This airport is vastly improved after the construction ended. The concourses are well lit and easy to navigate. The new restaurants are very nice and the shops have a decent selection.

The view outside, while sometimes a little dirty, can be fascinating if you are interested in nature because there are some very cool birds that like to hang out in the bay. You also get a great view of the airplanes taking off and landing.

Overall it is a more pleasant experience than it was in the past.

1st time at LaGuardia but I would definitely fly in/out of there agsin!! Quick lines for security, beautiful airport with nice shops & restaurants to go to while waiting for a flight. The water display/show is a MUST!!
I LOVE this place! It has amazing scenery and so many shops, it’s like all of New York smashed into a giant building! It may be a little packed all the time but most all of this place is clean, there is even a FAO Schwartz.
I arrived at LaGuardia Airport very late at night, so most things were already closed and I didn’t really get to see how crowded the airport can get during the day. From what I saw, the airport felt clean and organized.

One thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the number of people insisting on offering rides. If you walk past the Starbucks stand and turn right, there’s a hallway that leads to the official rideshare pickup area. I definitely recommend going there unless you’re comfortable accepting a ride from the group offering them, which seemed to be operating like a taxi service.
Overall, it was still a smooth and easy airport experience.
LaGuardia Airport has gone through an incredible transformation after its renovation. The terminals are now modern, clean, and very welcoming. Its proximity to Midtown Manhattan is a huge plus — getting to the city center is quick and easy. The dining and shopping options are excellent, making layovers much more enjoyable. It's my go-to airport every time I visit New York. Highly recommend
Proof pf how to improve an airport from being one of the worst country wide to one of the best. Of course there’s much room to improve when it comes to those wintry mix weather cancelations but after the renovations this airport became beautiful and easier to travel from/thru
This Airport is very clean and organized. From the Q70 bus to TSA officer and the cleaning staff, they’re well dressed and professional with their jobs.

The new renovation at terminal B is a A+ I love it! Not to mention the conference center at Pour Authority🤌🏾
More civilized less crowded airport it seems compared to JFK and Newark. Last I used it was maybe 30 years ago and now it looks modern, welcoming, and much improved. It’s great the Q70 bus from Roosevelt 74th St subway stop is still free (though by Uber from Elmhurst is only like 10 minutes away). Coming in from elsewhere to LGA gives you this stunning view of the top of Manhattan skyscrapers, most specially at night.
Honestly, it was 100% worth the wait after 10 years of renovation — LaGuardia Airport looks incredible now.

The airport feels clean, modern, spacious, and very well designed. It’s genuinely comfortable to enter and exit, and everything makes sense in terms of flow and signage. Compared to what LGA used to be, this is a huge improvement.

My friends flew in from Orlando and I was a little nervous about picking them up because my last memory of LaGuardia was terrible traffic and total chaos. But the experience was surprisingly smooth. The parking garage is very well organized: the first level is dedicated to Uber pick-ups and drivers waiting to pick someone up, and the next level is for regular parking.

It was crowded and not the easiest place to find a spot, but I was still able to park fairly quickly — and the best part is how close the garage is to the terminal. You literally take the elevator and you’re right there. Extremely convenient.

The new facilities are great, there are plenty of services inside (including a Starbucks), and overall it feels like a completely different airport.

Congratulations to everyone involved — LaGuardia is finally a great NYC airport experience.
No special pass — just your ticket & ID: You need only your airline boarding pass and photo ID to access departure gates, lounges (if eligible) and shops after security; landside areas are open without extra permits.

• Terminals & layout: LGA now has modernized terminals (Terminals A, B and C with consolidated arrival/departure halls and clear wayfinding). Use the airport maps to find curbside, baggage and gate locations — Terminal B is the large, newly rebuilt central terminal.

• Major redevelopment completed (Central Terminal Redevelopment): Over the last several years LGA underwent an $8B transformation — new light-filled terminals, improved roadways, parking garages and modern concourses have replaced much of the old 1960s infrastructure. Expect nicer concessions, art and passenger amenities compared with the pre-redevelopment airport.

• Ground transport — buses, shuttles & Q70 “LaGuardia Link”: There is no direct heavy-rail (subway/LIRR) service to LGA. Instead use MTA bus routes (notably the Q70 LaGuardia Link and M60 SBS) that connect to subway/LIRR/Long Island Rail Road hubs — the Q70 provides a fast, frequent airport link (some bus fares/transfers rules apply). Taxis, rideshares and airport shuttles are widely used.

• No permanent rail link (plans reviewed/abandoned): A previously proposed AirTrain/rail link has been reviewed and high-cost proposals were effectively abandoned in favor of improving bus/shuttle connections — LGA remains one of the major U.S. airports without a direct rail line.

• Parking & prebooking: On-site parking (short-term, daily, premium) and a large new garage serve the terminals; online prebooking is available and recommended for busy travel dates to guarantee a spot. Expect standard airport parking rates.

• Why travelers use it: LGA’s rebuilt terminals shorten curb-to-gate times, offer strong food/retail choices and are far more pleasant than the old facilities — it’s ideal for quick NYC access when your airline flies there.

⸻

⚠️ What to keep in mind
• Traffic & timing: Road approaches (Grand Central Pkwy, local arterials) get congested — allow plenty of extra time for curbside drop-off, pick-up and taxi/rideshare transfers during peak hours.
• Gate/terminal changes happen: Airlines sometimes shift gates or operate from different concourses — always confirm your terminal and gate with the airline before leaving.
• Public-transport options improved, but not rail: Bus upgrades (Select Bus Service / Q70) and free airport link programs help, but they’re subject to traffic — build buffer time and use the Q70 when you can for faster transfers.
Flew out of here after our annual holiday trip to Long Island. The recent renovations were evident - it was quite nice. Terminal B was huge and had a ton of stores and restaurants and the layout was situated in a way where gates didn't interfere with the walkways through the terminal. The waterfall thing was neat. And there were some cool spots to watch planes from up high.
No wonder it’s been voted one of the best airports in the U.S. The new terminal is clean, modern, and well-organized — fast security, easy navigation to the gates, and plenty of natural light.

The artwork and design details really elevate the experience, making it feel less like an airport and more like a thoughtfully designed public space.
Overall, efficient, pleasant, and a huge upgrade for NYC travel.
Terminal B:

I haven’t traveled through LGA since 2019 yet noticeable modern renovations have been completed and look good.

Hub primarily for American, JetBlue, Southwest, and Frontier Airlines.

Dining:
Junior’s, Mezze, Bar 212, Bar Veloce, Dos Toros Taqueria, Tadle Noidke Bar, Green Leaf's.

Quick Grabs:
Starbucks
Hudson
Dunkin’ Donuts

Services:
Mediation Room
Be Relax Massage

Lounges:
Centurion
Chase Sapphire
American Admirals Club

Retail:
MAC
Queens Corner
Tumi
Duty Free

A pedestrian walkway connects Terminals B and C for easy movement.

One of the newer and more seamless terminals to pass through.
I haven’t flown out of here in a long time, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so patient and so polite. I fly a lot out of JFK and Newark and this was the nicest TSA check, security, and even traffic directors by far. They always said “please” and were always helpful. And the Reno looks great and clean.
Granted I got here really early and there wasn’t much of a line yet. But still I want to fly out of here more.
LaGuardia has become my go-to airport when flying in and out of NYC—no more JFK or EWR for me! The rebuild is absolutely stunning, and the attention to detail makes this a truly beautiful airport. TSA PreCheck was a breeze with no wait, and I had time to grab a few things before my flight.

Delta has really made its mark here—the design is modern, spacious, and filled with large windows that flood the terminals with natural light. Everything feels clean, organized, and easy to navigate. It honestly feels more like a world-class hub than the “old LGA” people used to complain about.

Looking forward to my next trip through here—LaGuardia has completely won me over!
