Amazing royal Thai spot in Williamsburg!
Royal Pad Thai has excellent wok hei, Gaeng Puu crab curry is fragrant & great with rice. Crispy Larb Pla branzino tossed in fresh lime herbs hits different. Shrimp cakes, crab fried rice & purple dumplings are all fantastic. Nice ambiance for dates, big portions, will come back!

Have had this saved in my restaurants list for a while and strolled in after a gallery opening down the street since my friends and I needed a bite. I expected it to be good but this place is beyond deserving of all the 5 star reviews. On top of the impeccable service and cozily intimate yet refined ambience, the food is stellar. Everything was flavorfully seasoned and cooked perfectly while the presentation alone is enough to keep you coming back for more. Chor Muang (purple flower shaped dumplings) was a highlight of the meal for obvious reasons. Truly one of New York’s greatest authentic Thai food experiences. Cannot recommend enough.

this is one of the hidden gems in williamsburg! they really do know how to make authentic Thai curry (not just putting coconut milk and some paste).

we tried a few things. my most favorite is tae po curry (with pork belly and morning glory). this is so rare and very hard to find in NYC and they do it perfectly.

the place is rather small. the decor is super cute and royal-like. i would go back and try other dishes!

Kaew Jao Jorm is my new favorite Thai restaurant! I’m shocked it wasn’t packed when we went. Every dish we ordered was so flavorful and delicious. We ordered the pandan lemongrass juice, yum som o (pomelo salad), phla pla too (Thai mackerel), goong sa rong (jumbo shrimp wrapped with crispy noodle), gaeng poo (crab curry), and the Thai gnocchi. Highly recommend the gaeng poo - it was so good my cousin wanted to lick the plate 😂

GODDAMN this is probably the best thai meal in usa i have ever had. the squid was so fresh so flavorful, don’t think ive had squid so tender ever my whole life. they also give you rice to eat food w which is helpful (it was hella spicy i was lowk dying) the dumplings were also so fire, so tender, but my only complaint was that they were small. atmosphere is so nice, it is so nicely decorated. definitely more of a dinner spot than a lunch spot tho. forgot that dining in nyc is EXPENSIVE but honestly if you split some entrees it is absolutely so worth the buck. would so come back

I discovered Kaew Jao Jorm by chance while in Williamsburg, and it turned out to be a wonderful Thai dining experience. The restaurant focuses on Royal Thai cuisine, and the dishes feel refined with well-balanced flavors and layered spices without being overly heavy.

The highlight for me was the Pad Kee Mao. The broad rice noodles had an amazing texture, soft yet slightly chewy, unlike most versions I’ve tried. The seafood was fresh, especially the shrimp, which were tender and paired beautifully with the basil and chili aromatics.

The Yum Som O (pomelo salad) was also excellent. The pomelo segments were juicy and refreshing, mixed with mint, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves. The chili lime dressing added a bright acidity that balanced the natural sweetness of the fruit.

We also ordered two curries. The soft-shell crab curry had a crispy coating while the crab meat remained tender inside, soaking up the rich curry sauce that practically begs to be eaten with rice. The roasted duck curry with lychee and pineapple had a subtle sweetness that brightened the coconut curry and created a very nice balance between richness and freshness.

Overall, the dishes felt thoughtful and well-executed. From the refreshing salad to the flavorful curries, everything had great depth. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy Thai cuisine in NYC.

Very cute and romantic and food was amazing. The wontons were fresh and juicy with the lettuce to wrap, the crab curry was chefs kiss and the seafood Pad Kee Mao had a deliciously kick. Rice Noodles were so buttery! 10/10

Incredible Thai restaurant. The flavors and colors of the dishes were memorable. The service was also very attentive and we loved the homeyness of the how they serve (unlimited) rice on your plate.

Overall great spot. The decor, table setting, vibe and service are really on point so gorgeous. I would recommend the gaeng poo which is a coconut based curry with a whole soft shell crab and the pad see ew. One of the best pad see ews I’ve ever had. Honestly didn’t love either appetizer they were more just aesthetic. The rice is unlimited which is pretty nice especially for eating with the curry. I’d definitely recommend this place. It’s pretty small if you have more than two people you should reserve.

Firstly, as soon as you walk into the place, you feel like royalty! It’s a cozy space but very well decorated, you can tell the design was carefully thought through. Besides the decor of the place, the presentation of the food was also great.

I had the purple flower dumplings which had a chicken and peanut filling that was delicious with the perfect hint of sweetness. Also, the lump crab meat salad was perfect as I wasn’t too hungry and came recommended by my waitress, Amy, as her favorite. The salad had a perfect savory and sweet combo with the grapes and tomatoes. It was a bit on the spicy side for me but still very flavorful. I’m not a fan of spicy food so Amy asked them not to top it with chili as they normally do, which I was very grateful for. Amy also recommended the Thai Tea which happens to be one of my favorites, definitely didn’t disappoint.

Amy’s service was impeccable and we had a great conversation about my visit to Thailand and the foods I enjoyed while there. Highly recommend dining here!

10/10 across the board. I loved the crab fish cakes and crab curry. They don’t skimp on the crab for both! The red ruby dessert was warm, crunchy, and not too sweet. And of course, you must get the royal flower dumplings. There’s also unlimited jasmine rice with the entrees. Aesthetically well designed space as well!

This restaurant might be the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to!
It’s small but also very intimate. The time limit per table is 75 minutes, but it was not an issue for us at all. The food came out very quickly, and everything was nice and warm and fresh.
We ordered the shrimp cake, gaeng poo, and the duck breast curry. I liked all of the dishes. The Thai iced tea is also great!
The customer service was also amazing, as the staff checked in on us throughout the meal and offered rice refills.
I’m very happy to have visited this restaurant, especially on the first day of a new year in 2026 🌟
