The wait staff was very attentive while not being overbearing which was appreciative. Everything we ordered was a hit, from the artisan cocktails of smoky Japanese whisky to muddled melon and vodka invoked creativity. The ceviche danced on palates, leaving remnants of salts, citrus, and fruit flavors to play in the mouth. The atmosphere was toned with eclectic musical vibrations accompanying each dish while the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and patrons remained bold and vibrant. I will surely return!

Response from the owner

Incredible flavors… really unique fusion of styles. Absolutely loved the ceviche, acevichdo rolls, seafood mixto… server Mathi was friendly and prompt. I honestly have not had a meal this satisfying… well in a long time. Honestly. What a gem.

Had the pleasure of dining at Mission Ceviche Upper East Side and truly enjoyed the authenticity of this place. Funny enough, both of my visits happened by accident, and both turned out to be amazing experiences! The freshness and flavors of every dish were outstanding and kept me coming back for more.

A special thank you to Scarlett, who was absolutely delightful and incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu and drink options. Her recommendations and warm service made the experience even better. I truly enjoyed every bite and sip and can’t wait to come back again!

Most of the food here was absolutely delicious. The best part was that nothing was overly salty—everything was seasoned perfectly, which is rare to find. The only exception was the Arroz Con Mariscos; it was pretty uninspiring and had nothing memorable about it. However, the rest of the meal completely made up for it. Definitely worth a visit!

Response from the owner

Hey June!

Thank you so much for this! We're so glad the seasoning hit just right across the board. We hear you on the Arroz Con Mariscos and we're on it! Can't wait to wow you with it next time.

The Mission Ceviche Upper East Side Team

I went a few days ago, and the experience was great! It was hard to decide between all the delicious dishes on the menu, but once we finally chose… oh wowwww, everything was amazing.

We started with the watermelon and goat cheese salad, then shared the Mission Burger and the fish and chips sandwich. To finish, we had the Tres Leches cake. We ate a lot, but we left very happy!

Response from the owner

Hey there!

What a spread you had! From that watermelon salad to the Tres Leches, you did it right. So happy you left full and smiling!

Come back soon!

The Mission Ceviche Upper East Side Team

Wonderful service and flavors. The cevice and branzino were excellent. The shrimp curry dish was a bit too rich but everything was tasty and exciting. Beautiful presentation as well. Great hospitality and friendly staff. Would just prefer less of the Palo Santo fragrance/ inscence in the dining room. While I understand its authenticity, and at times used it at home myself, it was a bit overwhelming while eating.

Response from the owner

Excellent experience. We love the atmosphere and the vibe, the food portions were perfect for us… The drink menu was way above average with the Pisco Sours being exceptional. Classic ceviche was the highlight of the night. Recommended!

WOW WOW WOW ! my first time wandering in Manhattan and I happen to wander right into this little ceviche bar, and I have to say this place left a mark on me in the best way! The ceviche was so fresh and delicious that I will definitely be coming back for more! I also got sweet plantains with a mix of Parmesan and goat cheese on top and they literally just melt in your mouth to the point where you may not even need a dessert! But obviously, I did get a dessert and I got the thres leche And it literally made my night! But on top of that, my server Who goes by Scarlet Was super attentive and made sure that I was taken care of the entire visit. She deserves a raise! I cannot wait for my next meal here at Mission ceviche!

Response from the owner

This place was INCREDIBLE! We went here to celebrate me getting a new job, and decided to get the 6-course chef’s tasting menu and it was out of this world. Every dish and cocktail had us dying for more, and the service was so friendly and attentive and put on shows for several of the dishes, including the flambéed salmon seen in the photos I shared. Special shout out to our waiter Mathi for the amazing service he gave us, and always explaining every dish to us. Go get a Pisco Sour!

Response from the owner

Hey Joe,

Congrats on the new job! What a way to celebrate! We're so happy the tasting menu and cocktails made the night special. Mathi will be over the moon hearing this. See you soon!

The Mission Ceviche Upper East Side Team

We had Traditional & Nikkei Tuna Ceviches and Lomo Saltado. We loved them. Ceviche had slight twist of modern taste and preserved original savor. Our server Gio was great!

My wife and I had a phenomenal experience at Mission Ceviche UES. We tried the $75 six course chef’s tasting menu and it did not disappoint. We would recommend swapping out the arroz con mariscos for the lomo saltado for the $15 upcharge. Luis our server was great. He was knowledgeable and described each course with passion Ang fervor. We would definitely recommend to everyone as this is one of the premier Peruvian restaurants in NYC.

Response from the owner

Hey Constantine,

Thanks a bunch for your warm words! We're so happy Luis made your evening special and that you enjoyed the chef's tasting journey. Your swap tip is a great heads-up for fellow guests! Hope to see you both again soon.

The Mission Ceviche Upper East Side Team

I went with a couple of friends and we had an amazing experience. The chicharrón with bread was the best I have ever had, even better than what I tried in Peru. Then we ordered the lomo saltado and it was incredible, super tender and full of flavor. We finished with lúcuma ice cream which is so hard to find outside Peru and it was delicious. The only thing that could be improved is the chicha morada. The décor is beautiful, everything feels very well done, and the service was great. Highly recommend it.

Response from the owner

Hey Reggie,

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the chicharrón, lomo saltado, and the lúcuma ice cream. Great restaurant option for a date as it’s a very nice location with a good atmosphere. I first and foremost wanted to recognize how attentive and friendly our server Mathi and the staff were. Mathi was truly outstanding with his recommendations.

In terms of the food, please do yourself a favor if you like seafood and order the market oysters as they’re extremely fresh and delicious. The jalea was also very good and fried just the right amount. If you’re Peruvian just like me, you might think the portion is small compared to other Peruvian restaurants but the quality definitely made it worth it for me. We also had the ceviche platter and although the other fusionend ceviches were also good the classic ceviche was delicious and so good, I would’ve gotten a second order of it if I would’ve had the stomach for it. Overall, great food, service, and atmosphere. Looking forward to going back in the future.

Response from the owner

Hey Andre,

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the attentive service from Mathi and our delicious offerings. We can't wait to have you back for another wonderful time with us!

The Mission Ceviche Upper East Side Team

This is my second time coming to Mision Ceviche. I wanted to have a pleasant lunch with my partner and this restaurant just exceeded my expectations. We order the a ceviche Nikkei and a mix ceviche that was just amazing, no wonder why they have Michelin stars. The acevichado roll was a perfect mixed between Peruvian and Japanese food. I’m Peruvian and this food made me really happy because it’s hard to find a good restaurant that can accomplish the exact Peruvian taste. We had also the Machu Pichu and the grown up raspadillas drinks and they were really refreshing, the right amount of alcohol and also the Bartender Brandon made sure to make them look nice and tasty, they had a good balance of freshness and taste. But also a heads up for our server Gio that made sure that he has our food on time and with a nice smile server us the entire meal. We will definitely make this place our regular restaurant to have dinner or lunch. ❤️

Response from the owner

Hey Xiomara,

Thank you for your wonderful words! We're so happy our flavors brought you joy. It’s fantastic to hear you loved our ceviche and drinks. Gio and Brandon will be thrilled to hear your praises. We can’t wait to welcome you both back!

The Mission Ceviche Upper East Side Team
