The food was absolutely excellent, incredible products and fresh, homemade pasta. The service was overall okay but we were rushed through dinner, with our mains brought not even seconds after our antipasti was finished. We are not in a fast food! Dinner was over in under an hour, not necessarily the experience we are looking for, especially with the restaurant being far from full… but overall very good food!!

I've been coming to Morandi since 2007, which means I've personally watched this place outlive multiple iPhones, several of my own questionable froyos, and at least three diets I swore I'd stick to. Loyalty? I practically have a mortgage on the back corner table..<br>But last night deserves its own paragraph, because last night was a moment.<br>Enter Grace. Our server. A woman of impossible grace (yes, I went there, no I'm not sorry). Attentive, charming, smooth as the burrata. Water glasses never hit empty. Timing? Impeccable. I assumed she'd been doing this for a decade. Then the plot twist of the century: it was her FIRST NIGHT. Her debut. Opening night. And she handled it like a seasoned Broadway veteran who's done 500 shows.<br>Meanwhile I, a human who has eaten here for 18 years, still occasionally forget how to pronounce "cacio e pepe."<br>Keith, my friend, you have an eye for talent. Whatever your hiring process is — keep doing it. You found a gem on night one.<br>Grace, best of luck out there. Keep up the phenomenal work. You crushed it. The rest of us are just trying to keep up.<br>Still the best spot in the West Village. See you all next week. And the week after. Forever, probably.

The experience was great, there are so many hosts there, some male host are better than female host at the front. But they all have good customer service. Food was delicious and my favorite place to meet everyone in town. Literally you’ll see everyone if you go on Saturday night.

Great dinner at Morandi! Highly recommend going to morandi and getting the ravioli. Homemade pasta with a fantastic lemon flavor. Easy to get seating and nice outdoor seating setup. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Free bread was really good too. Will come back!

I was waiting for a long time, and finally, we met this place with my friends!<br>There was a 1-hour wait list for outside, and we decided to be in as walk-ins. We didn’t regret it!!<br>The food was exceptional, and the ambience is charming!<br>We will definitely come back again.

The house bread was honestly one of the best parts of the meal fresh, warm, and incredibly satisfying. For mains, the Risotto ai Funghi and Margherita pizza are absolute must-tries. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor.<br><br>The service was attentive without being overwhelming, and the ambiance had that classic cozy Italian charm that makes you want to stay longer.<br><br>Overall, a fantastic spot for a relaxed and delicious Italian meal in NYC. Will definitely be coming back!

Had a really nice experience at Morandi. We celebrated a friends bday and had an amazing time. Tons of vegetarian options! Love the cozy interiors too!

I came here with my young son and had an excellent experience. The food (and wine) was excellent, and the management was very kind to my son and me. One of the men doing table service made sure we had bread and water at all times and packed up our pasta for us. Our server was also very kind, and she made sure everything was handled.<br><br>The atmosphere was great. It was very busy, but the staff were all kind and made it feel like everything was going perfectly. I felt at ease and at home.

I had dinner at Mordani on a Thursday night. The pasta Bolognese was delicious. The restaurant has a lovely rustic atmosphere with dimmed lights that create a cozy ambiance. It was a bit crowded, and it did get a little loud, making it hard to hear the person in front of me. The servers were decent, and while the drinks were good. Overall, I’d recommend giving Mordani a try!

Morandi is one of our favorite Village restaurants including on Sunday evenings for delicious homemade lasagna. The service is always top-notch and reserving the vongole during the reservation process ensures availability. Olivia was our server recently and she made our dinner experience the best! She was attentive without being disruptive and her suggestions for various courses and wines proved to be very favorable. The ambience is warm and inviting but can be somewhat noisy due to the popularity of this venue.

We went for brunch and loved the variety on the menu. Love the coffee as well. My friend is a regular and he has not come in a bit so he said the food quality has went down. The egg dishes are a bit lacklustre. Egg floating in salsa verde sort of vibe. But i liked what I ate. It is nothing special but gets the job done and has good service!

The food was very good but I really want to highlight the exceptional service. These people were ON TOP OF IT. Felt like we had an entire team of people taking care of just us. When I started dabbing water on a tiny spot of sauce I got on my shirt a guy that wasn’t even our waiter appeared immediately and offered soda water. Start to finish they were all awesome.

Was looking forward to returning to one of my favorite restaurants in NYC..... Last time we came here was in September 2009. This time, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the experience was much different. We arrived at 3:45 pm and immediately placed our order upon seating. Our waiter was pleasant and courteous, but somewhere along the line, dropped the ball completely when it came to common sense communication. While our appetizers and one entree arrived promptly, we had to ask a few different servers where the remaining entrees were almost 35 minutes later.... These other servers must have informed our waiter because he came over and told us it would "be another 2 minutes.". However, that was not the case.... The next entree came about 15 minutes later and then the final entree arrived about 45 minutes after we placed our order. Keep in mind this was on a late Saturday afternoon, when the restaurant was basically completely empty. When the last entree finally arrived, I had to ask our waiter what was the reason for this delay and he replied that it was due to "a change between the lunch crew and the dinner crew.'. That was a good reason, but why didn't he tell us that during the 45 minute wait? Lack of common sense .. He was smart enough to see that we didn't touch that last entree, so offered to remove from the bill, which we appreciated.... But the lack of communication dumbfounded us....2 stars for the food, which is still good, even after 16 years... Plus 1 star for the out-to-lunch waiter... Courteous, but no awareness of time. The service, or lack of communication, prevented this from a 5 star review.

In the realm of West Village Italian restaurants, Morandi has been a staple for many years. The atmosphere is quite charming, and the interior is classic wood and stone. The restaurant is quite large, with extra seating outdoors; that being said, you will need a reservation. The staff were always kind and efficient, and that being said, they never went out of their way for anything.<br><br>The food is quite good. I’ve tried a few different dishes. The focaccia bread is more of a flatbread; I don’t know why they would take all of the air out. The pastas were delicious and I recommend trying those. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the food here.
