Le Monde

I always enjoy coming to La Monde. Such a great spot for any time of day, especially brunch. This time I tried the steak from the graduation menu and it was so good — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.<br><br>Also have to mention our server Kara, who is always so kind and welcoming. She remembers us every time we come, which makes the experience feel even more special. Love this place and will definitely keep coming back.

A very cozy and lovely French restaurant. We went for brunch and it was delicious. I loved the dessert crepes super sweet and made fresh. drinks were very tasty I loved my espresso martini.<br><br>The pastries also tasted fresh and warm<br><br>Loved this place and great service

Great service and great food. I went here for a solo date and it was a 10/10 experience. Kara was my waitress and she was so helpful. The manager Khalide Was also extremely welcoming and provided great menu options. I can’t wait for my next visit.

This was our third visit to Le Monde, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. We absolutely love their steaks, which come with a side of salad and French fries. You can choose between two sauces — pepper or cheese — and honestly, both are delicious. The portions are generous, making it a truly satisfying meal.<br><br>For starters, we had the Caesar salad served with fish, which was fresh and flavorful. For dessert, I enjoyed the panna cotta, which was perfectly creamy, along with a rich brownie and some delightful ice cream. We also had tea, and the presentation of the tea sets was charming and unique.<br><br>It was my brother’s birthday, and the staff made it extra special — they put a candle on the brownie, didn’t charge us for it, and even gave my brother a birthday card. The warmth and friendliness of the staff really stood out, making the whole experience memorable.<br><br>The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Overall, everything from the food to the service was fantastic. I highly recommend Le Monde — it’s definitely a place worth visiting!

Very fresh and chewy salad on the side of classic egg benedict! The bacon could be softer as it was a little hard to chew. Tbh the escargot was the best I've had in nyc so far!!! Definitely reasonably priced and the taste...not enough space to write how good it was. Pairing with the bread was great too!

The best brunch I’ve ever had. Service was incredible, Erik was so kind and made my girlfriend’s birthday so special! Bottomless brunch was delicious, our glasses were never empty!

Our server Luis was very knowledgeable of the menu. He was able to recommend great selections for food and drinks. For appetizers we had the Shrimp, Prosciutto Flatbread and Escargots. For entrees we had the Short Rib, Mussels, and Chicken Cordon Bleu. Dessert was Creme Brûlée and Crepe Nutella. We enjoyed everything!! Wonderful service!! Fresh bread made in house. Tasty cocktails!!

Conveniently located in Morningside Heights and steps away from Columbia University. French-inspired retro/casual decor and atomsphere. Despite and relatively sizable inteior space, the seating was a bit tight. Food choices were reasonable and French-American themed. We ordered the escargot, Margherita flat bred, salad, crepe parisene and steak. All tasted pretty good. The crepe was huge, unlike the ones I have eaten in France before, probably sized for American appetite. Service was friendly and cordial.

We had such a lovely and elevated experience. Our server, Kyle, was attentive and kind. We ordered the *special* Cordon Blu and the Lamb chops, both prepared to perfection. We finished with the Chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream and the creme brule! Such a fun experience for us NYC guests.

We had a really lovely brunch. The food at Le Monde is always very good and consistent. Our server, Gavin, was the highlight of the meal. He is so friendly and has a great sense of humor. I hope we get him again next time we come!

I love this place. I am addicted to their escargot. Their fries are amazing. Drinks are strong. Shout out to ERIK, my fave. He is consistently attentive and makes you feel welcomed and remembered. His professionalism and positive energy are a treat. Sophia is patient and sweet. They are both huge assets to this gem of a restaurant!

I came here for a lunch in front of the moment I walked in. I was greeted with a smile in a warm welcome. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. But who really made my whole day and a memorable experience here was Erik. This was meant to be a celebratory lunch, But Eric and the staff went above and beyond to make it something unforgettable. What was slated to be a normal day was a birthday that I will hold and share it for years to come. I got an amazing birthday treat, He gathered everyone to sing me happy birthday, Even the candle and I got the cutest birthday card. I will definitely come here again, and it’s because of people like Erik!

My friend and I randomly walked in on a Wednesday during our break from work. We met up and stopped by a few places, trying to find the right atmosphere that matched our moods. Le Monde provided a sweet ambience that allowed us to enjoy our meal. It was also restaurant week, so we had a three course meal. Since we weren’t familiar with French cuisine, our wonderful server Sofia guided us through the menu. Everything was delicious. The fresh salad with goat cheese (fried) on top was incredible. The coq au vins and the panna cotta that followed was also exquisite. By the time my friend and I left, we decided to make a reservation. Same day, same time. It’s our new favorite spot that will now become our tradition. You absolutely must go.

Food and service was great, and shout-out to our server Jeremy! I had the crab lobster benedict which is something I haven't had before but was well-seasoned, light, and delicious.<br><br>The omelette was also fantastic. The coffee & espresso was smooth and not bitter. Would highly recommend the baguette - it was fresh, hot, and soft.<br><br>We came for brunch and would come again! Prices are about $40/person which is reasonable for this type of restaurant which is higher-end in the Upper West Side.

as a celiac person i am always SO happy when a restaurant has gluten free options. my server erik was the BEST and so helpful — he even helped me choose between three options bc i am an indecisive person haha 🤣<br><br>i got the steak sandwich on gluten free bread and fries (no cross contamination!) plus a cappuccino. such a lovely filling delicious meal on a rainy day<br><br>love love love
