I didn’t feel it was worth the hype.
I found it pricey for what it is. They’re creative with the dishes, but I wouldn’t highlight the pasta.
I won’t go into too much detail, but overall it wasn’t a pleasant experience food-wise.

Genuinely so disgusting and disappointing.
Frittella was salty and heavy, was like a fried ball of sand.
The Agnolotti in saffron, dried tomato and honey sauce, combo of flavors didn’t mix well, agnolotti itself very mid, and I can get similar and better pasta for a fraction of the cost at Trader Joe’s.
The Mafaldini was salty, the noodles overcooked, there was no flavor or sauce, so it was basically overcooked oily noodles.
The lamb looked good but the cook was so off and it tasted like an oily piece of cardboard and takes forever to chew
Will never be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Do yourself a favor and try the sheep’s milk agnolotti!! It was truly the most silky, fresh, and delicious pasta dish I think I’ve ever had. The food came out very fast and the server was attentive. We also got the gelato which was a perfectly simple way to end.
Leaving a review after trying two times, first time was almost three years ago.
Still don’t get the hype.
The focaccia is definitely not a traditional focaccia - more like a dinner roll.
The mortadella filled tortelli was so confusing - barely any mortadella?? More like just cheese fillling.
Rigatoni diavola was so salty.
Fettuccine with lamb was nothing special…

Only thing that was good was agnolotti, wish they gave more dried tomato.
The softserve Italian job was good, didn’t need the honey drizzle for my personal preference.

Overall there is just nothing so impressive to be such a hard to get reservation spot. Sadly can’t recommend and won’t be back.
Another great night at Lilia. Service is excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing. We had the sheeps milk agnoloti with sun dried tomatoes and lamb ragout with fettuccine. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Ended with the vanilla ice cream with fennel pollen and olive oil. It sounds like such a simple desert, but every bite was a new experience. My friend said she would return just for that.
this was an underwhelming, disappointing meal for a place that is supposedly well established and well known…
the little gem consisted of salad box rejects, brown withered and soggy, resulting in the laziest constructed palette and presentation.
pasta noodles within the same dish seemed as though they were from different batches or pots- some were al dente and cool while others were hot and tender. half a noodle would be cold, the other half warm. our food may have been waiting at the bar for 40 minutes before being microwaved and sent to us. this is a strange method as they took our full order all at once.
We were initially told to order “4-6 plates” to share, implying family-style portions or some variety, but assumed an upsell and are glad we stuck to two mains.
this place gave us a facade of friendly servers compensating for a disastrous kitchen. for a restaurant with many stellar reviews, was this an off night for the kitchen? why do people talk this place up so much?
TLDR: overhyped & overpriced. disappointment at every turn.
For reference we were 2 people: 3 drinks, 2 apps, 2 dishes = $200
This was one of the most incredible restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. The chef is extremely talented, the servers and staff were very attentive, and the manager was so nice. The food is so unique and each dish had some amazing flavor I haven’t tried before. We started with the cacio e pepe frittelle, their roasted leek focaccia and green garlic butter, and their mussels. We then got the sheep’s milk agnolotti pasta and the caramelized onion filled ravioli. I truly don’t know how they did it but it was some of the best food we’ve ever had. For desert we got the olive oil cake and the “Italian Job”, which was such a unique flavor bomb and we highly recommend. Thank you Lilia for such an unforgettable experience!!
Heard about this place and yes it’s hard to get someone on the phone because they are all working. Difficult to book because they are well worth it. Walked in with my Valentine on Valentine Night and was able to get a nice table. Ordered the mussels as an appetizer and they were so flavorful that I had to order a second order. Dinner was Sea-bass with potatoes which I enjoyed everything about. My date had the pasta. The wine was fruity and so worth it. I loved everything about LILIA. Customer service, the attention to detail for everyone. Nothing was left on the table, it was cleared immediately after consumption. Well worth it all. Total recommendation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Went to Lilia for Valentine's Day and had a great experience! We ordered the housemade mozzarella, scallops, mussels, agnolotti, and lamb leg steak to share. Everything was delicious. The Italian Job for dessert was great too. I've never had olive oil and fennel pollen on gelato before, so was pleasantly surprised by how well it all blended.

The service was great! She was super friendly and attentive throughout the night.
Given all the hype was mildly disappointed by the experience!
The restaurant was drafty and cold (its a large converted space). Our partners had to put their jackets on at one point.

9/10 dishes were fantastic however they served the large lamb steak to share uncooked which was extremely dissappointing and ultimately we sent back to the kitchen. Not what you expect from one of the most talked about spots in town...

Perhaps it was an off day for the restaurant and kitchen!
I went here for dinner.

The place had zero heat. It was about four degrees today in New York City.

We ordered two appetizers and two mains.

Mains:
Pasta was nice.

Sea bass was ok.

Appetizers:

I don’t think I should have ordered the Bagna Cauda on such a cold day. It might be a good option for the summer.

Grill clam was boring.

I am not sure what to said about this experience other than it was very cold.
We have amazing dinner at Lilia
mussels amazing!
Scalops so tasty
And the ravioli deliciososs
The bartender was great
I have a great time
Special thanks to my partner Emily i love enjoying time with you
Cheers for more!
Super friendly staff and a great place to spend an evening catching up with friends. We booked a 6pm patio table, so we didn’t see much of the inside, but it was packed so reservations are a must.

The patio was perfect though, plenty of separation from the sidewalk and a comfortable setup. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. It’s not cheap, but the portions were fair and everything felt thoughtfully prepared with real attention to detail.

If I were to recommend two things, it would be the focaccia and the agnolotti, they were the table favorites.

Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely recommend it.
The service at this place is truly amazing! The food is good, but nothing special enough to make me want to return. For the scallops, you only get two small pieces for $30.
The pastas we tried received big recommendations, but they were lacking flavor.
The only thing I liked is the apple crostata. I wish it came with ice cream not the creme fraiche.
I usually hear people going before they open to get a table, and was so excited that I was able to reserve online!

The staff were nice and helpful with deciding our orders, and we were glad that we did not skip on the focaccia!

I was way too full afterwards, so I think the 2 of us could’ve just gotten one pasta instead of 2 (or just one appetizer)!
