Attended for happy hour and was blown away. The first thing that will shock you is the decor (wow) and then the food is delicious. The price is affordable and portions are big, highly recommend!
Tried the spicy basil fried rice and spicy wings at Hey Thai and both were amazing. The fried rice had a perfect level of spice and a lot of flavor, and the wings were crispy, juicy, and seriously addictive. Great atmosphere and friendly service too. Definitely one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried recently.
Our waitress was really nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. My favorite drink was the lychee ice tea. Totally recommended this place. The decor is great for pictures. We got a table fast even without a reservation.
Pretty bad Thai food, drunken noodle tasted like it was just smothered in Thai sweet chili sauce. Apps tasted super deep fried and not fresh. Wouldn’t recommend. Idk where these good reviews came from. Way better Thai elsewhere in the city.
You've been warned! Yes, we also thought 4,8 rating was a guarantee for good food, we ha ha ha what a joke. Worst Thai food in our lives. We have been to Thailand many times and also in Europe we visited some great Thai restaurants.

Staff is ok, decor is ok. Food is terrible. We had a range of dishes, and all were bad. A lot of sugar and salt, nothing fresh.

- tom yam kung: fishy and salty
- panang curry with duck (pay 12 euro for 5 slices of duck.. wow): huge bowl with a lot of water. No spice
- spicy wings: hard fried showing it has been frozen too long. Sweet not spicy. We left half
- shrimp spring rolls: as our daughter said, 'too watery', I mean it is deep fried.
- happy hour cocktails, it sounds great unless the drinks are nothing like how the drink should be. Sangria is just a sugary red drink and the mango mojito same, just mango juice which my wife left after drinking half. What a waste
- true jasmin rice has great smell and flavor, this wasn't it

My belly hurts :( Why not go through the Google maps reviews of recent and there are too many 5* reviews without details from people with no record..
Love this place. We had valentines dinner here, and let me tell you the staff are very attentive and involved. They care about giving you the best experience and we were the last people to leave the restaurant and they didn’t rush us out. Whatever we needed or wanted they did without hesitation. The food is very flavorful and delightful. Our meals came out quick which we were excited about. Thank you for being a beacon of hospitality by south street seaport.
Good chicken basil and quantity for the price.
Could have been spicier.

Full disclosure for review comparison integrity: they run a promotion where you get free tea for a review. Manager takes your phone and pre-populates with 5s, then encourages you to submit before the food even arrives. I wish he'd wait until after you've actually been able to eat the food before asking if you've submitted the review.
Reserved a booth on resy and once we stepped in, the interior was just welcoming and cute. Welcoming and caring staff. Ordered pad see ew w/chicken and it was to my liking! Portion size is large for an affordable price (ate half the plate there and took the other half to go).
Visiting New York and used resy to find this yummy Thai food restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful we had about 4 different servers lol they made sure we were taken care of and our food came out perfectly with the appetizers, soup and then main course. The drinks were on point and delicious. We had the mango mojito and espresso martini for drinks and for food we had the fried mushroom, crab rangoon, peanut dumplings and coconut soup with shrimp. The main course we had the lemongrass pork chops and shrimp/chicken pad thai. Everything was very delicious and great portions for 3 people we took food home. For dessert we had the fried banana and coconut ice cream 😋 Would definitely come back and try other food on the menu!
The owner(?) had us rate the restaurant 5 stars before we ate, in exchange for a free drink. However, I wouldn't give this 5 star review unless I believe the restaurant truly deserved it. After being asked to give the good review, I immediately became skeptical and realized that that was the reason the restaurant had 4.8 stars. Nonetheless, we hoped for the best and were not disappointed!

I ordered the pad see ew, which came out hot in a large portion, with a good amount of each ingredient. The noodles were wide and soft, capturing all the flavour and contributing to the delicious dish. I was thoroughly satisfied with this dish and my friends were happy with theirs: the pineapple fried rice and the pork cutlet. Everyone had leftovers at the end, and we enjoyed a nice meal before boarding our flight early in the morning. The thai iced tea was very tasty as well, and extra delicious since it was free. Finally, the ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful with tons of decorations and fake trees, flowers, etc. We had a great meal and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice Thai place to have lunch or dinner!
We came across this cute place during our trip to New York. It is close to WTC, close to the Brooklyn bridge and in the heart of financial district. The food was amazing, not only was it delicious, but the portion size was big. Also, they had very pretty decor enhancing their overall vibe.
We went for an early dinner. Had appetizers and each of us ordered a main dish ... It was a lof of food! (We had leftovers of all main dishes) Absolutely delicious. You can ask for your level of spiceness, I of course had "Thai hot".
For Manhattan, this is a treasure at three levels: service, quality and price.
Absolutely recommend!
Cute place! Food was great , no complaints at all and the service was super excellent. We booked a reservation and was planning on going to the 9/11 museum afterwards. If you’re looking for Thai in the district area, go ahead and come here! Highly recommend
I frequent this place for lunch and I have had several dishes here already and they have not disappointed! The food is very flavorful, the staff is nice, and the ambiance is great. The place is really nicely decorated. Today I decided to go with the Basil sautéed and chicken. The lunch special is great and it includes soup or salad with your entree. This meal cost me about $16 not including tip. And as you can see they weren’t cheap with the protein! Definitely recommend coming here.
