Super friendly people, going out of their way to make a happy (vegan) customer. I saw on the online menu that they can make a whole vegan pie and came in hoping they would have vegan slices available. The sign out front advertises vegan cheese, and there is just one vegan pizza (margherita) on the menu. We asked about vegan pizza slices, which they didn't have available, and I was given a price for a 12" plain cheese vegan pizza as the smallest they could do (more than I needed). I asked about adding toppings and was given a price, then opted for just cheese, but then they added a bunch of vegetables at no charge anyway. I hesitate to say this because I don't want everyone to expect it! I won't even go into other details that really made the customer service stand out. My nonvegan friend ate a couple slices after eating his own nonvegan slices and liked them. It was not the best vegan pizza I've had by any means, but it was good crust and overall a decent vegan pizza, and I really appreciate them trying and am sure they are open to suggestions/requests.

My advice to the restaurant is to have at least one vegan pie out for 'by the slice', clearly labeled 'vegan' in the case, with some interesting toppings. I said I would add this restaurant to HappyCow (vegan food finder app and website), but they have a rule that a restaurant must offer at least 3 options to be listed. It seems like it would be easy enough to mark a few more options on the menu that might already be vegan or could be optionally vegan (any veggie pizza, eggplant hero, lentil/minestrone soup, etc?). Also, the (owner?) mentioned that vegan cheese is expensive, and the pizza came with a lot of it. In my personal opinion, vegan cheese is better used sparingly, or it is too obvious and goopy, unless it's a really high quality cultured vegan cheese. Better to focus on the flavor of the sauce and toppings and use just enough vegan cheese to give a hint of cheesiness. I feel like they could have gotten away with using half the amount of vegan cheese, and used the other half to make a vegan pizza for the case by the slice. Finally, it would really up your game if you had some vegan meat toppings (Beyond sausage, etc.)
