Mama's Empanadas

I've been getting food from here for over 6 years and it's easily one of the best places to get empanadas!<br>They are very generous with the proteins, the empanadas are fully stuffed, and delicious. They have about 50 different options to choose from and they do not disappoint. All the sauces are really good as well.

I have been coming here since at least 2009. The food is always prepared fresh and made to order hence the long wait times. I have dined in, taken out and ordered via UberEats for delivery as I live a few towns over. I have never encountered rude staff or an attitude of any sort at this location, even over the phone. The location across from QCM however is a different story and leaves a lot to be desired as far as courtesy and service. That being said, I absolutely love the variety of empanadas, the chicken platters, the availability of Columbiana, the aji and pink sauces here and will continue to be a customer for many years to come!

Dont order during busy times. Horrible service and unrealistic expectation. Ofdered at 227pm and im still here waiting an hoyr latwr for 6 empanadas. Not one im sorry or any empathy. HORRIBLE

Been coming here for years and I guess I got lucky that I didn’t get rude customer service 😂. They’re always changing staff so that could be it too, never consistent here. I ordered the cheesesteak and Hawaiian empanadas- absolute bomb. Those are the best ones on the menu. I called ahead for my order and it was done on time. Be advised that they charge more if you pay with debit. Aka bring cash.

The food is good, however, the staff is rude beyond belief. Which makes the food atrocious. I don’t ever want to eat there again. I don’t know what happened to them, but they need new staff ASAP. I do not want to get mistreated when I’m spending my money there.

The empanadas are fire. The Mami’s empanada is my new favorite. But try the grilled chicken plate with rice and black beans. It’s enough to feed two people and the flavor is amazing.<br>Weird how so many folks put negative reviews based on uber delivery or other delivery services. This is not the fault of the restaurant, let’s be fair.

Delicious. Pernil empanada was delicious. Right amount of saltiness you want in pernil but still juicy. A 10/10. The green sauce exceeded my expectations. Price was reasonable as well.

I have been coming here for over 10 years I went away for less then a year and they have a new worker that is so rude I saw her on Saturday was so rude and now today they have to close on a Sunday at a certain time I was early by 30 min running from work to make it so I can get some food and she already closed but a uber eats order got there food after I complained the uber eats got stuff she runs off the lights when I had over 20 min left until they had to close

I stopped by Mama’s Empanadas and left super disappointed. I ordered a chicken empanada and it was basically just mashed potatoes barely any chicken at all. The “ají” they gave me was more like a watery fake guacamole, not even close to the real thing.<br><br>Then came the worst part: my total was $5.33 and they refused to let me pay with my debit card, claiming they have a $10 minimum. I told them that’s illegal in New York, but they didn’t care at all. I had to pay in cash and reported them to the city.<br><br>Definitely won’t be coming back. Bring cash and low expectations if you do.

Absolute best place for empanadas! We live at least 40 minutes away so whenever we are in the area we always like to pick up some just to have at home. There are so many flavors to choose from, the prices are excellent and the green sauce (spicy) is our favorite. Hands down our favorite empanada place, everything is always fresh and delicious

Small spot with big flavor! I stopped by on my way home, who doesn't love empanadas. I do! First there is a wait, and we'll worth it. I had the 8 empanadas special, mixed with beef, chicken, and broccoli and cheese..WOW. who know broccoli would taste better in an empanada. You need to try these they are crunchy and delicious, also get the red melon juice, with real pieces of melon!!! Def stopping by again

Ugh this spot is such a gem, I can’t get over it! The food is delicious, so affordable.. the Mac and cheese and Hawaiian empanadas are so bomb!!! Perfect for a late night snack or munchies! They also sell frozen ones to cook at home!

Ordered the Arepa Pernil. A little heavy on the salty spices but overstuffed.<br>Carne molida maiz shell very good. My favorite thus far.<br>Pollo Trigo whole wheat empanadas!! EXCELLENT!<br>Next time I'm going to order all Trigo!! Not oily....perfect filling.

Great spot to grab food at anytime of the night (24 hours). They have a wide variety of empanadas that will have you wanting to try them all. They taste very fresh as if they were just made and I love that. The service is good as well. I’ve been here a good amount of times and I’m not tired of them yet, always taste like the first time.
