Food is very good. The service and the atmosphere are great too. We’ve tried their eggs, pancakes, crêpes and french toast; even most of their drinks, I believe everything is great. The only issue I don’t like is the cashier has to ask you how much are you tipping to enter the amount, I would prefer if we do it ourselves, but the experience was great.

Worst experience ever! We went there for breakfast , were seated in the very corner of the restaurant when there were other open tables . We were okay with that , but the dishes( plate) they served us the food was so gross, like very worn out dirty looking dishes, service was bad too , waited like 10 min after being seated , never came to check how was everything, no coffee refill .Pancakes were super dry, very salty potatoes and hard slice of toast which i had to remind the server about. Looking at the place and the review , we decided to stop by but the experience literally spoilt our day..

This was a review back from summer 2025 when my cousin and I went to Pokemon Go Fest and we were nervous just with time and making sure we knew where we were going. We came here and asked about parking and the staff knew of the event and told us all the options we had and it was a huge help. Once we went to Library Park for the event my blood sugar was low and it was pouring like crazy my bag broke and I thought if i sat on the ground and started crying things would be easier. But we returned to Life Pancakes to be out of the rain and the staff made sure we were okay. I owe the staff here my life

And also holy heck the pancakes were absurdly good. I enjoy pancakes but I these were so warm and tasty it was unlike anything else. The Oreo/Cookies and Cream Pancakes filled me up good and literally mixed the best of both things

I wanted a good and heavy breakfast before I start my day. First time coming here with my boyfriend and it was good! This place crave my satisfaction. I have the steak with sweet pepper & potatoes and poach eggs. He had pancake with stuffed walnuts and banana. Eggs sausage & bacon. The portion on the food was amazing and so delicious 😋. I definitely will be coming back here and trying different things.

Server was attentive. The food was tasty. Coffee is not great but acceptable.
My salad was missing the avocado 😞

Went here for the first time this past weekend and would definitely go back for the pancakes. They are really good. The only reason I gave a 4 stars rating is because the matcha latte was by far the worst matcha I’ve ever had. It tasted like hot milk with a drop of green coloring. Absolutely no taste of matcha at all, I’d argue it gave off more of a pistachio taste, but it was literally mostly hot milk. And to pay $9 for that was just inconceivable.
Other than that, the service and food were great!

I don't come here as frequently because they got expensive for basically regular diner fare. Sign of the times everything is getting expensive. Meanwhile cost of goods have not gone up that dramatically. (Maximizing additional profit)

8.5/10 Waffle Tower
6.75/10 Maria's Unicorn Waffle

I recommend adding strawberries to the waffle tower. I wouldnt buy Maria's Unicorn Waffle it was way too much in not so good for you so I couldn't finish it, it felt kinda dry as well.

Seated quickly on a very busy Sunday around 1ish. No parking in lot.

It’s mostly à la carte meaning everything is an additional price. $9 milkshakes and $14 plain pancakes. $2 extra for lettuce and tomatoes, 2$ extra for sweet potato fries. $94 for everything pictured

No Appetizers were ordered. 30 min wait for the food. It was real busy so I get it. Substituted ham for bacon on a burger and it still came with ham. No offer of fixing. Just a “do you still want it”. Lol and my actual order never came and the rest of my table finished everything. My side of Oreo pancakes were okay. Not too much flavor. The forgotten sandwich I ordered would have been better. I asked to just remove it from bill and we left. Parking lot was empty as soon as we left. I would say to come here when it’s a slow day. Doesn’t seem like the cook has much help back there and the slow wait affects the waiters service.

Friendly staff with a good atmosphere, albeit loud. Pancakes were good if you like the dry and cakey kind that absorb all the syrup. Taste and texture is very similar to the inside of a KFC or Popeyes biscuit. Not my preferred kind of pancake, but decent nonetheless. Bacon and eggs were good and cooked well.
However, a cup of tea (which, by the way, is just a bag of Bigelow) is $4 PER CUP. No free refills, which we were not informed of. I can get a whole box of Bigelow at any grocery for that price and heat up my own unfiltered water. Crazy.

All the dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious—we loved every bite! My children enjoyed the food as well. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very pleasant.
There was a nice variety of vegetarian options, which was a big plus. They also have their own parking area, which made things very convenient.
It’s a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or brunch with your family or friends. Highly recommended!
Thank you.

My cousin and I visited Life Pancake Company every day during our winter vacation, and it was absolutely amazing! We traveled from Germany for our holiday, and this place quickly became our favorite breakfast spot. The pancakes were incredibly delicious, fresh, and creatively made. No matter which variation we tried, everything was top-notch in terms of taste.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to start the day. A special shoutout to the staff – they were warm, attentive, and always up for a friendly chat. We felt completely at home, even though we were far from Germany, and would return anytime.

I never really visited Jersey City, but I made a point to drive down to check out this restaurant and the Science Center nearby. Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff and seated immediately, even though it wasn't too busy. My server Kim was friendly and attentive, and my order came out super fast. Since it is pancake house, I felt it befitting to order the Oreo Pancakes. The pancakes were huge and delicious. I was surprised I was able to finish them all. I loved the look of the restaurant itself, which is lovely and very cozy. They have a large menu selection, and prices are pretty decent, with the exception of the cost for a cup of coffee, which was $4. There is a large parking lot out back with plenty of spaces available. Overall, I really enjoyed my first experience dining here, and I will be sure to stop in again the next time I am either in the area or just passing through.
