Amazing food! Amazing service! Joseph our waiter was the best! He was great with my gluten free allergy! Took very great care with all of us! They can replace any pasta with Gluten free options! Very clean! Loved the host! Very welcoming! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful Easter dinner of Asiago stuffed mushrooms and Chicken Scarpariello (roast chicken, sweet sausage, potatoes, mushrooms and herbs finished with white wine).
The ambiance is lovely. There are marble statues representing the four seasons and a stunning atrium.
But the best part of Il Cortile is the staff, astute, pleasant and catering to your every wish.
I even saw some Easter bunnies there ....

Family went on a trip to NYC a few weeks ago (first time for kids in NYC) and I did a lot of scouting to find a good place in Little Italy to bring them for dinner. Glad I decided on Il Cortile. First impression, the restaurant was very nice inside sitting in the atrium/garden area. Great lighting, not noisy. Second, the service was 2nd to none. Attentive at the right times. Accommodating - offered more "kid friendly" items not on the menu, but hey what is more kid friendly than Italian? 3rd, food was great. The fried cheese, clams in white sauce, veal, and the dessert was amazing (super cheesecake). Would recommend!

Thank you Kevin. We appreciate your review.

The service was great. Nice but some young woman classic designer needs to remove some of the old school decor. The pasta was nice light but flavorful. The fruits de mar was large and full of seafood. We did the special shrimp app and halibut along with a chicken piccata

Response from the owner

Thanks Daniel.

We had pesto pasta and panna alla vodka. Both were really good. We also had margarita pizza and I loved it.

Came here for lunch on Christmas day and the experience was incredible. The place looked so cozy and the food was very good. Servers were a bit clumsy sometimes with their movements but tried to compensate it with positive attitude.
Dishes sizes varied. Some were large (penne, spaghetti) some were quite tiny (ravioli or gnocchi).
All in all a great place

Response from the owner

Thank you for your review. Merry Christmas and we hope you have a wonderful New Year!

Spending Christmas at Il Cortile, in the heart of Little Italy, was a magical experience. From the entrance you are enveloped by a unique Christmas atmosphere, cared for in every detail, capable of making you feel inside a fairy tale between tradition, warmth and authentic holiday spirit.

The food was simply delicious, full of authentic flavors and prepared with great attention to quality. Each dish tells of the real Italian cuisine, the one that warms the heart as well as the palate.

The impeccable staff, professional and always smiling, contributed to making the evening perfect. A special thanks goes to Tommy, the owner: a true gentleman, present, welcoming and passionate, capable of transmitting love for his restaurant and for every guest.

The Courtyard is not just a restaurant, but an experience to live, especially during the Christmas period. Absolutely recommended ✨🇮🇹

An absolute gem in Little Italy! This family-owned Italian restaurant was nothing short of divine. In our visit to little Italy this restaurant was everything we could’ve wanted and more our server was extremely knowledgeable friendly and accommodating, he even recommended a special that was not in the menu to accommodate our dietary needs, this restaurant truly has it all, amazing service, quality, and vibe. To make things even better, the food was the best Italian I have ever had. Truly an unforgettable experience, will definitely visit again when back in NYC! Thank you so much!!!

Delicious! The ricotta/spinach stuffed gnocchi was the best. The penne alla vodka with sausage was delicious as well as the ravioli. The cheesecake was also great, very rich! The restaurant is gorgeous inside and our server was 10/10.

Thank you Melinda!

Looking for an old school Italian restaurant with great service? This place delivered. A few notes:

1) The service was amazing. I don’t think my water cup ever hit half empty.

2) The drinks were solid. Try the coconut martini.

3) Food was excellent. Wife had the lobster ravioli.
