This long standing top restaurant and bar provides excellent food including a superb list of raw oysters and delicious classic cocktails including an extensive absinthe service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful guiding you through their great menu of classic dishes with an emphasis on a great variety of seafood. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

The ultimate seafood tower! Had a lovely time here celebrating a birthday. They have fun cocktails, fresh seafood, and attentive staff. The atmosphere and aesthetic is cool, feels like you’re transported outside of Williamsburg and into vintage NOLA. All in all, would recommend and go again!

There are places that serve cocktails, and then there are places that create a feeling you carry with you long after the evening ends. Maison Premiere feels like stepping through a hidden door into another era of New York, warm, elegant, slightly decadent, and effortlessly sophisticated. The atmosphere is simply magical: dim lights, beautiful interiors, incredible music, and that rare energy that makes time slow down for a while.
Honestly, I almost convinced myself it wasn’t worth going all the way to Brooklyn just for cocktails and a few light bites and I would have genuinely regretted missing it. Everything here feels thoughtfully crafted. The cocktails were exceptional, the oysters and food absolutely delicious, and the entire experience had that old-world charm that is becoming harder and harder to find.
Service was admittedly a little slow and occasionally disorganized, but somehow it barely mattered in the context of such a beautiful atmosphere. Some places are about perfection; this one is about soul. And Maison Premiere has plenty of it.

absolutely marvelous! stopped by on a brooklyn trip and so glad i did! we sat at the bar and noah was so knowledgeable and patient! he gave great recommendations and managed to answer all our questions, make great conversation, and get our drinks out lightning quick! the oysters were marvelous, the dirty rice too, but the scallops were just superb! great spot for date night; dim lighting, oval bar, and jazz! highly highly recommend

Came here for some oysters and clams before heading to dinner at another restaurant.

This is our second time stopping in and it’s always so good. We ordered about 60 oysters and clams. The cherry stone clams were definitely the best and were still talked about the next day.

The vibe in here is cool and service was quick. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Would happily come back to try their hot foods.

Just celebrated a 3 day family reunion in NYC with my daughter and 3 college age granddaughters.
Our dinner at Maison Premier was my favorite moment! The large selection of oysters was a delight and Sapphire oysters were everyone’s favorite! We also chose lobster roll, crab cake, and baked oysters. The warm madeleines for dessert completed our festive dinner.
We will definitely return.
.

Carling was a delight! Exceptional recommendations and just a lovely ever throughout the evening. The “In the Pines” was fantastic and the atmosphere, meal and drinks were all curated perfectly. My roommate and I had a truly wonderful evening and appreciate the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff 🫶

It’s top-notch for oysters. But we never expect the oysters from East Coast become our favourite!
We were giving a try on the Thatch Island oysters, and we kind of having least expectations on them. Yet after the first bite, they were do fresh and balanced in the creaminess and crispness. The flavor cames earthly and mineral but also sweet!
They are the no.1 of the day!

We ordered the Dirty Rice and we thought it was just like a risotto. But it’s more than that! It’s rich in favour of Japanese Bonito and lobster, savoury and tasty! The Crab Toast was comparatively less among all.

All dishes we paired with a glass of French Rose and the Forever IPA.

This restaurant is now the top of my list in seafood bar of NYC!

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Maison Premiere in Williamsburg, NYC, USA.

An outstanding seafood restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg — a true hidden gem! The entrance has a bit of a speakeasy vibe — there’s a small sign, but you need to look carefully to find it, and you enter through swinging saloon-style doors, which immediately set the mood. Inside, you’re transported to another decade: a beautiful oval bar, dim, jazzy lighting, and tables set close together, creating a lively and intimate atmosphere.

Service was excellent — efficient and knowledgeable. We tried a selection of four different oysters, all fresh and unique, perfectly recommended by our waiter. The crab cake was outstanding — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, served with a great spicy sauce. We also had mussels and a salad, both well prepared, and ended with warm madeleines that were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Overall, an exceptional dining experience — elegant yet unpretentious, full of character and flavor. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a memorable seafood dinner in Williamsburg!

Up there with the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The drinks were explained with passion and poured with care, every single dish was delicately prepared and bursting with flavor, and the dark, old-world vibe was immaculate. The perfect place to wile away an evening drinking and munching. Special thanks to Carling and Dustin for their exemplary service and energy. 10/10

OMG, this place has become my favorite! I love oysters and few places have such an ample selection as this one. I recommend trying the Kumamoto oysters, they are spectacular. We ate in their garden and it was so romantic; the entire decor itself is absolutely beautiful. Without a doubt, one of my favorite places when it comes to eating oysters and having a good wine.

This oyster and wine bar truly surprised me! Even though I couldn’t drink because of some inflammation, I couldn’t resist coming here with my friend just for the oysters.

Ambience:
From the outside it looks like a small bar, but once you step in, it’s a whole different world. The décor is pure 1920s vintage style, and all the staff and bartenders are dressed in retro outfits—so stylish! The backyard is absolutely charming, to the point where I even thought, “I’d love to have a wedding here someday.”

Food experience:
We ordered the oyster platter and tried every kind they had. To my surprise, the smallest oysters (I think the third from the last) turned out to be the most delicious—absolutely amazing! And I have to give a huge shoutout to their sourdough bread. It was chewy, moist, not dry at all—honestly even better than the Beef Tartare it came with 😂. When I told the staff, they mentioned they recently got a new chef, and the bread actually comes from a bakery just 8 minutes away (something like “Woof”). Either way, it was fantastic.

Music & vibe:
The whole place was filled with funky jazz from a century ago, and it made me just want to dance. The vibe is perfect for dates, nights out with friends, or simply taking beautiful photos.

Sadly, we ordered too much and couldn’t try the desserts this time, but I’ll definitely come back for them!

👉 In short:
A hidden gem with amazing oysters, unforgettable sourdough, a romantic 1920s atmosphere, and music that makes you want to dance. Highly recommend!

Had this place saved for a while and finally booked a weekend afternoon spot. Went for the garden seating but had to switch inside after getting bug bites.

The vibe inside was cozy with live music, which made a great impression.

We ordered a cocktail, a whiskey soda, and oysters, fresh and tasty like an oyster spot should be. Left feeling pretty happy with the whole experience!

If you're a fan of oysters and absinthe, this spot is a must-visit! They offer an impressive selection of oysters and cocktails that never disappoint. The lobster is also a standout, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. While we've never sat down for a full meal, we always make it a point to stop by for a quick drink, and it never fails to impress. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy fresh seafood and expertly crafted drinks!
