Delicious food<br>We ordered<br>Uzbeki Bread -nice and soft<br>Samsa- crunchy outside, delicious meat filling on the inside<br>Cheburek - juicy on the inside and nice and crunchy on the outside<br>Morkovcha salad- nice and fresh<br>Cherry vareniki - delicious,reminded me of home<br>Chicken kabab- well seasoned and juicy<br>Veal liver kebab- melts in your mouth deliciousness<br>Beef kebab- well seasoned and juicy<br>Fries- nice and crispy<br>(I didn't take photos of the kebabs,we literally devoured them haha)<br>The meal was 10/10<br><br>The service was nicely paced and the staff are very nice.The pricing was very reasonable as well.<br>I would definitely recommend if you are in the area

We had a small banquet here and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and perfectly prepared for a banquet.<br>The food (salmon fillet, kebabs, and manti) was superb—fresh, full of authentic flavors, and cooked to perfection. Each dish was served hot and beautifully presented.<br>However, what really sets this place apart is the service. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, professional, and greeted everyone with a genuine, kind smile.<br>He explained the menu thoroughly from start to finish and made us feel appreciated throughout the evening. A huge thank you to Laziz and Cafe Nargis!!!

The food and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic, especially the “Scallops”– it was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor(chef’s special sauce). It was my first time trying “Scallops”, and it was on the waiter's recommendation!<br><br>A huge thank you to the waiter, Laziz, for his exceptional, friendly, and professional service. You made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in, ensuring every detail of our meal was perfect.<br>The Food:<br>The meal started with a vibrant trio of salads that set the bar incredibly high:<br>• The Beet Salad was earthy and perfectly seasoned.<br>• The Avocado Salad was remarkably fresh and creamy.<br>• The Fried Eggplant Salad was the standout—smoky, crispy, and bursting with flavor.<br>For the mains, the Potato with Mushrooms was the ultimate comfort dish, prepared with a rustic touch that felt like home. The Kebabs were succulent and charred to perfection, and the Cheburek was exactly how it should be: golden, flaky, and juicy on the inside.<br><br>Verdict: Exceptional food and even better service.

This was my first time visiting Nargis Cafe, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. If you are looking for authentic flavors and a cozy atmosphere, this is the spot.<br>Here is the breakdown of what made the meal so memorable:<br>• Manti: These were steamed to perfection. The dough was thin and delicate, while the filling was incredibly juicy and well-seasoned.<br>• Plov: This was the star of the show. It was phenomenal—perfectly fluffy rice with tender meat that just melted in my mouth.<br>• Uzbek Bread: You haven’t had bread until you’ve tried this. It’s on an entirely different level—warm, dense, and better than any standard loaf.<br>• Compot: To wash it all down, the compot was something truly special. It had that perfect, refreshing homemade taste that you just can't find in a bottle.<br>Everything was excellent from start to finish.<br>The highlight of the night, however, was the service. A huge shout out to Laziz. He wasn’t just a server; he acted more like a personal nutritionist. He took the time to explain all the ingredients on the menu, which completely made my day.<br>What really impressed me was his integrity. Instead of trying to upsell me or push items just to make the bill higher, he genuinely prioritized my health and suggested what would be best for me. It is rare to find that level of care and honesty in a restaurant.<br>If you visit, definitely ask for Laziz—he truly understands health benefits and takes incredible care of his guests.<br>I’ll definitely be coming back for a second round!

Had takeout and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. It was packaged compactly and neatly. They also provided utensils without having to ask for it - nowadays you have to ask for utensils, and of course the food was flavorful and delicious. The lamb kebabs were juicy and tender. The chicken tabaka was perfectly cooked with robust garlic and dill flavors 😋 10/10 would totally recommend!

Restaurant has a nice interior. Jazz music is calming. ***NO WiFi ***<br>I had no reception and it said WiFi available for guests. We tried to connect from 3 different phones no success. After speaking with waiters they said WiFi was out for weeks and issue wasn’t fixed and they don’t know when they will.<br>Food was a surprise in a few ways.<br>Skirt steak salad looked nice. Yet the steak was cold<br>Khutabs- were nice , yet very lightly filled with meat<br>Shurpa Soup was nice - yet too many bones.<br>French fries were very nice and tasty.<br><br>So here is what blew my mind - service.<br><br>There was 2 adults and 11 year old kid. The food was serviced one plate at a time. So one person was eating the other 2 were. Watching. Of all items ordered. French fries that were ordered were brought out last for a child.<br>Break between each dish was about 5-10 minutes.<br>Completely ridiculous. And with no wi fi - not even entertainment for the child.<br>Also when asked for an extra piece of bread for soup we were told NO and they wanted us to order a whole bread.<br>Plates and finished dishes were on the table almost till very end.<br><br>In summary - order out yes, dine in no.<br>Kebab - yes.<br>Fries - yes.<br>Rest. - no.

The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere felt so inviting — cozy yet vibrant. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or a night out with friends, Nargis never disappoints. Definitely one of Brooklyn’s gems!

Nargis Cafe is our absolute favorite restaurant! My boyfriend and I go there all the time — for lunch or dinner, almost every week. We’ve never found a better place than this one! The food is always fresh, delicious, and served in big portions. Everything tastes amazing — you can really feel the quality in every dish.<br><br>The service is excellent too. Everyone is so friendly and respectful. During Ramadan, they even asked if we were fasting and kindly brought us dates and water as a compliment — such a thoughtful gesture! When it was time to eat, they brought our food right away.<br><br>What’s also great is the variety — it’s not only food from Muslim countries like Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, but also Russian and Ukrainian dishes. There’s something for everyone, so you can always find something you’ll love.<br><br>The atmosphere is cozy, the food is perfect, and the whole experience is always wonderful. Nargis Cafe truly feels like our go-to spot. Highly recommend! ❤️

This was our first time eating at Nargis and what a pleasant experience it was! We’ve had Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, & Turkish food many times in the past but this is the first time we had Uzbek cuisine. There are some similarities or cross influences I assume, but the food was unique & delicious in its own rights. We had lunch & loved the food (see pictures of what we had & descriptions) we ordered and would definitely come back for more! The atmosphere & ambience was beautiful & clean. The service was very good—the staff were polite & helpful. No complaints overall. Only reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars were minor—our water glasses were not refilled & staff didn’t come by to check if anything was needed as hoped. Something minor but could be improved to make an excellent overall experience.
