Delicious gluten free bagel, I got an everything bagel with lox and tofu cream cheese. Was skeptical about tofu cream cheese but you can’t tell at all! Coffee was sadly bitter.

Absolute gem on the Upper West Side! Huge gluten-free selection, everything is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in. A must-visit!

We visited on a Sunday near lunchtime, when there were peak crowds and the line was nearly out the door. It was worth the wait - this was the best gluten free (GF) bagel I have ever had.<br><br>My non-GF partner was also impressed by the freshness, taste, and overall amazingness of our bagels. As a celiac, it was a such a gift to visit a bakery and not worry about cross-contamination at all. We visited the Upper West Side location on Sunday, and the Upper East Side location on Monday (much smaller). Will definitely return when we are back in NYC!

Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I felt safe eating here with celiac disease- which is not often. Everything was delicious and well-executed!

An amazing selection if you're looking for gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan. A big selection of delicious fresh baked goods, bagels, sandwiches, pasties, and coffee. I love the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and their chocolate cupcakes. The friendly staff moves the line along well.

My wife and I visited NYC for our 2nd time and we had to make a stop by Modern Bread and Bagel. They are top notch for gluten free bagels and more. Their menu is, also, great for other food allergies. Their bagels are delicious however you want to make them up, their salads are amazing, and you can have all the best sweat treats with their various bake goods. We had the everything bagel with Salmon and all the toppings, their monthly special bagel with salmon and avocado, and pumpkin and chocolate dessert bread. This location is convenient to Central Park and the Natural History Museum. Their staff is very friendly and service is quick.

The best ***gluten free*** bagel you will find. Genuinely hold their own against gluten full options. Great people doing great things for those looking for their GF treats! Thanks!

Long time customer, but, today stopped in to pick up bagels for my husband and myself. Decided to order French toast sticks as well. When they took longer than expected, the manager asked what pastries I’d like for free. Then, remade the bagels when the toast sticks came out and comped the entire order. It hadn’t even been that long! They really didn’t have to do that. But, what a lovely gesture. The whole team there is wonderful and really cares about the customer. Will definitely be back soon again and again.

This is the best GF bagels I have ever had! Ate an amazing bagel on lox for the first time in a dozen years. Approved GF bagels from my celiac 5 year old. Sandwiches were devoured and loved by my non GF family. I cannot recommend this place enough!! Staff was efficient, kind, and friendly! Absolute MUST go!! Sweet tooth? Get the donuts!

In all seriousness, I had to hold back tears because my bacon, egg, and cheese bagel was THAT GOOD! Absolutely mind-blowing amazingness... and those who know me will tell you I am one of the toughest critics. We WILL be back! Thank MBB!!!!

The bagel was very good! I had one with smoked salmon and the salmon tasted very fresh. It was a bit expensive but, I was full after one so definitely worth it. The location right near Central Park is also nice. But the inside of the store was a bit lackluster with no real seating options. They had a lot of bagels to choose from and the service was also friendly!

we just left this modern location and feel so positively that i’m immediately writing a review lol. every aspect was great. off the bat- as someone with celiac & also nut allergies this place gave complete peace of mind. totally gluten and nut free! and despite that, the food was still amazing. my boyfriend who is not celiac said the food tasted almost identical to not gluten free food. plus aside from that this location itself was great. beautiful, clean and spacious. plus the staff at this location were awesome. these are things we believe the other locations lack so if choosing between which to go to- definitely come here!!

Great gluten free bagel sandwiches! Staff is friendly and efficient. Space is small but nice. Some of the bagels can get messy but they are delicious.

The staff is incredibly friendly and always use your name adding to the experience. It is amazing to enjoy such well crafted gluten-free bagels. The spreads and toppings are fresh and delicious. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh baked goods.
