Great food and help staff. Service was great from beginning to end. Had the blink squid ink seafood pasta. Calamari was nicely cookly and sharable. Crab cake is a single can be shared, if you order more than one appetizer.

Response from the owner

I swear I almost don't want to write this review because this brunch was so good. I have had an issue with eggs, and they were able to make the perfect eggs, and I was very delighted with this.
My friend and I sat in the “Outside." It feels like a cottage, kind of like you stepped out of the city for a while. It's very quaint and simple but exceptional; it is definitely quality. They also have a boozy brunch option, and the sangria was so good I had to cut myself off, though.
Hope this helps!

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for this review. We are so glad you enjoyed brunch at Lido We look forward to seeing you again very soon. Cheers!

Overall, Lido is a good spot. Everything is good except the calamari which was just ok. No real flavor. The aioli that comes with it is very good though. The sauce for the salmon is really tasty...a stand out for me with the whole dinner. The creamy garlic bread is a good appetizer. Creamy and a not too crunchy. The branzino is tasty and has crispy skin 👍. Could have more vegetables with it. The Tiramisu and warmy bread pudding for dessert were both good. I'd recommend an extra scoop of ice cream as they give one small scoop.

The restaurant is pretty tight. Tables are pretty close together. Hard to get in and out when other diners are next to you.

Would definitely return here.

The restaurant week menus is 3 course for $45 per person. The portion size is big and food is tasty. For starters we had the salmon fritters, arugula salad; for main we got the branzino and chicken Marsala, both are very good. For dessert there are just two choices: chocolate brownie ice cream or strawberry sorbet. We got both and if you mix the two the flavors are more balanced. Great service as well.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday
at Lido Harlem and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Susannah and her team were absolutely wonderful from the very first planning conversation all the way through to the last guest leaving the restaurant. They were organized, attentive, and genuinely cared about making the evening feel special.

The food was excellent across the board, beautifully prepared and full of flavor, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance: lively and bustling, yet still relaxed and intimate enough for conversation. The music added to the vibe without overpowering the room, and the staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and on top of every detail.

Our entire group (over 30 guests) had an unforgettable night, and I’m so grateful to the whole team for helping make such a meaningful celebration flawless. Highly recommend Lido for any special occasion, or just a fantastic dinner out.

Last month I proposed to my boyfriend and surprised him with a special dinner at Lido’s where we had our first date. When planning the occasion I reached out to the restaurant for a reservation. I worked with Bianca, the manager on duty. She was extremely accommodating. We originally planned a reservation for 10 which fluctuated to 15 before all was said and done. The staff were incredible and made the dinner feel like the whole night was about our party. Dan was our main server and kept everything running like clockwork. Even though I was the point of contact for the event, the staff made it feel like I was simply one of the guest attending the party. I could not have asked for better. As always, the food and drink were perfect and the atmosphere, charming. I cannot thank Lido’s enough for helping make the evening unforgettable. Can’t wait to see them again.

Response from the owner

Daniel. Thank you so much for the lovely review and for choosing Lido for this very special occasion. We wish all the best to you and your fiancé and look forward to future celebrations! Cheers!

We went to Lido for lunch the day before Thanksgiving 2025 and I must say the food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding! For appetizers, my cousin and I shared the calamari fritti and my husband had the roasted veal meatballs (he ate them in a NY minute and I missed the photo op...). For the main course we had chicken marsala and spaghetti arrabiata. The cocktails (especially the espresso martini and the strawberry lemon drop) were wonderful! Everything we ordered was excellent! The portions were generous to the point that we had zero room for dessert. So, you get delicious food, great service and a generous meal for the money. It was a lovely dining experience and we look forward to returning next time we visit NYC!

I went there to have dinner with my friend for his birthday , the service was amazing the lady who seated us and the waiter were both very very nice , the food was great . I love italian cuisine and Lido didn’t disappoint me at all .
-The grilled or roasted lamp shops : 8/10
-I forgot the name but it was like a lasagna with eggplant ( it doesn’t look good in the picture but it was super delicious) : 9.5/10
- Tiramisu : 8/10 like the one you have in Rome.

LIDO is one if my low key spots that always delivers a good meal with the perfect balance of energy and people.
The food is consistently on point and never disappoints.
The owners are also super sweet and amazing and definitely care about their customers and their dining experience.

Underrated home cooked Italian food in a refined yet unpretentious setting. My hubby and I stop by every time we are in the city and walk away always with our palates happy and impressed.

I love the old school flair ambience and the menu is concise and simple. I think it’s one of the better Spaghetti & Meatball dishes. Highly recommend the chicken Marsala as the flavors are just divine.

Service has always been attentive and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend this resto enough!

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for the review. We are so glad you are enjoying Lido. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit!

A Memorable Harlem Gem That Keeps Me Coming Back

Years ago, I came across this spot on a recommendation—and it left such a lasting impression that I knew I had to return. This recent visit confirmed exactly why it earned a place on my personal list of must-try restaurants.

Nestled in Harlem, this restaurant is part of a neighborhood that has seen tremendous change over the past 30 years. While gentrification brings complex emotions, one positive is the emergence of exceptional dining experiences like this. It’s a beautiful reflection of Harlem’s evolving food scene—where history, creativity, and hospitality meet.

We visited for brunch and went with the bottomless Sangria and Mimosas. The Sangria surprised me—it was much lighter than expected, with a crisp, refreshing taste. At first, I thought it might be the white version, and the staff didn’t hesitate to bring over both so I could compare. That thoughtful touch set the tone for the entire meal. The service was friendly, prompt, and attentive without ever feeling rushed.

The white polenta was everything I hoped for—smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. It brought back all the good memories from my first visit. The braised short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender and incredibly flavorful. These are the kinds of dishes that show real care and technique in the kitchen.

The atmosphere is just as inviting as the food. There’s a vibrant energy in the space—stylish yet relaxed, making it perfect for everything from a leisurely brunch with friends to a date night or special celebration.

Whether you’re a local or visiting New York City and want to explore Harlem beyond the typical tourist stops, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a true gem—where the food is memorable, the drinks are generous, and the service makes you feel like a valued guest. I’ll absolutely be returning again.

Stopped by for lunch with a friend who came up from Brooklyn and was reminded of how good this local spot is.

The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious including the burrata crostini, the kale salad, French toast and bacon (extra crispy just how I like it) and the vibe was homey and comfortable. Will definitely keep coming back.

Response from the owner

Thank you Stinson - We are so glad you enjoyed your latest lunch at Lido and look forward to seeing you again soon!
Cheers!

I brought my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday and it was also our first time visiting. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Service was excellent. We enjoyed the bottomless mimosas and the server made sure to keep them coming. Food was delicious and the restaurant it spacious and super nice. I really appreciate the clean bathrooms as well. Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back to try the dinner menu!
