We had dinner at La Grande Boucherie last night and had an amazing experience! Our appetizers and entree were cooked to perfection, and the cocktails were fantastic! For our appetizer, we ordered the Soup À Lòignon and the prime steak tartare. For our entree, we had the Côte de Boeuf Pour Deux with pommes purée as a side. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée. Everything was wonderful! Our server was so sweet and very attentive! The restaurant is gorgeous inside. The perfect date night spot! It’s definitely a go-to restaurant in NYC! I highly recommend La Grande Boucherie and look forward to visiting again soon!

Whenever the restaurant is built inside of an atrium between two buildings in Manhattan , it gives a spectacular view and ambience. The food is typical bistro style food casual. Escargot, steak tartare, escargot 🐌, Gaspacho, etc. The food here is really good. Staff is very nice. Being in the atrium really speaks for itself that’s the main selling point. Great for date night. It’s like being in a Parisian bistro back in the early 1900s. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.
I really loved the tuna tartare—even though I’m not usually a fan, this one was surprisingly awesome. I initially ordered the salmon, but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The staff were very accommodating and kind enough to replace it, and I ended up switching to scallops instead, which were perfectly cooked and served just right.

My absolute favorite, though, was the profiteroles—it completely stole the show. Light, decadent, and perfectly balanced, it was the highlight of the entire meal. The atmosphere also deserves mention: very grand, elegant, and undeniably classy, which made the whole dining experience feel special from start to finish.
I went to La Grande Boucherie last night with my friend and had such a great experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and really sets the tone for a perfect night out. I ordered three La Vie en Rose cocktails which were amazing. I also ordered the French onion soup, steak frites, and cheesecake and everything was absolutely delicious and well prepared.

What really made the night stand out was our waiter, Dragana. She was incredibly friendly and attentive. She had great energy. Her humor made the whole experience even more enjoyable and she truly went above and beyond to take care of us which we really appreciated :)

I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place. We will be going there again this week for dinner
La Grande Boucherie is a beautiful spot for brunch. The service was attentive, and the food was excellent m. The mimosas were also a highlight and definitely worth ordering.

The space itself is stunning, with an Art Nouveau design that makes the entire experience feel special. From the oyster bar to every corner of the dining room, everything is thoughtfully decorated and visually impressive.

The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and lively without being overwhelming. I would absolutely recommend it for brunch with friends, family, or any occasion where you want a memorable setting.
My server Camilo for breakfast was amazing, always checking on me and making sure my food was good. Portions are not that big but I also noticed that some people ordered an omelette or even the eggs benedict and they both had a pretty decent portion. Their croissants(I personally tried the butter one) was ok, it was crispy but not much of butter in there and a bit dry. Their cocktails (I only tried the mimosa and the cucumber one, dont remember the name) mimosa’s wine was actually good, but seems like the orange juice was a bit diluted. Other drink was refreshing but a seems like it could have a more refreshing flavor. Coffee was great actually! Get a cappuccino!
Again overall my experience was good, staff very friendly and nice . I will come back for dinner next time!
La Grande Boucherie: A Standout Pre-Theater Gem (January 2024)
My partner and I visited La Grande Boucherie in January 2024, catching an early dinner before a show. We decided to take advantage of their pre-theater menu, and it honestly ended up being a highlight of our trip. For the price, it was a fantastic deal—one of the best values we’ve found for a set menu in Manhattan, and easily one of our favorite dining experiences in the city.

The food really hit the mark across the board. The mussels were incredibly fresh and served in a rich, savory broth that we couldn't stop dipping our bread into. The steak frites was a total win as well; the steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked to a flawless medium-rare, paired with those classic, crispy bistro-style frites. To finish, we tried both dessert options on the menu, and both were delicious. It was the perfect high note to end on before heading to the theater.

What really pulled the whole experience together was the service, which remained attentive and professional despite the pre-theater rush. The timing was handled perfectly for our curtain call, allowing us to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. The atmosphere at La Grande Boucherie is stunning, with its soaring ceilings and bustling French brasserie energy. If you’re looking for a reliable spot near the theater district that actually delivers on quality and value, this is it. Even two years later, we still talk about this meal.
Amazing food and atmosphere! The aged steak and duck leg were standout dishes, and the beef tartare was incredibly fresh. A big thanks to Ozzy for the fantastic service and recommendations! He was friendly, efficient, and made us feel very welcome. We’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic French meal with standout service from Sophia. The oysters were incredibly fresh (Island Creek were standout! Briny and crispy), the shrimp cocktail perfectly chilled, and the canard rich and expertly cooked. What needs to be commended is Sophia’s exceptional attentiveness—present, thoughtful, and consistently a step ahead without hovering. She made the entire experience smoother, warmer, and more memorable.
We brought a bunch of friends from over sea for dinner and the staff was super kind and accommodating. Our waiter Jonathan was great and very helpful with explaining the menu. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the lattes (with hearts)were a great way to end the meal.
La Grande Boucherie is such a beautiful dining experience. The decor is absolutely stunning and truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a charming restaurant in Paris. The ambiance alone is worth visiting, and the bar is especially gorgeous and elegant.

The food was just as incredible as the atmosphere. We shared the bone marrow, which was outstanding, and the caramelized onion dip it came with was such a delicious and unique touch. We also ordered steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection tender, flavorful, and literally melted in your mouth. Even the French fries were amazing and perfectly done.

The service was also excellent. The staff was very attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Everything from the ambiance to the food and service made this such a memorable experience. I would absolutely recommend La Grande Boucherie to anyone looking for amazing French cuisine in a stunning setting
Such an amazing experience. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the patio has beautiful indoor views, especially with the holiday decor, but be aware that the patio is very cold during the winter time, even though it is "in doors" it is not very temperature controlled. Inside there is also great seating in front of the bar and upstairs with views below. The food was also deliscios but the drinks stole the show, they were very uniquely crafted and insanely good. Our server Ryan provides us great recommendation and amazing service. There is a lot of great food in NYC but this has now become one of my favorite places, I will be back.
We had dinner at La Grande Boucherie, and overall it was a great experience.

The food was excellent — everything we ordered was super delicious and very well prepared. You can really feel the quality and attention to detail in the main dishes.

The service also deserves a special mention. Our server was very professional, calm, and genuinely attentive — not only to us, but to all the tables around. It was noticeable how smoothly and patiently he handled everything, even when the restaurant was busy.

The only downside was the waiting. Even with a reservation, we had to wait about 30 minutes outside before being seated, which was a bit frustrating.

Unfortunately, desserts were the weakest part of the experience. We ordered the profiteroles — the quality itself was good, but the filling inside was frozen, which really took away from the enjoyment.

Overall, amazing food and very professional service, but the waiting time and desserts could definitely be improved. Still a place worth visiting, especially for the main courses.
We had the most magical evening at La Grande Boucherie thanks to Jose and Bench— it truly turned into the highlight of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the elegant art-nouveau décor, the soaring glass ceilings, and the festive Christmas spirit that filled every corner. Bench and José treated us like royalty: warm, attentive, and so knowledgeable — their kindness and care really made the night special.

We came in thinking we’d stop for just one drink — but with the inviting atmosphere and delicious ambiance, we stayed for cocktails, appetizers, and laughter with a friend we had met at the airport. The appetizers & drinks were fantastic, and lingering a little longer felt totally right.

La Grande Boucherie is perfect for anyone looking for gorgeous surroundings, thoughtful service, and a cozy “unexpected night out” that becomes something unforgettable. Highly recommend — especially if you want a place that feels like a little slice of Paris wrapped in holiday magic. 🎄✨
One of the best brunch/lunch spots I had in all of New York - already miss it!
La Grande Boucherie is breathtaking the second you walk in. That massive, gorgeous bar is straight out of a dream and the whole dining room feels like a glamorous Parisian brasserie on steroids. It gets busy very quickly (especially on weekends), but they're super prepared for walk-ins. There's a huge, comfortable waiting area with plenty of seating if you don't feel like standing at the bar. We waited about 20-25 minutes without a reservation and it was totally pleasant. We ended up having a cocktail anyway because the bar is just too stunning to resist!
Food was absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was perfectly executed and came out fast. Flavors were rich, portions were generous, and every plate looked almost too pretty to eat.
Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm even though the place was packed. The energy is lively and fun but still feels elegant, the ideal brunch vibe.
Honestly, La Grande Boucherie was one of the highlights of my NYC trip. If you want spectacular setting with great food and solid service, run don't walk. Make a reservation if you can, but even if you have to wait, there's plenty of comfortable space and the experience is 100% worth it.
Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the city!
