Jacob, you are a mastermind!! Food, service, atmosphere, and experience: 5 stars across the board ⭐️ Definitely recommend the poutine (massive) and hot honey fried chicken. Jason was our server and he was exceptional and very welcoming so shout out to him for making our tourist experience amazing! Make yourself a chain and come to Canada!! 🇨🇦

You don't have to love pickles or pickling but you should!
Their Pickled Sampler which includes: 3-4 different types of pickles, String Beans, Carrots, Beets and Jalapeños is exquisite! It's a lot, very shareable! Shared with table of six (6) & STILL had to take home leftovers.
Deviled Eggs are pillowy clouds of savoriness.
Smoked Okra and Chiles are a must! With slivers of smoked Garlic to accompany and enhance.
The Maple Chicken (Tenders) and French Challah Bread were humongous and enough to feed an army!
The Grits and Collards need help, hence the 4 versus 5 stars. Grits need to be a more coarse stoneground versus the Cream of Wheat texture with more salt to give flavor!
The Collards that are combined with the Black Eyed Peas need the Smokiness that was in the Peas, along with a finer cut, a tad more salt and more stewing for that real Pot Licka'!
If you're doing Southern, it must be all-the-way RIGHT!
The Smothered Chicken and Homemade Biscuits and the Regular did need the sauces to take the flavor UP (from Barbecue to Buffalo.)
The Elote (Grilled Corn) with Pickled Jalapeños was slammin'!
The Homemade Biscuit Special was Blueberry Lemon, which was turned into a warm Bread Pudding, topped with Vanilla ice cream. The portion was enough to share with our Table of 6, with a bit leftover.
Street parking only so Sundays are your friend.
Service is exceptional, swift and personable. For large parties, you must check-in with at least 3.
JP is a definite NY must! 🗽 🍎

I recently visited Jacob's Pickles and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for brunch or dinner with friends. The portions are huge, the biscuits were amazing, and the fried chicken and mac and cheese were delicious comfort food favorites.
Service was friendly and attentive, even while busy. It can get loud and crowded, but that’s part of the energetic NYC vibe. Overall, a great spot if you’re craving hearty Southern-style comfort food on the Upper West Side.

Absolutely massive space with a nicely cooled indoors and a separated outdoor area if you’re looking for a nice breeze. The staff here are plentiful and also very helpful, and this is a solid spot if you need to reserve for a large party.

The biscuit sandwich is listed as a sandwich but I wasn’t able to pick it up at all since the bottom completely fell apart, but it was just fine with a fork and knife. Seems like there’s a solid menu of other things so worth checking out with a group.

Great food, great service. Went in with my friend for lunch with a reservation on a Saturday and were seated promptly. Our food came out fast and was delicious! I got the Sausage Gravy Smother Chicken with Biscuits and my buddy got the Buffalo Chicken Mac. Both were incredible and we had enough left over to take home. Only reason we didn't finish the food there is because the portions are so generous.

It was good! The oreo biscuit was incredible and probably my favorite part of the meal. The pickles themselves were awesome as well. I think their basic biscuit is pretty bland and lackluster, and i ended up eating most of my breakfast without it. The portions are HUGE though, so come hungry! Our waiter warned us and we were still quite shocked.

Extremely hospitable staff. Service was excellent. The food was delicious. I had the baby back ribs with the pickle slaw & potato salad & a root beer float which I haven’t had in forever! The root beer float really brought me back, it was a very nice touch to my meal. This place is enormous I didn’t realize how much seating is available prior to coming. Seating is comfy, cushions on the bar stools. Loved the selection of music. I also took note they have a private dining area in their Whiskey Room which is great to know for future reference. I’ll definitely be back to try the pickles & the desserts. Thank you JP!

Brunch at Jacob’s Pickles was a great vibe. The strawberry jam cocktail was delicious (just wish it had a little more alcohol). Buffalo mac and cheese and chicken Caesar wrap were tasty, but the chicken was a bit hard in both. The Oreo pudding was HUGE, perfect for sharing. Music was nostalgic 2000s hip hop/R&B, and our waiter Darrick was super friendly and attentive. Loved the ambiance and would definitely come back to try more items.

Nice evening. Food was good; everyone mentions the huge serving sizes. Service great. Just disappointing the star-attraction dessert options were already limited before 8pm!

I’m usually wary of trendy spots because the food is often over-salted or spicy without any actual substance. Jacob’s Pickles is the complete opposite. You can actually taste the layers of flavor in every bite.

The atmosphere is a huge draw—it’s bright and cozy, but still has this subtle hint of romance that makes it perfect for a date or a nice dinner out. It’s rare to find a place that balances a great vibe with truly delicious, well-balanced food. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Delicious! That’s all you need to hear. I had fried chicken and biscuit with mushroom gravy and cheese grits as the side. Amazing! So full from delicious appetizers that I didn’t have enough room to do it justice! If you want something out of midtown, definitely give them a try! Amazing!

Incredible brunch spot. Delicious cocktails and food. Great selection of fun biscuit sandwiches and hot honey chicken with challah bread. Our server Emma was super nice and informative. Big space with cool atmosphere. Would definitely come back for the huge brunch portions, or for dinner to try a flight from their amazing whiskey collection!

Been coming to Jacob’s pickles and their other establishments for many years since 2015. Their food and service is genuinely top tier. Post covid, I noticed the food was still good but didn’t have the same taste, love, and attention it had when I originally started going there. I know that sounds silly but when I came back and visited the new location and was stunned by how big it was but still had the Jacob’s pickles charm. I have to say that their food this time around took me right back to my memories when I first started visiting. Stunning and delicious! My guests who came from out of town loved it too!

Amazing food and vibe! We went for a weekend brunch at 10am and the place was already very lively. We got the Southern BLT and sausage egg and cheese biscuit and both were delicious. I would totally order the Southern BLT again and it was the standout at our table. The grits weren’t great because they were too watery but everything else was superb

I deeply enjoyed Jacob’s pickles. What a fun atmosphere. The deviled eggs were lovely, and the pickles were delicious. They had a very interesting pickle biscuit beer. I loved the biscuits, especially the pumpkin ones. The mini pecan pie was also to die for! I would recommend coming here for sure. It does get busy on the weekends so plan ahead! We had the pleasure of meeting Jacob, who is so kind and loved hearing more about the story behind the place.
