Best cuban sandwiches around! Place has 2 floors and can be very packed with standing room only while awaiting a table. Parking is a pain but there's side public parking. It's located in a busy shopping area so parking a few blocks away amounts to store browsing. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent, top notch food and service! The staff is very attentive and polite, you never have to wait long on any request! It was out first time there and we will now become regulars. Big shout to Manuel ( our server) and all of the staff for making us feel welcomed. Everyone truely enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend for group dinners.

I’ve been coming here for the past 12 years and it holds a special place in my heart. My family and I love to come here and their skirt steak never disappoints. They have a wide variety of different options and their mango smoothie is the best! Their service is always top tier and they’ll happily do birthday occasions. The music and atmosphere is always a pleasure. We always make a reservation and it’s very popular and they accommodate large parties well. The parking is a little scarce with a popular parking deck across the street.

Had a great experience here. The staff was incredibly attentive from start to finish, making sure everything was just right without ever feeling overbearing. The churrasco was the highlight, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Got a steak sandwich and couldn’t eat half of it it was so hard to chew that I almost chocked that’s some scary thing smh waste because every bite was hard to chew and it was at like 7 pm so I would expect the food to be good for the price I could of gotten a better sandwich at la Brisa

Great food and service! The sangria was excellent, and the churrasco was absolutely amazing—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Definitely worth coming back.

We dined in only 2 of us, when we first get into the restaurant the server told us that we could pay cash only because the credit card machine are not working and pointed to the ATM machine that they have inside the restaurant. We agreed to pay cash, Food is good, the server is actually friendly. The bill is 114$ but we got charged gratuity 18% to 134$ which we are not happy about that.I told the server that they not supposed to add gratuity and we always give a good tips. This is the first time that we got added gratuity into our bill that we both very upset. We traveled from west NJ 1.30 hr away.

Las Palmas is a great choice for a date or a night out if you’re in the mood for classic Cuban food done well. The steaks are the standout—especially the churrasco—which comes out hot, flavorful, and cooked exactly as ordered, and the tostones are crisp and addictive. Service is fast and genuinely friendly, even when the place is busy, and the energy gives it a lively but comfortable feel. Portions are generous, prices are fair for the quality, and the overall experience feels polished without being stuffy. Definitely a solid spot to come back to and easy to recommend.

Another fine Cuban restaurant on the Bergenline strip. Would have given it five stars if not for the food being a little bit on the cold side. We had the Ropa Vieja and the Pernil, both were fresh and properly seasoned and cooked. The accompanying moro rice and black beans were excellent. My only complaint is that all of our dishes could have been hotter, my guess is that their freshly made item are placed in steam tables that are near the door and on cold days like this day was, any food on top will get cold quickly. Nonetheless we enjoyed the food and friendly service and look forward to returning if they can keep the food warm.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I don’t understand how positive some of these reviews are, they must be fake. We ordered short ribs, they were hard to chew and had no flavor, even when I added table salt to it. The mashed potatoes taste like instant powder, horrible! The Cuban sandwich was dry. The avocado salad is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. They don’t even offer tap water, they charge you bottled water if you order water. The only good thing was the chicharrón. Other than that, don’t waste your money on this place.

Place is always Happy!!
Definitely the 42$ churrasco (skirt steak) is worthed! Every time I order is always come out at the temperature I ask (medium rare), but this time I got the veal churrasco, and I did enjoy that too!

Everything from the hospitality to the food was wonderful. Succulent meats, vibrant sauces, and delicious drinks. We were so satisfied when we left. Their staff is top notch. Great service model: Everyone assists with whatever table that needs it. Great rhythm. Never felt unseen.

Visited on 7/9 – Disappointed Experience

I came to Palma today (7/9) for the first time, excited to try some Latin food in the area. I ordered mofongo with chicharrón and moro rice. Unfortunately, everything on the plate—including the rice—was not only dry but tasted like it had been reheated. It looked and felt old.

A young lady passed by and kindly offered to swap the plate with no problem, which I appreciated. However, the server denied the request and instead said the best they could do was take it to the back, throw some salsa on it, and smash it down so it wouldn’t be dry. That was disappointing.

I paid my full bill because I don’t like making a scene, but I left both hungry and disappointed. Sadly, not the welcome I hoped for on my first visit.

First time visiting this place. We were a group of 14. Cindy was the main waitress attending us and she was awesome. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was very full. We ordered different plates: their specialty is skirt steak 🥩 with shrimp 🍤 and it was delicious. Also ordered veal, wings, shredded beef (vaca frita), sweet plantains, arroz congrí, fried plantains (tostones) and fries. They have my favorite: freshly squeezed orange juice. They have a variety of drinks and smoothies. The desserts were yummy: tres leches cake and flan 🍮.
