Take out order was ready very fast. Friendly and helpful customer service. $30 cash for two huge lunch specials. I loved that they included maduros. Food was flavorful and delicious.

Great service, amazing delicious food . The only thing is that not a lot of spaces for big family .but other then that great
I can't say enough good things about Malecon. It's one of the highlights of visiting my family in the Heights. The food is absolutely incredible. Fresh ingredients, even the seafood tastes like it's fresh out of the ocean. Service is efficient and friendly. Only problem is just the wait at peak mealtimes, you may have to wait 30 minutes or so for a table.
Brought my mother-in-law from DR to eat here during 6:00pm rush hour. Medium frame 30's Latino fella with short dark hair approached me and directed us to sit where we like. Nice fella, professional, great customer service skills & well groomed. He should be in charge of reception, training and directing wait staff. Our waiter was taller thin older Latino. Upon seating noticed tables being properly cleaned. We Both ordered baked salmon, avocado, mashed potatoes, broccoli. Had to get up and speak to waiter because we decided to order salads. He had never come back to our table to see if we needed anything, except to deliver the food. I used the bathroom and it was very clean and cleaned with bleach. This is very important. The same fella that met us at the entrance also came to our table to give us a pan to take leftover food home and took my credit card to pay $75 bill. Super reasonable. Upon departure I gave tip to the guy that met us door, seated us, took care of bill , and gave us food tray and told him split with the other guy. Our waiter was very nice fella but needs a little training to make him the perfect waiter and he would get better tips. The food was good, didnt have to go to the bathroom in an hour, so this tells us kitchen must be clean. One drawback was the music was way too loud for us senior citizens. I felt like I was eating at bodega in Barrio where the 20 year olds are drinking all the time. Music needs to be turned down 2 notches. The crowd was respectable at the restaurant.
One of the best rotisserie chickens you’ll ever have. Being from the heights, I can never say no to Malecon. This was yesterday, and I’m coming back again today. My mom usually gets Malecon when she doesn’t want to cook at home. 🤭
I truly enjoyed the food. Ordered the shrimp mofongo and roasted chicken. VERY good. The Malacon drinks were sooooo good! And great service.
Worst mofongo I’ve ever had. Not sure if it was just mine, but it seems like the garlic was burned. Taste was horrifyingly bitter. Will not be coming back. Churrasco was very delicious—along with the yuca fries.
Always love coming here. Food is sooooo good. I had to order another beef ribs to go. Amazing food. Service was great too.
We took the subway to Washington Heights to explore the neighborhoods and worked up an appetite. I picked out the Malecon restaurant in advance after reviewing the menu and the many good reviews. We were seated quickly and spent a few minutes looking over the substantial menu. I chose one of the daily specials and my wife selected what she thought would be lighter a bowl of their Sopa De Pollo.

A server brought a plate of warm bread and after a few minutes our food arrived - it was plentiful!
I enjoyed the Pernil which was slow-roasted marinated pork, served with a side of Moro Gandules (mixed rice with pigeon peas). The pork was so very tender and flavorful - would definitely order again. Honestly, I was not a fan of the mixed rice (I do not love peas) but that’s my fault for ordering.

My dining partner enjoyed her bowl of Sopa De Pollo, flavorful broth with lots of big chunks of Chicken. We shared a plate of Maduros (sweet fried plantains). So tasty.

The prices were very affordable and the serving plentiful. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my Pork, next time I would order one of the dishes with the roast chicken (you can see the rotisserie in the front window and an employee cutting up the freshly roasted chicken as you enter the restaurant.
Excellent service, best cubano ever. The sancochado was delicious. And their jugo de piña and batido de guanabana. Literally loved everything here, would prioritize eating here again next time in New York. Me encantó :)
Parking was insane but the food was fire 🔥 they had a 10 but the chicharon wasent crispy enough so yu get a 8/10 but overall the cchicken was incredible and the Mofongo too ask for more green sauce btw
Came for takeout on a Saturday night, it was bumping'. Smelled incredible. Surprised and delighted to see carrot cake on the menu. Not too sweet. Incredibly moist. Wow
It almost felt like a quick trip to the Dominican Republic. I really like Dominican food — the fried chicken (chicharron de pollo) and pork(chicharron), the plátanos, the cheese, rice with beans… even the Dominican beer. I just love it all. Other Dominican spots I’ve been to, the staff usually don’t speak English, so it was awesome that our server actually could. Had a great time overall, but wow — the bathroom smell was rough.
Working in the area. Coworker recommended this place for lunch. He had the chicken he loves.
Have to say probably one of the BEST Roast Pork dishes iv have, “FANTASTIC”
Love to be here for dinner atmosphere was great place crowded for lunch. What do you expect for one of the best place in the area.
Thank you

As you enter you smell and aromas of this amazing food. it does get busy and there May be a little wait to get food, but it’s all worth it!!! Genesis our waitress was excellent. She was very friendly, attentive and professional. The food freaking great!!!!!! Must recommend and return.
