I love Jollibee. I even tried to work at a location in Brooklyn :) but unfortunately the staff was unprofessional and were teasing me by gossiping about me while I was next to them along with fat jokes. Similar service here gossiping but I’m Chinese and in Hong Kong a lot of Philippines people are homeless at the bottlom of the hill looking for housekeeping job at the top of the hill so I understand the frustration of my presence and the desire to make me uncomfortable with racism. I hope they can treat all clients the same in the future and chose to do something happy instead. BEST GRAVY AT THIS LOCATION. Journal Square location has too much salt.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experiences and feedback about Jollibee, Justine. We're glad to hear how much you enjoy the food, especially the gravy at this location. At the same time, we're sorry to hear about your concerns regarding treatment and service at certain locations and understand how upsetting those interactions must have been for you. Your perspective is valuable, and we appreciate your honesty in bringing these matters to light. Thank you again for sharing, and we hope your future visits bring only positivity.

Went to Jollibee a few times with my husband and honestly, the food never disappoints. It’s really good every single time, no question about that.

But the experience isn’t always it. There were times the ordering kiosks weren’t working, which is already a bit frustrating. Then one of the cashiers had a pretty bad attitude. She even rolled her eyes at my husband while he was talking, which was just unnecessary.

I get that working in food service can be exhausting, but that’s not really an excuse to treat customers like that. Hopefully management steps in and works on customer service a bit.

Great food, but the service can definitely use some improvement.

First off the crunch to the chicken was incredible and it was juicy but other that that I wasn't blown away with the flavor. Granted I chose plain original, I thought I'd at least get a seasoned taste instead of just a crispy crunchy batter. The biscuit is very similar to that of Popeyes....very dry. The fries were that of the typical fast food burger spot. Not bad. The pie though reminded me of the cheap fruit filled pies you'd get out of a bodega. Overall it was fine. Pretty equal to the competition.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the crunch and juiciness of the chicken. However, we understand your experience with the flavor, biscuit, fries, and pie didn't fully meet your expectations. Your thoughts are valued and will be taken into consideration. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your review, and we hope to serve you again in the future.

Decent chicken. Portion sizes vary a little too much. Out of sauce. Forgot our drink

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We're glad you enjoyed the chicken, and we appreciate your feedback about the portion sizes. Your input helps us improve and deliver a better experience.

Store looks nice inside, a lot of seating and good space. I paid 12 dollars for a chicken tender combo, comes with a drink and fries. The wait was ridiculous though. Four - 5 people in the kitchen/register, chatting a lot. Yet I had to wait 10 minutes for a three piece combo that was not hot. I hear great things about their fried chicken, but after this I will not be eating jollibee moving forward.

• Visited with my aunt after meeting up at Times Square
• Ordered spicy chickenjoy with biscuit and coleslaw, plus spicy chicken burger - everything was delicious and reminded me of home 🇵🇭
• Coleslaw dressing was too watery and could use more vegetables
• Spicy chickenjoy leg portion was smaller than expected
• Planning to try the spaghetti, palabok, and ube pie on my next visit
• Staff were friendly and attentive
• Small dining area fills up quickly and gets crowded

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a 5-star review, come by again soon ☺️

This 8th Avenue Jollibee location only serves their chicken entrees and sandwiches. (The Times Square location offers burgers as well.) I have been recently ordering their 3 piece tenders meal with either mashed potatoes and gravy, white rice, or cole slaw as the side, though they also offer McDonald’s-like fries. Despite the name, the box of tenders usually includes 4 or 5 white meat tenders which can be different sizes. (Unlike McDonald’s the tenders are each different in appearance.) Several sauces are available but I get the small gravy. My included dessert choice is the ube pie (purple sweet potato) rather than the peach-mango. I have also enjoyed the spicy leg/thigh two-piece meal which is truly spicy and with large pieces of dark meat chicken. There are more expensive sides including spaghetti (with ground meat and hotdog slices and a sweet smoky flavor), mac & cheese, and adobo (dirty) rice. I usually get a soft drink but they offer fruit quenchers and other drinks. All in all the best chicken of any fast-serve chain! There is a single public restroom and the key is held at either the front desk or by security.

Response from the owner

Hi Robert! So happy you had a 5-star experience! Glad you loved the food. We look forward to serving you again!

I visited a popular Philippines-based chain on 8th Avenue in New York, known globally for its famous fried chicken, spaghetti, and burgers. I ordered spicy fried chicken and a spicy chicken burger, and the spicy fried chicken was excellent.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the spicy fried chicken and appreciated its excellence. Your positive feedback means a lot, and we hope you visit again soon!

Finally got a chance to try out this location. My 2nd time feasting on Jollibee’s.

A bite of chicken dipped in gravy and I can understand the joy involved. YES YES & YES…

The chicken is not overly fried, the meat is juicy & succulent. The spicy 🌶️ flavor is up there. It’s chicken on another level. 👍👍

PROS:
1) great flavor & texture
2) gravy makes it better
3) the biscuit is buttery delicious
4) fast service

CONS:
1) a bit pricier than its peers, $17.41 for a 3 piece combo.
2) the mash potato side is small
3) venue has limited seating

Response from the owner

Hi Frugal! We appreciate feedback like yours! It helps us keep serving up delicious meal and friendly service that our customers love.

Tried it for the first time. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was actually pretty good. I just don’t understand why it’s eaten with gravy. The fries were quite disappointing. They were too dried and not crispy enough.

Response from the owner

Noted! We'll pass that on to the team. We're so pleased you enjoyed eating with us! Thank you so much for your kind feedback ❤️

Never had the chicken from this location before, and it was a nice change of pace from other chicken-based chains.

This is NYC, so the place was crowded, mostly with tourists who wait to get to the register before they start the 15 min. task of deciding what to order.

If you can make up your mind in line, the staff seem to appreciate that, and overall they seemed nice and moving quickly to try to deal with all the orders they had to fill.

Food, to me, was better than Cain's or other chicken places, especially the sides...they didn't taste like injection-molded plastic, gravy was nice, chicken was tasty and nothing was over salted.

Overall worth a try to see if you like it and need a quick meal to fill you up as you're wandering around the city.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your detailed review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the chicken and sides and found the flavors to stand out compared to other chains. It's great to know the food met your expectations.

We acknowledge your feedback about the crowded atmosphere and the experience with other customers deciding at the register—your insight is valuable, and it's appreciated that you noted the staff's effort in handling orders efficiently. Your recommendation for those looking for a quick meal in NYC is appreciated as well.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience!

Jollibee – Fried Chicken

Came back as promised to try the famous fried chicken from this Filipino franchise. The place has a fun vibe, though it feels a little cramped—maybe just because it’s always packed with people. I went for the Spicy Chicken, and wow… it totally lives up to the name. The coating is thin and crispy, full of spice, while the meat inside is tender and juicy.

Service is what you’d expect from a fast-food spot—quick and straightforward. One tip: if you want ketchup or chili sauce, you have to ask for it, and they’ll give it to you in packets. Flavor-wise though, this might just be the best spicy fried chicken I’ve had so far in New York. I’ll definitely be back to try the other menu items—but for now, the Spicy Chicken is the star, and you shouldn’t miss it.

Response from the owner

You must come back soon because we loved the review! We are so glad everything was delicious. Thank you so much ☺️

There new chicken tenders and sauce taste like Cane's. Mac & Cheese is so good. Jollibee is probably one of the only major chains that puts jalapeños on their spicy chicken sandwich. Peach mango pie is perfectly crisp with delicious filling in the middle. Their world famous pineapple quencher is a must. Their meal deal is probably one of the best and most justifiable one out there. Sandwich, side, drink, and dessert

Response from the owner

Hi Kimberly! Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the new chicken tenders, mac & cheese, spicy chicken sandwich, peach mango pie, and pineapple quencher. It’s also great to know you found value in our meal deal. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we truly appreciate your kind words!

First time at Jollibee, had to try a couple of sandwiches (a Deluxe Sandwich and a Bacon & Cheese Chicken Sandwich) with a side of mashed potato with gravy. The food is good but not outstanding, I mean it’s pretty much what you expect to find in a chicken-based fast food restaurant, nothing remarkable but way more than acceptable. The place is clean, the music is good (mostly house music when I visited), staff is friendly, attentive and efficient! It’s a great alternative to more famous chains.

Response from the owner

Thank you for visiting Jollibee for the first time and taking the moment to share your experience. We're glad to hear you found our restaurant clean, enjoyed the ambiance, and were pleased with the friendly and efficient service provided by our staff. Your observation regarding the food matches our goal to provide satisfying meals, and we appreciate you recognizing us as a great alternative in the fast-food scene. Should you choose to dine with us again, we hope to continue meeting your expectations.

Love Jollibee, but this branch wasn’t the best experience. Our order took almost 40 minutes, even though we were told the Chickenjoy would take around 20 minutes to prepare. The front seating was full, so we tried sitting in the back but were stopped by an employee, who said dining was closed—despite being asked if our order was for dine-in or takeout. Thankfully, they let us stay, but the wait time and seating issue were frustrating. Hoping for better service next time.

Response from the owner

Thank you for rating us, Erick! We hope we can earn that 5th star next time.
