I had a really pleasant experience at IHOP recently, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Danique A. As someone who is deaf, I’m always a bit unsure what to expect when dining out, but she handled everything with patience and respect from the start.<br><br>She made an effort to communicate clearly, maintained eye contact, and never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. Our group also took a while to decide on our orders, and she remained calm and accommodating the entire time. She checked in at just the right moments—never hovering, but always available when we needed something.<br><br>Even as the restaurant got busier, she stayed attentive. Drinks were refilled without us having to ask, and any small requests were handled quickly and smoothly. What stood out most was her attitude—it felt like she genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience, and she adapted naturally to our communication needs without making it a big deal.<br><br>That kind of awareness and patience goes a long way. Danique A made the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable, and I really appreciated the effort she put in. I’d definitely come back again because of service like that.
