank,
Thank you for sharing your review and constructive feedback. While our convenient Midtown location near Central Park is certainly a highlight for many guests, we are sorry for the delay with our elevators and your other concerns. We are always appreciative of insights like this, and your valuable comments will be used to help us continually improve. Providing friendly service is essential, and rest assured, our team will be reminded of the importance of delivering welcoming hospitality. Please consider giving us a chance to change your perceptions.

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Hilton Midtown. The wait for the elevators was consistently about 15 minutes going both up or down. The website had boasted 6 available elevators but only two were working for the three days we were there. Our room was freezing and several hours after adjusting the temp nothing had changed. The front desk said they would have someone fix our heating/cooling system but no one did. When we spoke with the front desk and they said that guests have no control over the hearing cooling (even though there are what look like systems in each room). They offered to send us blankets (it was 1pm and we weren’t going to sleep). Also, no one ever brought blankets. Our bathroom was not clean, the wallpaper was yellow and peeling. Our sheets were ripped. On our third night after waiting for 15 minutes to ride in the elevator our room keys didn’t work. Very frustrated and unhappy with Hilton.

Response from the owner

Dear Rochelle,
We're deeply disappointed by the experience you described. This is not the care and attentiveness we wish for our guests to experience, and rest assured, we will look into your comments further to ensure a stay that our guests can be proud of. We strive to provide a relaxing and worry-free stay for our guests, and we apologize for any inconvenience regarding our elevators and the AC. That said, thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope you will allow us the chance to elevate your perceptions in the future.

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

This is the perfect location in NYC! The hotel is extremely busy and I’ll need to allow more time to take the elevator. Ivanna and Sharon both helped us during a very busy time and made sure we were taken care of and their kindness did not go unnoticed. They added a bright spot to our day!

Response from the owner

Dear Susie,
It was a pleasure to host you at New York Hilton Midtown. Thank you for taking a moment to compliment Ivanna and Sharon for their helpful service, and we know they will be delighted to hear they made your day better. Although we're sorry for any delay with the elevator, it's terrific that you appreciated our prime Midtown location near Rockefeller Center and world-famous attractions. With close proximity to multiple subway and rail lines, our guests can easily navigate around our city. Safe travels, and come back soon!

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

I had an extremely frustrating experience staying at this Hilton hotel midtown in NYC.
At check-in, the staff member immediately asked for a huge amount for security calling it a part of process, before even bothering to check our passports or verify any details. A few minutes later, he came back and admitted that the charge was meant for someone else’s expenses. Completely unprofessional and careless.
The elevator service was another disaster. The lifts are far too less and small for the number of guests, and the waiting times are ridiculous. Every trip up or down felt like a nightmare because of the endless queues.
To make things worse, when we finally got to our room, the key card didn’t even work. We had to go all the way back down again using those painfully slow elevators just to report the issue. The front desk said security would come to help, but after waiting more than 30 minutes, nobody showed up.
Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. Poor organization, incompetent service, and a complete lack of urgency or professionalism. Definitely not the level of service expected from a Hilton hotel.

Response from the owner

Dear Ananya,
Thank you for leaving a review. We're sorry to learn about your experience with us, and we understand your disappointment. It must be frustrating to run into these disruptions, and we'll be sure your comments are reviewed with the appropriate leadership at once. My stay at the New York Hilton Midtown was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, and every interaction with the staff reflected professionalism and genuine hospitality. The housekeeping team in particular went above and beyond to ensure a welcoming and relaxing experience.

One person who truly made a lasting impression was Ms. Khadijah LeBron. Although she is part of the housekeeping team, she carried herself with the level of care, excellence, and leadership you would expect from the CEO of the property. She was kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and incredibly customer experience centric. Ms. LeBron made me feel seen, valued, and appreciated as a guest, and her warmth elevated my entire stay.

In a city and hotel environment that can often feel fast-paced and transactional, she created a personal and memorable experience that stood out in the best way possible. It’s rare to encounter someone who brings that level of intentionality and heart to their work.

I had a wonderful experience overall and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Ms. Khadijah LeBron, for making my visit such a positive one.

Response from the owner

Dear Robert,
Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted that you enjoyed our clean atmosphere, and we'll make sure to share your compliments with Khadijah. She'll be delighted that she made such a positive impression on you. Your positive feedback means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back to New York Hilton Midtown for another wonderful stay in the future.

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

Our stay was overall pleasant. The hotel was affordable and in a great location, which made getting around very convenient. The staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay. When we first entered our room, there was a noticeable odor and hair shavings visible in the tub. However, the front desk handled the issue professionally and quickly moved us to another room without any problems. They also provided two $15 beverage coupons, which was a nice gesture.
One downside was that some of the hallways appeared outdated and not as well maintained as expected. It also seemed like certain areas, possibly floors associated with Hilton Honors members, appeared more updated and polished. The biggest issue during the stay was the elevator wait times, which were extremely long and definitely need improvement. Overall, despite a few issues, the customer service and location helped make the stay enjoyable.

Response from the owner

Dear Ja-Nene,
Thank you for sharing your review with us. It is wonderful that our fantastic location and great value made your trip more convenient and that our team helped create a welcoming atmosphere throughout your stay. At the same time, we regret that the initial room did not meet expectations upon arrival. Your observations regarding the condition of certain hallways and the extended elevator wait times are appreciated, as consistency across all areas of the property is important. These insights will be reviewed internally as we continue making improvements. We hope to have another chance to go above and beyond for you in the future.

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

Spent 6 nights at this Hilton Midtown New York. Check in was seamless with friendly front desk staff. Louis was very friendly. Our suite on the 42nd floor was very spacious with two bathrooms. Could use some updating but we were comfortable. Wonderful welcome gift and card from the General Manager, Ted Selogie. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to major attractions and restaurants, which made our stay convenient. Food and beverage manager, Dallas was amazing. Geneva in the lounge was amazing. If you are planning an event, the conference facilities cannot be beat. I would recommend this hotel and definitely plan to stay there next time I’m in NYC.

Response from the owner

Dear Lisa,
We are delighted that you had a fantastic experience at New York Hilton Midtown. Our prime location helps our guests to easily enjoy the wonders of NYC. Ted, Dallas, Geneva and the rest of our team take great care of our guests, and will appreciate your kind words. We recently stayed at the Hilton Midtown New York and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel's location is one of its biggest strengths. It's perfectly situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, making it walking distance to so many iconic spots – Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and Fifth Avenue shopping are all just a short stroll away. 7th Ave Subway is round the corner which you can transit almost anywhere.

Our room was an Urban Room, and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-appointed it was. While New York hotel rooms are notoriously small, this one felt bigger than most we've experienced in the city. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the room had a nice, contemporary feel without being cramped.

The only real downside we encountered was the elevators. During peak times (especially in the morning and evening), we often had to wait quite a while for a lift. It could get frustrating when you're in a rush or carrying bags, but this seems to be a common challenge in many large Midtown hotels.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the hotel facilities were well-maintained, however some places needed abit of TLC. If you're looking for a reliable Hilton in a prime Midtown location with comfortable rooms that punch above their size, this is a great choice. We'd happily stay here again on our next trip to New York.

Response from the owner

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review of your stay. We are delighted that our Midtown location made exploring nearby landmarks so convenient and that you found your room both comfortable and well-appointed. It is especially rewarding that the space felt generous by New York standards and that the bed and overall design contributed to a relaxing stay. We are also thrilled to know that our team’s friendly service and the overall reliability of the hotel left a strong impression. That said, we appreciate your comments regarding elevator wait times and areas that could benefit from additional attention. Take care, and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to New York.

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Giovanny Bernal for delivering a truly exceptional and memorable experience during my 50th birthday stay. The thoughtful room upgrade and late checkout were incredibly appreciated and made a real difference to our visit.

A special thank you as well to Rosa at the concierge desk for the lovely birthday surprise—it was a wonderful touch that did not go unnoticed.

I would also like to recognise the Sharon at the executive lounge desk, who was consistently polite, professional, and courteous throughout our stay. Her warm and welcoming manner really stood out.

The team’s attention to detail and commitment to excellent service made this a very special occasion, and they are a true credit to the hotel.

Location is also a big selling feature.

Response from the owner

Dear Jaggy,
First of all, Happy Belated Birthday! We are so honored to have been able to celebrate such a special day with you. Secondly, it truly warms our hearts to hear that Giovanny, Rosa, and Sharon's hospitality and kindness helped make this stay perfect for you. It is always our goal for our guests to feel welcomed, and we're happy to have delivered that experience for you. We hope to see you again next year for your 51st!

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

DIAMOND BEWARE. I've been to many Hilton properties across the globe staying nearly 100 nights a year and in most cases the properties (minus a few) are extremely welcoming to Hilton Diamond members. This is another one for the not so great list and is the first hotel I have been to that does not offer the my way credit benefit when they have an executive lounge. Check in after the lounge closes, leave before breakfast .... too bad. Despite the app pop up or what the 'benefits' button shows in the app if you look closely at the terms of the executive lounge access online (not the food and beverage credit) they don't have to offer it. Still, that is very hidden and again the ONLY hotel I've been to so far that doesn't offer it when they have a lounge. Talking to customer service there is a non-public "list" of such properties. For what should be a flagship property in New York, this will be a pass in the future given the other great hotels I've stayed at in the city. Rooms are actually good and the location is great if you have time to get around.

The elevators? Don't get me started on this one. I've been to hotels with more floors and more rooms and never had to wait on elevators like I did at this property. (even with service elevators available to guests) Tip ... ride the elevator up to go back down if you can.

Response from the owner

Dear Dan,
Thank you for your loyalty as a Diamond member and for sharing such a detailed account of your stay. While we are glad the rooms and our Midtown location worked well for you, we sincerely regret that our executive lounge policy and elevator wait times fell short of the standards you expect from a flagship property. We understand how frustrating it is when travel schedules don't align with lounge hours, and we appreciate you highlighting how this and the elevator delays impacted your visit. We hope to provide a much more seamless experience whenever you are back in New York!

Sincerely,

New York Hilton Midtown Team

NYCNH_FO@hilton.com

Hateful Company!!!!!
Stayed there multiple times and always had a won derail experience. Always booked directly with them in lieu of better pricing as those sites aren't upfront about what you may get. Anyhow the last time I stayed there they absolutely lied to me. The gym was closed and they never informed me of that when I booked. The I complained and said I would rather stay elsewhere they told me I would be charged for the full price even if I left. I stayed hoping it would unravel around. It did not. manager refused go speak with meshes employee made antisemitic remarks to me multiple times and I was over billed! Terrible customer service and disgusting lack of morals and principles. To this day no one has even reached out to apologize and Ive emailed and called corporate multiple times! Do not go there if you don't want to propogate hate!

They are conveniently located and they bank off of that

DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I was staying here for 4 nights with a group of friends across different rooms. The one I reserved was for a king sized bed. I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready, the front desk offered to put me in a room that was, which I accepted.

When I tried to go up to my room I found out about the elevator situation, for over 20 of the high rise floors they had a SINGLE functional elevator. I waited 10 minutes to go upstairs and find out the room was tiny, due to being cut in half by the stairwell, and was a smaller bed. So I take my bags and wait another 10 minutes to go back to the lobby and ask for a room that is similar to the one I booked, which was granted. (The staff was very nice and understanding throughout my stay, they were just restricted by the rules they had to follow)

Every time I had to go to or from the room it was at least a 5 minute wait and sometimes upwards of 15 minutes. Instead of exploring the city I was stuck waiting.

On the final day of my stay I found dried blood on the sheets, and went to clean off and ended up slipping due to the showers anti slip being half faded. I reported this to staff who apologized for the inconvenience and told me to wait in line at the front desk if I wanted to talk to someone.

After leaving a complaint form Hilton Security reached out to me and requested to know personal information including my social security number and employment information. I asked why they needed that when it’s completely irrelevant and they said ‘insurance reasons.’

Other minor issues included the thermostats not working, I was told by my friends who also stayed here theirs didn’t either and asked a housekeeper who told me none of them did.

Pictures are of the tub and the great “view” from the room.
Find any of the other hotels near by, this one is not worth the risk.

Response from the owner

Good evening, Patrick,

We apologize for the issues you encountered with your stay. Our management has reached out to you regarding your stay, and the security team does need information in order to file an insurance claim. It is your decision to submit the report or to not submit the report with our security team, but their process exists for a reason.

We appreciate all the feedback you have provided, and we do hope to welcome you back in the future so that we can make it right.

In service,
