The hype about the Pulled Pork Benedict is justified! Wow! There's a dish that worked perfectly! I had the Avo Toast and it was just as good.

We had made an early reservation for 9am, just when they opened, which was probably a good idea as the restaurant filled up quickly so there was a few people waiting by time we left. I can see why!

Service was very good, the atmosphere was lovely, price was about right and the coffee was excellent.

Would definitely recommend!

Response from the owner

Thanks for the amazing review, Siobhan! We're stoked you loved the Pulled Pork Benedict and Avo Toast – those are definitely fan favorites! Smart thinking on that early reservation. We're so glad the service, atmosphere, and coffee hit the mark. Cheers, legend!

Great location, was crowded at 10am! But so work it. The brekki burger was phenomenal and the fries! I can’t rave enough about the fries, they’re the right amt of salt and I think some vinegar. Skip the granola yogurt with passion fruit unless you like a lot of tang and subtle sweetness from the granola. I also had a green shake which was nice and fulfilling. Would definitely come back again.

Response from the owner

Nat,
Thank you so much for the review! We are so happy you enjoyed the food and look forward to seeing you soon.

The scene has changed alot in NYC dining. After a 30 min walk in williamsburg at around 9:30 pm we found a restaurant still open and would allow a child. The service was warm and food decent. The cocktails were rated 10/10 and i appreciate that the chicken tenders were made of real chicken pieces breaded and fried. The smash burger was divine and corn shouldn’t be in cabonaro lol

Response from the owner

Thanks for wandering into our spot! We're so glad we could welcome you and your little one after your Williamsburg stroll. Thrilled the cocktails were a hit and you appreciated the real deal chicken tenders – that's how we do it! We'll take the smash burger compliment all day. As for the corn in the carbonara... hey, we like to keep things interesting! Hope to see you again soon.

Very disappointing experience at Hole in the Wall. The salad was, without exaggeration, one of the worst I’ve had recently. Lifeless ingredients, wilted leaves, sloppy cuts, and a combination that made no sense. It felt more like something thrown together carelessly than a thoughtful dish.

The chicken wings were just as bad. Dry, tough, and with a texture that clearly suggested they weren’t fresh. The execution was poor and the flavor completely flat. Even the sauce couldn’t save a dish that should never have left the kitchen in that condition.

The space tries to offer a pleasant atmosphere, but the food quality falls far below expectations. There are far better options in the area. I would not recommend it.

Response from the owner

Carlos, we're really bummed to hear your meal didn't hit the spot. This definitely isn't the experience we want anyone to have, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We'd love the chance to turn things around and show you what we're really about. Hope you'll give us another shot to make it right!

Absolutely worth it! We got the pulled pork Benedict and the breakfast burrito. The pulled pork was probably one of the best dishes I have ever had and strongly recommend it. The burrito tasted amazing as well but my only issue was the ingredients didn’t seem to be well spread out. One but was all egg, the next was all sausage and the next was all fries. Still worth getting though

Response from the owner

Kyle, we're stoked the pulled pork Benedict blew you away! That's exactly what we love to hear. Thanks for the heads up about the burrito - we'll make sure our kitchen crew keeps those ingredients perfectly mixed. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and can't wait to have you back for round two!

The appetizers and the entrees were absolutely delicious and lovely vibes! Love that they are open late as well. Service started off excellent and I was really looking forward to the dessert too, but unfortunately the server neglected to inform us that the kitchen had already closed until I asked him about ordering dessert… quite disappointing.

Response from the owner

Hey Yecca! We're stoked you loved the appetizers, entrees, and vibes! Sorry the timing didn't work out perfectly for dessert - we definitely want to make sure our guests know about kitchen hours. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we'd love to have you back for the full experience next time. Cheers!

Went here for dinner, I was recommended brunch, which I can’t wait to go back for because the dinner menu was spectacular. The Bahn mi sandwich remake was amazing, pork belly was super crispy yet tender, some of the best pork belly I’ve had. The dessert really stood out as well, the donut holes were really refreshing not overly sweet, balanced out by the tartness and freshness of the jam. Overall amazing experience.

Mate, that’s a proper Aussie way to review. Love it!
Came on a saturday morning for brunch.
We got pork benedict, cheddar omelete, breakfast burrito, and dulce de leche. Loved everything! Would go back! Service was fast and snappy.

Make sure you get reservations. The place gets pretty busy.

Response from the owner

We’re stoked to know you had a great visit! We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Yesterday, while walking past several restaurants, I found myself craving an exceptional meal and was immediately drawn to the menu at Hole in the Wall. We were seated right away, and the menu offered an impressive selection that truly set high expectations.

We began with the sausage rolls and wings, both of which were equally outstanding. For our entrées, we each ordered the OG Burger, and it did not disappoint. The use of ground short rib for the burger patties was an excellent choice, resulting in rich flavor and perfect texture. Every element was expertly prepared—the seasoning was spot on, the cheese melted beautifully, the bacon was crisp, the vegetables were fresh, and even the fries stood out.

It is rare to find a restaurant where every dish excels, but Hole in the Wall delivered across the board. The staff was warm, attentive, and professional, and the relaxed atmosphere added to an already outstanding dining experience.

Response from the owner

Mate, this is top-notch reviewing. We appreciate your kind words, and can't wait to have you back for more. Cheers!
Came here w just my mom and I

Got brussel sprouts and the shrimp bowl - brussel sprouts were addictive. Also the portion they gave was so big we got to take a lot home too :)

Shrimp bowl was excellent w a unique mix - the green tomatoes were an interesting sour punch. I did cut them smaller to mix in bites more. My mom loved the radish and wanted to find out what kind they were. She felt the shrimp wasn’t as fresh as the other ingredients but I felt like it was good.

Response from the owner

Mate, this is the gold standard of reviews. Cheers!
Extremely mid experience. Started off with walking in and wanting to sit at the bar as a solo diner, was told it was a 45min wait to sit inside. So I said ok I will sit outside wasn't trying to wait, it was a brick and breezy 48 degrees outside. They have a covered eating are hut no heat on it. So while sitting in the cold the staff also doesn't want to be out there so the service suffers intensely. Had to ask for my coffee at brunch 4 times before I wa told they where brewing a new pot and thats why it took so long, all while not bringing a spoon or sugar for the coffee. I ordered coffee first and got it last. My old fashioned and entree came out so fast as if it was somebody else's order that maybe got ran to me or someone declined it and they just rerouted to me.. either way it came out far to fast. Like under 8mins from ordering fast. Thats not enough time for the eggs to be as over poached as they were. The pulled pork Benedict is a solid dish make no mistake but it really came out way too quick. The old fashioned was good. Overall I think it's a dope concept for a restaurant but the details and execution that makes a restaurant great and repeatable where simply not in action today.

Response from the owner

Hey David, thanks for the honest feedback. We're bummed to hear your experience didn't hit the mark – sounds like the outdoor seating situation and service timing were off that day. We definitely want to do better on the details that make a visit worth repeating. Would love another shot at showing you what we're all about. Reach out to us at info@holeinthewallnyc.com so we can make it right. Hope to see you back soon!

What a cute place! I couldn’t decide between a few menu items as they all sounded so good, but decided on the pulled pork eggs Benny. SOOOO goood!! You should definitely check this place out and order the pulled pork eggs Benny. Had a great chat with the bartender as well.

Response from the owner

Hey Katiya! We're so glad you loved the pulled pork eggs Benny - it's definitely a crowd favorite! Thanks for the awesome review, and we can't wait to have you back to try those other menu items you were eyeing. Cheers!

Really nice atmosphere! Open and airy with good food and very friendly and excellent people that work here! I had the smash burger which was awesome! The food comes very quickly and is presented really well! The gentleman that took care of us ruled and we will definitely come back! Hope to try some of the other items on the menu! Also, the bathroom is super clean and really well done. If you’re in the area try this spot out for a casual meal, you won’t regret it!

Came here for brunch on a weekday.
Loved the ambience and atmosphere. (Plants, photography on wall, etc)
- service was good, our waitress was informative, but she did make a mistake with my order (I recieved the wrong toast, but they sent it right back and made the right one.... but my partner waited a while so we can eat together)
☕️ nutty espresso smoothie was very good... just wish it was bigger
☕️nutella mocha was alright... it needed more nutella for my liking
🍽 mushroom toast was incredible! Highly recommend, definitely the highlight of my experience here and if return just to have this again
🍽 my partner got the breakfast burrito (we don't eat pork , so he got chicken as a substitute) it was allright, not his favorite

Overall I definitely recommend this place.

Response from the owner

Hey Zarina! We're so happy you loved the ambience and that mushroom toast - it really is a showstopper! Thanks for being patient with the mix-up, and we'll make sure your nutella mocha has extra indulgence next time. Can't wait to have you back! Cheers!
