We have been eating at Juliana in Brooklyn for over a decade and it is still the best pizza in our view. They still have the original hand crafted brick oven for their pizza. Their pizzas come out piping hot with creamy cheese and crispy thin crust. The meatballs are tender and flavorful. The cream soda was smooth and refreshing. They also offer good selection of wines to pair it with pizza. Their service is fast and friendly

With all the high reviews we saw we thought this would be an amazing place to eat New York Pizza! We were so wrong about that. Not able to see the hype after being here. Pizza was just pizza! Being many places, this just didn't cut it for us.

Service wasn't all that great. Took a long time to get seated, then took forever to place our order, then another 20 minutes to get our pizzas.

Love the area they are in. Next time well visit another pizza place other then these guys.
Very disappointing experience.

This place is very famous, so we made a special trip to try it, but the actual experience did not live up to the hype at all. The pizza was disappointing — the crust, sauce, and cheese felt completely separated instead of coming together as one balanced pizza. We even added extra mozzarella, but there was still very little cheese. I honestly can’t imagine what it would have been like without the extra cheese.

For the price and reputation, it really does not feel worth a special trip. To be honest, many ordinary slice shops in New York serve pizza that tastes more natural, more satisfying, and better overall.

The service was also almost nonexistent. During the meal, it was difficult to find anyone even when we simply wanted some water. The overall experience felt inattentive and not welcoming.

Maybe this place attracts a lot of people because of its history and reputation, but based on this visit, I really don’t think it is worth waiting in line for or making a special trip. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal
We arrived at Juliana’s with empty bellies but hearts full of hope. We’ve learned by now Juliana’s is a place we can slow down a bit, let our guard down and count on an experience that is warm and satisfying. This afternoon, we again were not disappointed. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, an arugula and prosciutto pizza and an order of meatballs. Of course, everything was exquisite. Cooked to perfection, a perfect crust provides a base to the toppings of your choosing and for us, this was the way to go on this particular afternoon. The arugula and prosciutto pizza was light and fresh and refreshing even while the pepperoni brought a certain weight that you appreciate, without being overbearing. Meatballs were cooked with care arriving to the table covered in tomato sauce. Service was impeccable as always. Can’t wait to come back.
We visited on a Sunday as a group of three and were seated immediately there were only two tables occupied inside. We ordered a large Margarita pizza. Seeing the oven made me hopeful but unfortunately the pizza fell well below my expectations. The crust was thin and although the portion size looked large the sauce did not reflect a traditional flavor. Additionally, the basil topping was added at the beginning of the cooking process which is not technically correct it burned in the oven and negatively affected the taste. However, the atmosphere was clean and the service was good.
This was the best classic pizza I had in New York.
The queue was quite long, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Both the atmosphere and the service were top-notch.
The pizza itself was outstanding - perfectly balanced ingredients, great quality, and a really well-executed thin crust with a nice crisp yet still soft inside.
We were one of the first customers seated, and right away we noticed how clean and welcoming the environment felt. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, which made the experience even better.

Our server, Yakima (I hope I’m spelling that correctly!), was such a sweetheart. She was attentive, patient, and incredibly helpful while we tried to decide what to order. We weren’t sure which pizzas to choose, and she suggested getting two small pizzas and doing them half-and-half — which was the perfect idea. One of them was half white and half traditional sauce with pepperoni and prosciutto.

You could truly taste the freshness in every bite. The ingredients were flavorful, high quality, and not overly heavy. It was satisfying without feeling too filling, which we loved.

Between the delicious pizza and Yakima’s kind customer service, we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
Delicious coal fired pizza. Simple. Great flavor. Ring Ding has good flavor but a bit small for $8
I was a little hesitant on visiting Juliana's at first when there are so many other options to choose from, however, we were in a bind and hungry. Juliama's far exceeded my expectations and if I'm honest, it has been one of my favorite pizzas so far in NY. First, we didnt have reservation amd were able to walk right in and get a seat (keep in mind this a Thursday night in February) Wanted to keep it simple, so just ordered the Margherita Pizza and added garlic. Pizza came out very quickly and the pie looked and tasted amazing. The pizza was very light so didnt walk away feeling overstuffed, however, it had so much flavor and they clearly use quality ingredients. The sauce was on the sweeter side but it paired well with the rest of the ingredients. The place itself seemed like a quintessential NY pizza joint and was buzzing which gave it a nice vibe. Would love to come back if I had more time!
Possibly one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life! We waited in the freezing cold to get a seat, but they did have heat lamps out front that helped out🥶 the wait was absolutely worth it and I would do it all over again for one of these incredible slices! Great presentation inside, staff were amazing, plus you got to see them cook right in front of you!! This was one of my highlights on the trip and made me feel like i was in Newyork! Great work guys 🇺🇸 Brooklyn!!!!!
What a great place! We were in NYC for our anniversary and had to narrow down the plethora of eating choices, we are so glad Juliana's made the cut! Great service, great tasting pizza, and the place was awesome! We got the white pizza and added arugula. They had a table when we got there, but they were pretty full. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge afterward, what a lovely way to spend the evening! Thanks for dinner
🥘: 7.5/10. The first pizza that I have tried in New York City! We got a number 6 special Pizza, with grilled chicken, mozzarella, white cheddar and homemade guacamole! I really enjoy the thin crust, a nice smoky crunch and their distinctive oven taste are everything! The guacamole is smooth, flavorful and seasoned nicely! Me and my friend both think that it would be nicer if the pizza has more sauce to it tho. We got a large pizza for around $36. The two of us couldn't finish the whole thing and we have to take a couple pieces to go with us!

🧑🏻🍳: 7/10: nice service and all the waiters were very kind! We got in line around 5:15 in the afternoon and waited for around 30 minutes to get a table.

📍: 9/10: Very easy to find! Right in Brooklyn, close to time out market. I love their lighting inside a restaurant because it is dim, perfect for a date night and I do see a lot of couples there!
Decent pizza, but not worth the hype. Do come if you want to check it off your list, otherwise, it's worth a skip.
Cramped seating, decent service but not particularly friendly, asked for more water but never got it.
Pizza had alright flavor but ingredients didn't seem fresh and was over cooked, thicker than expected, chewy, and needed more cheese. Not a terrible pie but I've gotten way better NY pizza than this not even in NY.
On my very first trip to New York City, I did tons of research and watched countless YouTube travel videos. One influencer raved about Juliana’s, so I arrived with sky-high expectations.

I truly wanted to fall in love with it; after all, it was our first sit-down meal in the city. The pizza was solid and enjoyable, but nothing extraordinary or memorable.

Perhaps it was just an off day, or maybe the style simply wasn’t to my taste. Despite all the glowing online reviews Juliana’s receives, I left feeling underwhelmed.

On the plus side, the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and bustling, with an authentic New York energy. You can watch the chefs tending the glowing red brick oven while the room hums with lively conversation.
Truly an incredible pizza experience. The best right by the Brooklyn bridge with pizza so fresh and ingredients that truly are balanced and seem to dance in your mouth. I took visiting family here and all agreed that I ruined pizza for them going forward because where are they going to have such a pizza again?
