Good pizza slice. Big amount of portions in the pasta dishes. I tried the meatball sandwich and it was great. DISCLAIMER: they didnt want to give me the wifi password.

My wife and I stopped by today with our three children to have lunch while celebrating our 8 year old's birthday. We've stopped by Spumonis plenty of times in the past to enjoy those classic squares, spumonis, and even several items from the entree menu. We've never had any issues in the past, which is why today's experience was so baffling. We usually order pizza for the kiddos yet decided to order from the kids menu. Wrong idea! Each item was $17.95!! We're talking your standard children's fare, such as macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders pasta with meat sauce. I understand prices are up throughout every strata of society, but that's an absurd amount of money for a kid's meal. To top it off, the macaroni and cheese had hair in it! When you combine this with the poor service we received ( waited 15 mins before my wife got up to seek out a waiter so we could order), it's safe to say we'll stick to the pizza the next time if we decided to visit any time soon.
Went and got the upside down pizza and it SLAPPED. So much that we decided to sit inside and order food. We got the carbonara, chicken parm hero and the lasagna. Food was good, service was a bit choppy (but they were busy). I’d go here again.
Upside down slice: 4/5
Chicken parm hero: 4/5
Lasagna: 4/5
Carbonara: 3/5.
I'm a lover of Sicilian style pizzas so I had to check this place out, even if it was a bit out of my way.

I didn’t dine in the indoor restaurant, so I can't speak for that, I just got a classic Sicilian slice and sat outside. The slice itself exemplified what I would want from a good Sicilian. It had a perfectly crispy bottom, (without any burning), a fluffy crust, a thick layer of sweet and slightly tangy tomato sauce, and some gooey cheese underneath to complete the package. The highlights for me were the crispiness of the bottom and the flavor in the sauce, with the other aspects of the slice meeting expectations. An awesome slice overall but it didn’t quite blow me away. Definitely still deserving of 5 stars!

My biggest complaint though is that they only let you order toppings on whole pies! I would've definitely wanted some pepperoni on mine...
Finally, stop to make the trip to try this food out and their classic Sicilian pizza was as advertised, Excellent. Well worth driving out from Long Island into Brooklyn to try this place. The owner Lenny was very gracious and capped off our dinner with a dessert for two. We thank you very much and will be back. If you haven't tried this place, it should be on your list. Chicken franchise was top notch.
The absolute gold standard of the Brooklyn square slice.

There is no other pizza quite like L&B. The "upside-down" style—mozzarella on the bottom and that legendary sweet sauce on top—is a masterclass in balance. The crust is thick and pillowy with a crispy, golden-brown bottom that is impossible to replicate.

Beyond the Pizza:

The Baked Clams: Do not sleep on the appetizers. The baked clams are phenomenal—perfectly seasoned, fresh, and served in a delicious garlic butter sauce that you’ll want to soak up with extra bread.

Summer Treats: When the temperature rises, this is the place to be. Their cold treats are the ultimate summer hack. The Spumoni is obviously a classic, but their Italian ices are incredibly refreshing and the perfect way to cool down at the outdoor picnic tables.

The vibe here is quintessential New York. It’s always buzzing, the service is fast, and the food is consistently incredible. It’s a mandatory pilgrimage for anyone who loves great food and a classic Brooklyn atmosphere.

Pro Tip: If you're coming with a group, just buy the full tray of squares. You’ll regret not having leftovers for the next morning!
I think people should come here and try the thing they are known for which is the pizza and the spumoni ice cream, the burger is really juicy but the fries did not taste that good. And my girlfriend ordered the chicken sirento and it wasn’t that great. The service here is amazing but the food good be better but good news is the pizza is just as good as it was I used to come here years ago
We love L&B Spumoni Gardens! The food there is consistently delicious! The bolognese sauce is the best I've ever tasted. And the bread they bring to the table is soft, crusty and warm. Yum! The portions are very generous. The service is very good too. If you go to Brooklyn, you really need to eat here.
L&B Spumoni Gardens is a true New York institution and a must-visit spot in Brooklyn. From the moment you arrive, you feel that old-school, authentic neighborhood vibe that makes the place so special.

The square Sicilian pizza is legendary. The thick, airy crust is perfectly baked, the tomato sauce is rich and slightly sweet, and the cheese sits beautifully underneath the sauce — a unique and delicious twist that makes it stand out from any other slice in NYC. Every bite is comforting and full of flavor.

And of course, you can’t leave without trying their famous spumoni. Creamy, colorful, and refreshing, it’s the perfect way to end your meal. It adds that nostalgic Italian-American touch that defines the place.

The outdoor seating area creates a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. It’s lively, casual, and feels like a true Brooklyn gathering spot. Despite being popular, the service remains efficient and well organized.

If you want authentic, classic New York pizza with history and personality, L&B Spumoni Gardens is non-negotiable. Iconic, flavorful, and unforgettable. Highly recommended
Jack was a fantastic host. Really made us feel welcome and his hospitality was the best we’ve had since being in New York. What a lovely place to visit. The pizza was delicious, would recommend the grandma pizza!
Classic Brooklyn vibes! Came here Sunday around 7:30 PM. It was packed, but we were seated in just 15 mins! Very family-oriented and lively.

Pro-tip: Don't even bother with the parking lot; go for street parking.

Must-orders:
• Sicilian Pizza (The best!)
• Baked calms & Shrimp Cocktai
• Chicken Bolognese

Not a fan of
• potato croquettes
• chicken Parmigiana

Overall experience was great, will come back again!
Stick to the pizza. It’s fine, dare I even say respectable.
The pasta in my experience was overcooked, soggy, and gross with no real cohesive sauce. Hiding behind giant portion sizes won’t make it any more enjoyable.
The calamari was sad and the garlic bread would probably go hard in a high school cafeteria- but that’s about it.
The pizza is fine though. The pizza is fine.
Friendly atmosphere.
Great space, and even in the garden space — it was toasty warm on a frigid day. Great service and vibe. Plenty of people and clearly super popular.

Ok - to the point: the pizza was really good! The 6 of us got a 12 slice rectangular pie, and it was crispy where it was supposed to be and the sauce was fresh and just so good. Recommend.
As a man who grew up in Coney Island and Brooklyn boy, this place brings you back to the old school Italian deli feel.

The food tastes like the heroes you get from the best pizzerias and they obviously focus on the sauce the way it's intended like real Italians would.

I only had the tomato Sicilian with vodka sauce, meatball hero with fresh mozzarella, and shared a chicken parm with vodka sauce. Each bite was delicious and the service was great despite being busy.

On the way out, the guy remembered my name and asked how was the food. I said, it was amazing and it definitely was. Come try this place out. There is also pasta as well.

Parking is a bit crazy and people were double parked down the block, waiting to get in. You must try it if in the area!!

Sorry as i didn't get the usual photos I typically don't when trying places out but trust me, it's good. They also have this ice cream boat that people order for special occasions. It's a mix between pistachio, chocolate, and creamoso ice creams with cones and piled high. You can find pictures of it in other reviews.
Wonderful doesn't come close. We were a party of 10 including 3 kids, and we couldn't have had a more perfect afternoon. The food!! Yes of course the pizza but everything we ate was delicious -- mozzarella tomato salad, calamari, baked clams (to die for), soft and delicious chicken parm, the eggplant Sicilian ziti, the spaghetti marinara... Great inexpensive house chianti. And of course an incredible dessert platter. Thanks to the entire team - we will definitely be back!
