Small playground near bus stop a few benches no restrooms
Dangerous street ! Be careful walking this street , people will run you over and keep on going . Please Be Very careful !
I sat for a while in that new little park at the exit of Parchester waiting for the number 11 bus to pass and I really enjoyed the moment watching the people go by.
A calming Oasis in Parkchester, This Small park is inviting and clean, No restrooms tho. Maybe they'll work on that.?
The area is pretty quiet even when there are people bustling about. There’s a Walgreens, Chipotle, and a Starbucks is opening. There is a neighborhood pharmacy, beauty supply, supermarket and general store, along with other businesses to meet most of your shopping needs.
Limited public bathroom (currently unavailable) once train station has completed renovations. Rest area near benches. Supermarkets, restaurants, a variety of supply stores, telecommunications, and a few banks are within a stone's throw away. Major transfer hub multiple bus lines, including $8 express bus.
An awfully crowded train station. Train 6 to Manhattan stops here. No parking nearby. So if you are planning to drop off someone real quick, then you’d have to double park for a few!
Terrible road going around the circle. It's completely torn up with bumbs and potholes. Not worth driving through unless you want to ruin your car. Total nightmare beyond belief. Traffic there is horrendous and drivers are honking and screaming at each other ready to fight.
Spotted in Parkchester... Has anyone tried the lobster rolls from this vendor and can review? Seems pricey.
Excellent re-build of the Circle...with park benches and soft lights. Favourite summer hangout of the men of faith from the nearby houses of worship....all it needs now is a 24/7 Dunkin....for the workers who run on it to the trains and buses....
Busy during the day but dead at night... cab drivers will not pick you up here without giving you a hard time. Make sure you take one as soon as you get out of the subway station or you’ll be hailing an waiving until the morning! Anyways, farmers sometimes come out here twice a week to sell fresh fruits and vegetables, and locally grown from the looks of it. Good potatoes, fresh and cheap corn, tomatoes apples and other simple home grown vegetables.
I seen this place transform over the pass thirty years. We need to do better in this area when it comes to keeping it clean. People walk and just litter around the station as soon as it is cleaned up. I wish that travelers would leave their bad habits at home so that everyone one else could commute and enjoy a clearer environment. This area was once very beautiful and while some are struggling to maintain others are not helping.
Nice and relaxing. Feels safe during the day due to the presence of police checking bags randomly. Also, due to gentrification, more diversity is present and makes this place interesting.
Went to get a cheese cake at Zaro's bakery but i loved all the movement in that area and being so high in the platform of the 6 train is breathtaking
